  1. That's funny, Google Photos just sent a "remember this day" notification about that date...I can't believe that's been 9 years ago! Here's a few pics from that day:

  2. Maybe I'll do a TR for this. It'll mostly be videos of @malem maleming toward rides that aren't open.

  3. Motor Vehicles. String lighting would be cool, but I am guessing that given KI’s earlier closing hours in general there would be less bang for the buck especially during the peak summer months. Still it would just be a small fraction of the amount used for Winterfest I don’t see it as a huge stretch.

  4. Those who were wanting to attend Cedar Point's Winter Chill Out in 2018 and didn't get a ticket yet, unfortunately/fortunately tickets sold out overnight. @acole5292, @pianoman, @malem and I will be attending the 10:30 tour! I think KI could do a successful event as well with the popularity of the event at CP. Like CP, KI could give behind the scenes tours, have a Q&A session with park officials, release information to attendees before it's out to the public (like CP did with Shoot The Rapids removal, etc.), have a lunch and of course exclusive goodies. The profits for the event could go toward A Kid Again (like CP does) or another local charity.

  5. Those cars are waiting for their maintenance. They only have a certain amount of room to bring in trains for maintenance. Once the trains have maintenance completed they are placed back on the track/transfer shed, not just hanging out under the ride.

  7. It doesn't help that a bus line has a terminal there for when the park is in operation when it comes to crowd sizes. Jump on the bus to go to CW and not have to pay for parking? Sure! The one thing they have going for them is unique flats. Which to me is something worth going for. I personally love coasters but I'm not afraid of checking out flats. I wish we had a Sledgehammer and some of the other flats they have.

  8. That's honestly been one of the things I have been dying to see here at KI since Knott's put them in on their boardwalk area and then CP put them in on the Gemini Midway. Yes please!

  11. Haven't you heard of that new "anti-track" element? It's very popular in Russia. lol

  12. But @SonofBaconator that wasn't what was asked...it was just asked if there was an example of a coaster moving somewhere else in a park But yeah, I mean BLSC definitely would be more difficult than something like Wild Cat

  13. Wildcat at Cedar Point was moved. I believe it was near the beach and then moved to it's home across from Iron Dragon.

  14. I see the cars, but don't notice anything different with them. Hopefully they are still being replaced. Darn rain blocking part of the cam

  15. My wife and I hit up Canada`s Wonderland several years ago (2014). We visited in May, before Wonder Mountain`s Guardian was open. We found it to be a fun park. We got our pass ports for the trip, but we also hit up Niagara Falls on the way (as well as Waldameer). The park has a lot of charm and theming still. The flat rides are fun (and they have added new ones since our visit). We will definitely be going back, once our son is older. He is one year old, so this year our trips are going to be limited to Kings Island and Coney Island.

  19. It would be sweet to have a KI edition. I would vote for the Mac n cheese bar for the meal!!

  20. They wouldn’t loose anything from it. What does anyone 5 years or younger ride- just kiddie rides. It’s not like they would be giving away free rides on anything major. On the same note, they are still going to make money off adult passes, for adults that spend most of their time on/around kiddie rides. We have 2 adults, a 6 year old and a toddler. We spend most of our time on kiddie rides. I think we each got a ride on MT & AE last year, and I got a ride on Banshee. That’s it. Tell me who is coming out ahead in that deal? It isn’t me.

  22. I had been in contract with the park since this picture made social media. Earlier today, I heard from Chad Showalter who confirmed that these are in fact new seats for Diamndback. Keep an eye on KI social media for pictures in the coming weeks!

  23. I dont see anything coming ride wise other then maybe a restaurant. With the over haul of Mean Streak, and Mystic opening last year, KI might take a break from rides. I could be wrong. They need a new Cirque show. They have so many out there the park could do.

  24. I still haven't heard a whisper of a rumor one way or the other. I'm obviously really hoping that KI continues their relationship with Les Productions Haut-Vol to bring another new Cirque show to the KI Theater. However the past three years, I had heard about as legitimate rumors as you can get without an official announcement by now, usually by the end of Cirque for the year. This time, silence. The only thing I know for sure is that the set for Origins was broken down and removed (a friend saved a couple small chunks for me), but it was expected that Origins would only have a two year run, just as Cirque Imagine did. Prior to its end I had assumed a new Haut-Vol production would replace it but I'm a little concerned not to have any verification. If not Cirque, I hope it is something else interesting and up to that quality!

  25. I abstain from voting. I feel like our coaster line-up right now covers a wide variety of different qualities that different riders may enjoy. Even the coasters I like less than others, or ones that aren't meant to be for someone like me (Great Pumpkin, for example) do fill their own niche. I also feel there is room, without removal, to add coasters that would fill different gaps in the lineup. If any coaster were removed, it would be /someone's/ favorite coaster, and that doesn't sit well with me. So I vote not even one!
