When I sit down and think about it, there’s a lot of things to celebrate this year at Kings Island. Of course you’ve got the International Street upgrade, Antique Cars and the new Brewery restaurant. But there are several anniversaries at the park this year. Beast is 40 years old, Soak City/Waterworks is 30, Drop Tower and Invertigo are 20, and Diamondback is 10. Yes, here is @malem's map overlay from page 1.

Possibly as early as preview night. If, as I believe (but without verifiable proof), there is a new coaster coming in 2020, I think there will literally be signs when the park opens this season. Signs like these for Mystic Timbers (long before we knew what it would be): Not too much longer and we’ll at least know reasonably for sure if something is coming or not. But, beyond that, actual construction schedule? Anyone who /could/ tell us, wouldn’t.

I don't want to get too excited or overreact, but from this 1/1000th scale cartoon map, it seems obvious that this new fountain is going to rival the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I’m not certain he’s trying to say that Royal SHOW Fountain is the official name. I think he’s just making a comment, which is fair.

ANYWAY It sure looks like there aren’t pedestals in the fountain on the map.

Lord almighty, get over it. I think he was saying it should be called the show fountain because of its new capabilities, not “I have it from the park directly it will now be called the royal show fountain” it’s semantics and maybe bad wording, but is it really worth trying to prove how “right” you are?

You’ve made a claim, @IndyGuy4KI an admin asked for you to source it. You said to look at the map. I went and looked and could find no such evidence. Not my opinion, a fact.

The park has confirmed the Miami River Brewery (MRB) will have a bar. I was not told if it is the same bar or a new one.

Since there are a lot of good questions and answers in the KIBlog Mailbag posts. I think it would be a good idea to have its own thread to have them in one place. Whatever happened to the Kings Island Hall of Fame? What roller coaster was more important to Kings Island, the Racer or The Beast? What are the actual opening years for the relocated Coney Island rides (Monster, Scrambler, RFYLCB, etc)?

With how close The Beast actually goes to the LMR, it would have to be pretty tight through there. Not to mention the turn right before the second lift hill.

FYI: The smoking section near Flight of Fear was there during Winterfest 2018. I know because my friends+sister I go to KI with usually smoked there while I rode Flight of Fear 4 times in a row (thank you single rider line!). Looks like it's staying there for the 2019 season at least, though.

Awww man! I always loved smoking over near Banshee! LOL But in all honesty, I usually do not find many people smoking in the park, but that may just be with my experience

Looks like smoking section to the left of Banshee is gone.

The royal fountain is diffrent and OMG IS GOING TO BE EVERYWHERE! YES!

It was like a little stand selling corn on the cob and turkey legs(?) IIRC.

They are currently test running BLSC. I just saw the red train do a roll back through the first helix because it didn't have enough momentum to make it over the top.

When I read this, I immediatly thought of my friend who is into craft beer, but at the same time, I'm interested in that bread. Also, I wonder if the bar area from Reds will stick around... I've really enjoyed getting some water and taking a breather from all the rides and walking around.

Looks killer! Hoping for table service and decent quality food (and beer, of course).

It sounds like it is changing, there's an article on the Kings Island blog, says there will be a brewhouse directly across from Mytic and also says it will be on the dining plan.
