It's a fun coaster. I had the pleasure of riding it when it opened. At the time it was new technology and a great thrill for everyone in Northeast Ohio. Now it will deliver more thrills to eager seekers at Kings Island.

Not bad riding for first few times, but thrill wore off fast. This coaster needed to be higher, faster, and longer!

A very nice addition to the park. Not to much of a thrill but the forces are felt nicely and the loop is great. It has some maintenance problems but nothing to serious.

I will miss this ride at Geauga Lake. It was a fun ride. I hope it fares well at Ki.

Deff. a mistake on the website with the speed. On the kings island website it says it goes over 50 mph's...

It's the same thing as BORG Assimilator. I rode that and it was pretty nigty, not gonna lie. Same layout, effects, and station with a different theme. I just wish we had another stand up coaster. It's not the same without King Cobra. And trust me, Memorial Day weekend I will not go up to PKI b/c it will be packed and the ride will probably break down and have maintenance problems like all other rides have had in the past. Give it a months time after it opens to ride it, b/c all the focus on it will die down and go back to the original rides. Anyways, I know I said PKI and it will forever be PKI in our hearts, so back off you politically correct people.

^^Actually the ride will rpoabably be packed for the next two seasons to come. The hype about the stupid italian job coaster just rescently died down at the end of last seasons, making it the second longest line next to FoF in the park for almost 2 years. Im just gonna go the day it opens, get in as many rides as i can until the line gets long, then go on the other rides which the focus will be drawn away from due to the crowds that will be at firehawk.

Hey, It was KI LOOOONG before it was EVER PKI!!!! And it was Hanna Barbera LOOOONG before Nickelodeon hit the scene!!! It broke my heart to see that the HB characters on the carousel had been replace with Nick Toons!!! In a lot of hearts it will always be KI foever!!!!!!

kings island has been almost a tradition in my family and my youth group. For senior skip day were all going to kings island. I am sad to see vortex be going...as i was to see king cobra go. I think that now..having cedar point having bought it out.. that kings island will get a lot more coasters... which seems good, but its not. Before...i think...what drew us to kings island was not only the rides and the memories, but the fact that.. it was ours. now its in the hands of big buisness...and eventually will be just like every other park. and i too miss hannah barbera land.. i hated seeing the beastie become the fairly odd coaster...but the kids love it.. and thats what really matters..theyre making good memories ..and ... its still fun. I hope everyone has a great season this year and enjoys kings island as much as i will

It is a great idea to move the X-Flight to King's Island because it would be their first major ride in many years. Everybody who likes that coaster will miss it.

I agree. King's Island will always be in my heart no matter what changes. The good news is that Cedar Point is a coaster hound. We will see bigger and better changes. (hopefully). KI hasn't changed themes in.... let's just say a LONG time. Rock rattle n roll? The Monster? The racer? (don't change the racer) I rode those when I was 11 and I'm 41. lol

Yeah It's been a long time since ive road the racer and rock rattle n roll. I love them a lot. I'd always fight with my friends to get in the front seat. Oh and top gun, they better not take that one out neither . If they do im never going there again.

You guys are right about it being Kings Island forever. And Kate, even though the Beast is the king, I was sad when they changed to the Beastie when it was Scooby Doo Roller Coaster. Remember that? And the ride that as kids we called the boats in the box? It was called The Enchanted Voyage, and this was before the Smurfs took it over.

Me and My Best Friend 4 Life Alexis are going to Kings Island tomarrow and I can't wait to go there of course we have both been there before but I just never get tired of the place because they always have new rides everytime I go. I can't wait to ride the FIREHAWK!!!!!

i went today and got to ride fire hawk and was one of the first 2500 to ride the ride sence the ride has opened to the public at kings island and it was one of the best rides i have ridden!!

cedar fair buying kings island is the best thing that could have happened to the place maybe now they will concentrate on putting in rides people want instead of adding to the overpopulated kiddie attractions

Why do they still have some of the que lines from Flight Commander up? Why don't they put a ride in there, insted of bungee-trampoline-pay as you go junk? The pay as you play attractions need to go.

I was able to ride Firehawk a few weeks ago and was very impressed. I have not riden a coaster that you were laying flat on. Great addition to the park, a little pick up since Son of Beast is down. Hope they continue to add great rides.

I agree with some of the other people, and say to put X-Flight back. Cedar Fairs maybe making PKI better, but they are ruining Geauga Lake. What use to be a park people go to, is now known as the park NOBODY goes to. And Cedar Fairs removing X-Flight just removed a good portion of GL public. Eventually GL, will be closed unless CF adds a new ride to GL, to gain more attention. Why does CF have to torture a park that's already been handed down numerous times, now it's just going to be given away until there's nothing left.

If Kennywood were to purchase Geauga Lake, it would put a whole new perspective. I'm sure they would've kept X-Flight where it belonged, and perhaps added more entertainment and lowered the prices on food and parking as well.

I rode firehawk. Had to after all the hoopla about it. But it is not the ride they build you up for. Still its a Great ride. Loved it. And I agree with everyone about Geauga Lake. Never been there yet, but they shoud build it up and make it better. They're tearing it down piece by piece, which is so unfair to the people there. Its all about the money, not the people! Just look at the pay-as-you-go rides. Proves my point. Bring back the good ole days when you really got your money's worth!!

