  1. This is my personal opinion on the matter. Some take the word "Single" literally. If a group of people that know each other are okay with riding separate with a stranger, and most likely different trains, I don't see any park rules being broken by using the single rider lane. I am pretty sure it is an option for a few reasons. This technically makes load times quicker, for the ride ops are not spending time latching seat belts around restrains, and helps with capacity.

  2. Question. I got “read the act” last week when I was there with my older two kids and we did single rider for Mystic. My kids are older and can both wait by themselves until we all ride and we had NO expectation that we would ride together. This lady kept telling me she drove “three hours by herself without her family to enjoy the park” at first I thought she was being nice and chatting in line. Then I realized she was “informing me” I was violating her definition of single rider. I don’t get it. If three people in front of her were total strangers or knew each other was irrelevant as she still would wait till three people were placed in front of her. She wouldn’t stop. Kept saying “I’m a single rider” finding other “ singles” to support her argument in line. No wonder she’s there without her family. They probably don’t care for her either. Didn’t really matter since when we got to the load and they went to get a single she cut in front of my son (who was really the next single) just so she could get on and I guess prove her point. Whatever, but thoughts? Should single riders really be lonely people with no friend by themselves, or are people who are together but have no expectation of riding together or sitting on the same train to be allowed?

  3. I'm sure the park will want to have it worked on in time for their 50th anniversary, which is also The Racer's 50th year in operation

  4. I retract this statement entirely. I would hate to see that happen as what's not broken does not need fixing.

  5. I think its more a matter of being practical to not do Fast Lane for Winterfest than anything else. Rides aren't really the main feature, thus, its not necessarily the best use of a Fast Lane program.

  7. This weekend my girlfriend and I did a video at Kings Island's WinterFest because we were the winners of the tree lightning ceremony, tell us what you think of the video! (Guest starring F.Y.E. Coasters ) https://youtu.be/dyb4WayZMXY

  10. Thank you! I appreciate that, and I would love for a KIC admin to be in a future video, I'm sure we could arrange something.

  11. I personally liked your dancing. When are you going to have a KIC admin on a video?

  12. Spent so much time putting up lights and didn't even bring down the Firehawk sign?

  13. I feel like Racer will recieve some love soon, since they bothered to give the lift hill a "lighting package" for WinterFest. I certainly hope so at least. Easily the most iconic ride at the park (save the Grand Carousel) and it's looking a little rough.

  14. Would love to see some new rides added to Coney Mall. A tilt a whirl and Ferris wheel would be perfect for that area. I'd also like to see that ugly sky coaster get removed and replaced with another larger flat ride like a HUSS Jump2 (Sledgehammer) or a Gerstlauer sky roller (Like the new one at Canada's Wonderland). That would be a great way to market a newly themed land (Action Zone renovation)

  15. It was given a facelift, but that back entrance has been open since at least 2004 when i first went.

  16. That was Matt Ouimet. Although still on the board, he is no longer CEO. That seat now belongs to Richard Zimmerman. New blood could have different ideas. Only time will tell. I am not sure I want to see a wing coaster flying overhead, but a sprucing up of the entrance would be nice. I think modernizing it like CP's entrance facade would be nice. Paging @Hawaiian Coasters 325 and @Maverick44 for some more Giga Concepts!

  17. Except what would that gain them? Its not like it sits on a large plot of land. I think the more logical place for expansion would be on the marina side, by where Wildcat and the dorms currently are (for now anyway). It is worth noting that they continue to purchase more land on the main land and not on the peninsula. They haven`t revealed what they intend to use that additional land for.

  20. That's not a retrack, that's a redesign. And a very large renovation at that.

  23. I am not sure how this upsets anyone, and no one is cutting. Think of it this way. That group of 4 could have been in front of you in the regular queue. That may have caused you to wait another cycle before getting on. Instead they are filling in empty seats by not riding together. In turn actually saving you a cycle wait. Seems they may have saved you time, not hurt it!

  26. Using the old Crypt building......How about the Gunpowder Factory Ghost Mines? It would have mine tunnels, explosions, and a hidden treasure before plunging to the depths of the mine to meet your demise. I'd make it with several turntable tracks, elevators to different levels and some dips and drops to make the ride nearly unique with every ride.
