  2. ....when you start wondering how fantastic it would be if you could go back in time and tour KI through the years through a crazy weird backdated kind of Google Maps/Earth type thing to see what was where and what it all looked like from the ground rather than old aerial photos and videos. Then you start wondering if such a thing exists.... and put it out into the KIC universe with your fingers crossed. LOL! But seriously..... anyone?

  8. "Millenium" "Valryvn" Huh never heard of these rides before. "4)Valryvn 4.418M" Wow that's impressive!

  9. IMHO, The Beast is as smooth at is ever was (at least in my 30+ years of riding it). The smoothest seats should be in the middle row of each car as they don't sit directly over a wheel. Its not near as rough as SOB (again in my opinion). If you are 20, that means you were around 8 or 9 the last time SOB was operational, tough to make that comparison b/w a 9 year old body and a 20 year old body. At any rate, if you think its too rough, that just 1 less person in line ahead of me

  10. Well it all started by sending a text message out. Hey, whats up? Nothing, you, nothing here. How about you get on your laptop and we record an hour long podcast. Humm, sure!

  11. The last couple of years going to Kings Island every time I experience The Beast it’s gotten worse and worse.... it’s beginning to really hurt... don’t get me wrong I am a huge beast fan and don’t think there’s any other coaster experience like it, it’s theming and ride the woods is just perfect.. but now anytime I go to Kings Island it is a one time ride and done because it’s gotten so rough in my opinion. The only spot in the train that it is not rough is the very front seat anywhere else it is rough.. just seeing what everyone thinks of this but in my opinion The Beast has gotten as bad as the Son of Beast... and I’m only 20 years old too and it hurts me pretty bad

  12. I prefer the middle. It's difficult to get lapbar down though. The Beast is always going to have that wild side to its ride experience. Like, IndyGuy4KI said, it ran great last season. I never saw it closed or delayed (outside of weather) in my many trips to the park. If you want a smooth experience sit in the front row or sit towards the front in the middle of a car (you're off the wheel in the middle).

  13. Just give me a GIGA and I’m set for life... between a giga, Diamondback, Banshee and Mystic Timbers those rides would occupy me forever wouldn’t care what we got as long as a giga comes

  16. Beast is pretty smooth these days, but any good wood coaster feels a little bit out of control IMO. It's called "Beast". If you want to sip a cup of tea along the way, apparently you missed about 50 signs in the queue line.

  17. It won't die until we get it. Just because Banshee and Mystic Timbers weren't gigas doesn't mean we will not get one. Banshee was added 20 years after Raptor and Diamondback came 20 years after Magnum and Millennium Force will be 20 years old in 2020. So I think we haven't gotten a giga yet since they are waiting until Millennium Force is at least 20 years old. Also, Kings Island tends to add coasters after the craze on that coaster is dying down. Like the invert craze was from the late 90s to early 2000s, the hyper craze was from the early to mid 2000s, and the GCI craze was from the late 2000s to early 2010s. The giga craze right now is the early to mid 2010s with I305, Leviathan, and Fury 325. The reason they're not too common is because most parks either can't afford them, don't have the land, and/or have very strict low height limits. Kings Island has none of that and the ki height limit is not so low and they have lots of land and Cedar Fair tends to poor lots of money into Kings Island. So I'm saying is that we may get it in the 2020s which is basically after the giga craze since RMC is the big thing right now. Mystic Timbers really spiked up attendance this year. I was there a lot and the crowds were insanely big in the evenings a lot. Kings Island could use a people eater like Fury if they get crowds like that. Banshee does very well with the people eating category so another 4 seater b&m could do the trick.

  19. The main draw to Cedar Point is the fact that they call themselves "the roller coaster capital of the world" and I wouldn't say the main draw is Valravn or one particular coaster, back on topic now, I actually don't think we are going to get a Giga, I don't want to be "that guy", but why does this rumor not die? Clearly, Mystic Timbers wasn't a Giga coaster, and Banshee wasn't a Giga coaster? Also, Banshee raised attendance by 1%, I don't think that's worth the 24 million dollar investment, I'm curious to see how Mystic Timbers does with attendance.

  21. I had a dream last night -- not of KI though, but of KI's sister park Kings Dominion. I dreamt I was riding Anaconda to my heart's content (don't judge, I actually like it and it already receives too much hate)! My mom and I had talked a few weeks back about how an out-of-state amusement park trip would be possible this summer if I got good-enough grades this semester, and I still have not been back to Kings Dominion since April 10, 2012. I think I know where I would want to go should said trip happen... -BFF, who would love to experience Anaconda's wonderful first drop once again hopefully sometime in the near future, as well as visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg to celebrate Nessie's 40th anniversary this year.

  23. Last night I had a dream it was KI Opening Day and my one friend kept sitting at the hotel and watching TV and I think I might have been as well. Because of that, we didn't get into the park until late afternoon. And the other night, I had a dream Vortex was at Cedar Point.

  26. The KI Eiffel Tower is an Intamin as well and we know about its death...and to be relevant to this giga speculation topic, the KI Eiffel Tower is a giga in height

  27. I think KI's next coaster will be something smaller to compliment Timbers and then we'll get something bigger like a giga coaster.

  28. Some great physical and thematic improvements are coming to Kings Dominion's Candy Apple Grove. Could we see similar enhancements in Coney Mall in the near future? With Carowinds rethemeing their Planet Snoopy to Camp Snoopy, is Cedar Fair focusing more on cohesive themed environments? https://www.kingsdominion.com/blog/big-changes-coming-to-candy-apple-grove

  29. A giant Dip-N-Dots stand. Plus, a Dip-N-Dots coaster that takes you from the payment window, to the pickup area, then back to the exit. "Worlds Fastest, Tallest, Longest Dip-N-Dots! Only at Kings Island"

  31. What about doing a ride similar to Soarin. You could somehow do a story as someone attempting to a cave skydive into a cave were a "Mystical Beast" ruins your flight!

  32. Remove BLSC and add a Mack like Blue Fire or Helix. A night ride would be incredible

  33. Would it be possible to relocate the entrance to BLSC to near the floral clock and theme it to alpine toboggan racing? Would definitely fit International Street well.

  35. Sure does. If you are pregnant,. CF sure does love their nuanced records. Well they could have run it if they added a ton of antifreeze to the water.
