  1. Past hour
  2. My burning question for this season is: What kind of music will be on international street and Rivertown? Unfortunately, due to work, I will not be at the park for a few weeks.
  3. We'll see you all at Kings Island today in Passholder preview
  4. Today
  5. Let CSO amd MEMI get involved....torn down in a New York second.....lol, punks.
  6. I would personally like to see the entrance and lighthouse stay but hope CSO and MEMI tear them both down...dont want them to have the satisfaction acting as if they care.....such **sholes.....
  7. Happy opening weekend everyone! Here’s to a great 2024 season!
  8. While true a lot of big name artists have radius clause contracts with concert promoters like Live Nation basically forbidding them from performing at another venue within a certain amount of distance from a venue owned and/or supported by the concert promoter. In Cincinnati you have Bogarts nearby which is owned by Live Nation and Riverbend is also used by Live Nation. The main thing with SOB is that it was SBNO for a few years before demolition bc the park was figuring out what to do with it and considering all options before deciding to demolish it.
  9. Can they add chicken tenders to any other location? (Satire) I mean The Chicken Shack usually has pretty good chicken, but why are tenders at Grain and Grill? Is it that difficult to get grilled boneless skinless chicken at this location ? Was it because of all the undercooked chicken legs last year? Grain and Grill is supposed to be a healthier option. And what happened to the emphasis on locally sourced food that was a big deal under chef major? Are we back to total reliance on Sysco et al?
  10. Yea there's no reason to pay to demolish it until they have to. And with Timberwolf, it's able to still be used. So even if it isn't hosting many things it is still able to and can be a small revenue source until it comes time for them to have to make a real decision on whether to keep it or not. I do feel the time for a decision on that general area is coming but its not imminent yet.
  11. Video made me feel like I was there since my invite got lost in the (e) mail.
  12. My interpretation of that link is unless it shows the SNACK icon, then it is on the meal plan. Maybe the nachos and smoked wings are available but not on the meal plan and thus why they are not on this list? And interesting that the link file is called "mobile-dining-plan-guide" - does that imply all of this is available for mobile ordering? But knowing CF that is probably incorrect LOL.
  13. It is sad when they mention the nachos and smoked wings for the Brewhouse in the chef’s write up and then don’t even have them listed on the released menu link. Also noticed the menu link does not identify which menu items are actually on the meal plan (only identifies snack items on the premium dining plan). Will wait to see how many “up charges” occur with the various menu items later tonight.
  14. I didn't notice it before....but I see a neon chicken sign! I like it!
  15. But not just any chicken tenders, these are special. So the redesign of the Chicken Shack looks like a problem waiting to happen - so they have what appears to be two sides like Enrique's has, but the divider does not go all the way to the counter like it does at Enriques. I see someone just line jumping to the other side if the side they picked is slowed down. Or maybe like the other dual side restaurants, we will rarely see both open so it won't matter LOL. And no pigs in a blanket at pigpens mess hall - seems like a missed opportunity lol. But hey they got chicken nuggets.
  16. So basically Chicken Shack is going back to how it was before. I believe it used to be setup this way where they had the food out and they put the food on your tray as you ordered the food. Then they changed it to where you ordered your food then they made it in the back and called your number which on busy days was very chaotic bc it would be so loud in there and they didn't have a mic to call out order numbers so they would have to yell out the numbers and it was hard to hear and the orders wouldn't be in order so you could've easily missed your order called. I believe it was 2019 (right before the Covid year) they added self touch order screens in there as well. Also please I hope they bring back the self serve hot sauce dispenser. I don't understand why they took it away. I liked having the hot sauce dispenser to soak my chicken tenders and fries in hot sauce lol.
  17. Well, the new dining plan info has been released. Kings Island's Executive Chef Shares 2024 Season Updates (visitkingsisland.com) Two featured new menu items.....two not featured (sandwiches at French Corner)....nothing major to write home about....Grain and Grille removed the Chicken Drumsticks for you guessed it....chicken tenders!!!! Which reminds me: From Kings Island welcomes new executive chef and opens new restaurant | InPark Magazine: Does Mr. Koontz think the culinary offering gives a reputation where unique food offerings is in good hands? Does he still think they are unique? Anywho, back to the original link: This was an interesting edit..... How long does it take to plan chicken tenders? The video itself.....is edited, a lot....gives off the vibe of "we can edit a video" but there really wasn't much content in it. I would have loved to see more of the food they worked on all winter. Notable: Jukebox and Chicken Shack for sure got a refreshed inside, see the pic of Chicken Shack below.
  18. Now either named version is missing from the app.
  19. Yesterday
  20. I kind of hope this coaster helps to add more step up rides/coasters to the park. I really like Cedar Point's ride selection due to that reason, they have a lot of coasters that aren't necessarily big or intense, but still fun like Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, CCMR, Gemini and Blue Streak. I've always wanted a ride like Jaguar at KBF where its kind of an intermediate coaster that just meanders through the park with lots of path interaction.
  21. I refer to how the park handled SOB staying up SBNO for so long- they didn't remove it until they were ready to build Banshee.
  22. I think this topic has been discussed to death. In short, there is no reason to demolish it until there is. So when this part of the park is redeveloped, it will either get upgraded or demolished as part of that budget allocation. Right now it's good for the small events it hosts and WinterFest storage/staging.
  23. Still having issues with the ads and now on the right side of the page, recent posts are running off the page and not staying in the boundary.
  24. Smaller communities book national acts.....it isn't hard to book them....if you have the $ and a venue they'll agree to it about 99% of the time.
  25. Nice video. Fun fact: Good Gravy! has a top speed of 37 mph while Snoopy's Soap Box Racer has a top speed of 36 mph.
  26. If they're doing concerts free with admissions- why not invite the plethora of volunteer community bands in the area to play at the park?
  27. Its hard to get national acts with there being tons of nicer venues near downtown Cincy. However, what Carowinds is doing is making the concerts free with park admission. If KI were to do another concert series, I predict it would be like Carowinds as I think just making the concerts free with park admission would be a solution. Now, Carowinds' venue is actually fairly similar to Riverbend just without the grass lawn so it is much nicer than Timberwolf and seats more people. So Idk if the same acts that are going to Carowinds would go to Timberwolf too, but I would love to see a Coke sponsored concert series come to KI too.