Just a note for those of you wanting the return of KING COBRA -- During the years it was down, it's parts were stored outside in a field at or around the site where X-Flight/Firehawk now stands. Wikipedia or some other website reported that some people out on Kings Island Drive or I-71 spotted lime green track out in the parking area before the 2007 season started and thought it was the "New Rollercoaster's" parts. Well . . . Unfortunately those were likely the dilapidated and rusted, nonetheless unusable remains of KING COBRA that KI reportedly attempted to sell many times over the years, obviously at no avail. It is said nobody would buy it because of it's poor condition. Once Cedar Fair took over I can only guess they wanted to rid themselves of "dead weight" . . . Flight of Fear's Building( where the tangled-knot coaster structure is) supposedly is where COBRA's cars were stored up until that point. . . . I'm sorry to have to tell you that, guys. You're just going to have to move on. : (

Oh, and people -- about X-FLIGHT/FIREHAWK: If you have backpacks, bags, purses, or anything of that nature, the ride operators at the line's entrance are very likely to deny you entrance to the ride's queue. This is simply because beyond that point, they are not allowed to hold on to or watch anybody's stuff. You WILL be told to rent a locker or to hand your stuff to someone who isn't riding before you can enter. And about cell phones . . . I personally would suggest you store them too, as a lot of people think it would be alright tiojust stick it in their pockets -- BAD IDEA!! People who lose their cell phones on Firehawk generally never see them again, and if they do . . . IT'S LIKELY TO BE IN THREE OR MORE PIECES. ___You have been warned___ (If you think I'm crazy, the station operators like to take the pieces of these lost cell phones and show them to those next to get on while warning them to secure them in at the very least, a cargo pocket) Other than that, the only things they will take at the station for you are backless shoes/flip-flops, and prescription glasses. Just thought you guys might have wanted to know that before you take your house with you to X_FLIGHT/FIREHAWK and are told to rent a 75 cent locker to put it in : P

Love this roller coaster. The only thing Kings Island should do is have more lighting to the ride like ride or orange lights on the ground shining on the ride to give it the Fire Type affect....Or actual Fire and Better Station Theme. X-Flight Station was cool. But overall I love the ride.

My first ride was at night and it scared the crap out of me...but u know what...it was still fun and i wanna ride it again

This was the fourth roller coaster I rode at Kings Island. The first one was the Racer. I got off it kind of shaky and i pretty much hated it cause it was rough and bumpy. Got on Adventure Express: bumpy also, not exciting. By the time I got to Top Gun, I was kind of nervous cause it was a steel coaster and higher than the others. I got off of it, decided I just didn't like wooden coasters much. In the line for Firehawk, I was pretty much freaking out. It seemed so huge and scary and every body screams and the people getting off the ride looked either pale, afraid, or they loved it. I got on, and I LOVED it. It was my first roller coaster with a loop and if the wait wasn't so long I would have rode it again. Glad I didn't though, cause I found out Firehawk is short and not as fun as Flight of Fear and Vortex :)

I'm going to Kings Island this Friday and I'm really looking forward to riding this!

when i went, i didnt wait for it, the line was backed up to the sponge bob 3-d thing ffs. and the racer is not scary, i rode it 25 times in a row (no line :P)

Well i rode this ride at geauga lake and its the best ride ive ever ridden. Its exciting and im pretty ipset it got relocated to KI but it will do very good there. The 30 to 45 min wait was definetly worth it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Kasey! Firehawk has only broken down 1 time, and i was on it, but i am still going to ride it, even though i was stuck on my side on one of the wingovers. I still love Firehawk!!!!!!!!

I have not ridden it at Kings Island, but I have ridden it at the former Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom in Aurora, Ohio. It is an amazing ride for its time. I waited 30 minutes for it back then. Now, when I went to it in the summer of 2007, the wait was 2 hours. Overall, for the ride, I give an 8 out of 10. For the wait, a 2 out of 10. Sincerely, Graem, an iMac user

My friends an I will DEFINITALY RIDE IT I am turning thirteen on the 27th so my mom and dad is ttakin me and my 2 bf to kings island it is quit a bit aways but Totally worth it I live in Kentucky so it wil be a fun little mini road trip lol about 5 hr, I am terrified on roller coaster , but i hope to get over that fear VERY SOON!!! ONE MORE WEEK

My family and I just recently bought kings island passes. Our first time going as a family was this pass sat. We waited in line for an hour to ride the Firehawk and it was worth the wait. Firehawk is by far the best ride at kings island !

i love this ride but the first time i went on it i had flip flops on and i had to scrunch my feet so they wouldnt fly off. it made me laugh when i got off the ride. it also kinda ... ed cuz i had to ride it with my older sis who stared crying and i had to hold her hand but other than that i love the ride

I liked this ride, and it was definitely worth the wait! Another thing: Kings Island is keeping all of its roller coasters as of this moment in time, so everybody who keeps saying "Vortex and Top Gun" are leaving needs to calm down! I will continue calling NU Hanna Barbara Land and Flight Deck Top Gun because that's what I grew up calling those things!

well, i'm back. i posted about 18 days ago and i just rode firehawk about 24 hours ago at this point. i rode it while they did fireworks and it was incredible riding it at night. the cool wind through my hair and all that. sweet. and to nathan, i know what you mean. drop tower, invertigo, backlot stunt coaster, and flight deck will always be drop zone, face/off, italian job stunt track and top gun.

It's fun, until you're stranded on yourback in the mid-day sun for 45 mins looking up......and then offered only a small glass of water for your wait......

I also miss X-Flight. I miss Geauga Lake completely, im really upset that they completely shut down Geauga Lake besides the Waterpark. Espically with what they did with some of the rides there. Obviously they just moved some of them elsewhere. But if anyone remembers THe Villian from Geauga Lake/Six Flags WoA, it was a great ride, simply sold to a scrap dealer :( But I go with what everyone else says, long live KI! Cedar Fair took out Geauga lake, leaving only 2 major theme parks in Ohio, meaning only good and bigger things coming for Kings Island!!!!!
