If you got to talk with the new CEO and he asked what you'd like to see come back to KI, what are your top 3 choices? Ideally, you're responses would be realistic and "easily" attainable and most likely not a major attraction. 

Outside of the obvious things such as the removal of Peanuts and Six Flags trademarks in addition to changing/removing the meal plan and things like that, I think we would see the following:

• A return of the original logo, or just a new logo altogether to better fit with the HFE or UPR branding.
• A more "independent" operation for the park. It seems that, to an extent, some of the larger HFE parks operate more like their own individual companies under a larger parent corporation.
• Less "highly intimidating" roller coaster or ride names (with HFE) like Copperhead Strike or Dominator. Kings Island doesn't have many names I could see changing since KI generally uses "creature" names for big coasters. See the renaming of Storm Chaser and Thunder Run at Kentucky Kingdom for why I'd be worried about that.
  • I could be completely wrong with my wording for this, but it feels like rides at some HFE parks have "tamer" names. Wind Chaser and Wilderness Run could just be casualties of the area being rethemed.
• Maybe we could see an attempt to make Kings Island into more of a regional destination theme park, like Busch Gardens or Dollywood. Extending the park's reach further into more markets could be a goal of a non-Six Flags company.
• A shift in focus:
  • Even more focus on families with HFE. Innovative rides and attractions could still be installed (like Dollywood is getting), but I don't expect more record-breakers.
  • A higher focus on thrill-seekers with UPR. Maybe some record-breakers and thrilling coasters (like Pantheon) could be installed.
• Maybe a change in how high the park sits on its operator's tier list. If enough parks in another chain sit higher, it's possible that KI could see more or less (or better/poorer) investment than it currently sees.

My personal wish would be for a new Kings Entertainment Company to form and take on some of the parks, but I can understand how hard it might be to do that. I imagine it could be a good combination between HFE/United/Cedar Fair if done right. Another upside would be the addition of another big-ish operator to offset from the Cedar Fair/Six Flags merger. 

Go wild with this theoretical thought experiment. I'm curious to see what everyone thinks could change!

C. Sorta excited but deep down you know it won’t be as good as Original Phantom 

D. Neutral/Not excited or even maybe prefer Boo Blasters or Scooby 

I myself would choose B as while I am extremely excited and I hope that this ride blows me away I am slightly concerned that they will re use too many boo blasters elements or potentially the that new “flashlights” won’t work for long periods of time like the blasters, having said that I believe even a decent Phantom Theater ride is better than Boo Blasters any day of the week! Let me know what you think guys

For myself, a majority of it is Kings Island, WDW or Epic Universe, the latter being most of my theme park purchases in 2025.

My favorite was Order of the Dragon. I think it's a great maze addition, and hope to see more like this in the future!

I have decided to keep these battles within the region...unless it's a GREAT one...and so this one fits perfectly because it only features KI and Cedar Point coasters. And sorry Fairly Odd Coaster, I wanted to keep this between the "bigger" rides.

I'd have to say Rivertown. It's got a great ride lineup, it looks really nice, and it overall just has a nice feeling to it.

Also, I'm counting smaller areas like Area 72 and Camp Snoopy as their own areas, even though some people might consider them "sub-areas" of other areas.

Improvements could be any of the following:

• Paint job
• Near miss objects
• New trains
• Theming
• Structures (tunnels count)
• Altering the lift/propulsion mechanism
• Other

You can chose one or many improvements depending on the coaster you select.

I’m excluding giving wooden coasters the RMC treatment or Titan track from this thread.

I’ll start with an example: 

I would improve Banshee by adding tombstones underneath the pretzel element to give a near miss element.

I understand there was a contract with the animatronic company but if they were to have done it differently, I think they should’ve done the following:

1. Create a test park. I think they should’ve picked one park to be the guinea pig and learned from that. They could’ve learned how to enhance the product before adding one to another park.
    
2. Not have it inside the park if they wanted to charge. This could or could not have worked depending on what park we’re talking about. In a perfect world, I would’ve preferred the DA attractions to be their own property so people could go enjoy it as it’s own thing instead of having to pay an up charge on an existing park ticket. Of course Gold Pass members could get in to both properties. Like I said “in a perfect world.”
3. Have it be more than just a walkthrough attraction. At this point I’m treating it like its own park. I don’t necessarily think that they could’ve added large coasters or anything like that, but a small kiddie coaster and some small flat rides could’ve complimented the experience, along with a restaurant and maybe a zip line course.
4. Paint the Dinosaurs. I understand accuracy is crucial for education but all the Dinos in DA were brown or grey which, if you have young ones, can make the experience visually unappealing. Im not saying paint them wacky colors, but maybe freshen them up a tad.

For me it’s either Dollywood or Hershey. I’ve been impressed with how they balance out their additions while still focusing on the family element-something KI is obviously leaning more towards.

Mine is either Coney BBQ or Brewhouse. I prefer Coney, but I somehow seem to always be at Brewhouse when I'm there!
