I have a map from 1977. It's different from the 1972. Is anyone from Kings Island interested in obtaining?

I love the old maps. I would love to see a map of the park when "The Bat" opened, 1981 (I think). I was a little girl, but I rode it. It was really a good ride. Too bad it had some things wrong with it. It was just ahead of its time!

I also love Kings Island. I have old maps from the 80s when I was just little up to 2007. I hope this park will be here to show future generations! I have so many great memories there.

It's amazing how truly incredible of a theme park KI was back in the day.
It has gone down the crapper just like every other regional theme park in this country.
It truly is a shell of its former self...sad.

On the front of the 1984 brochure, what roller coaster is the one that is yellow?

does anyone know what the honeycomb looking pastry with powdered sugar on top was called? This was back in the 70's. Now they sell funnel cakes (elephant ears), but I am almost certain they were called something else!

Julie: I think they are called french waffles. I remember seeing them in Cedar Point last year.

Jonathan: I think it is Screamin' Demon, first looping coaster at KI. Closed a bit before Vortex opened.

hi folks.... I'm Aaron... does anyone know where I can buy one of the old cars from the ride which sat in place of the test track ride before it opened? you know, they looked like old model-t Fords... was my favorite ride as a child and money is not an object!

Jonathan: It was the Screamin' Demon. It was a single loop and that was all. You climbed up about 1000 steps, got on the train, went doun a hill, around a loop, and up a hill. Then you did the whole thing in reverse. It was not worth the effort. When it was closed down, the ride was purchased by Camden Park in Huntington, WV where it sits unused, to this day.
