Fury’s(right) height vs intimidator(left) Even though ours isn’t as tall, I believe it’s still going to tower over Diamondback nicely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Here's an idea: If the coaster name is Polaris, they could have a sign that says "Orion Rocket Fuel"5 points

I’d put a dive machine where Vortex is now. Good spot for a nice compact layout. as for the former SOB area behind Banshee, instead of a ground-up RMC i’d put a Gravity Group woodie like Voyage back there.5 points

That’s a nearly 200-feet decrease in elevation from the top of the reverse treble clef to the bottom. It’s going to be exhilarating.5 points

Hi! I’m actually really happy that you took the time to analyze these elements. I spent WAY to long on them so that when anylized they’d pass the test of scrutiny. I know for a fact my “recreation” isn’t perfect because we don’t have B&M’s 3D model of the ride. However concerning both those elements based on the blueprints (I used a direct scaled overlay to make the elements) I’m pretty confident in the shaping to the extent they demonstrate the concept of the respective element. For the first turn around that I am calling a “reverse dive turn” has a a little bit of airtime at the “crest” but since we know the high and low points from the blueprints and the turn shape from a top down view. It would appear to be a more standard turn then “reverse treble clef” like we originally thought. secondly, the airtime hop was shaped based on the locations and heights of the high and low points and their distances from one another, and I minimized the negative as best as possible with out going crazy on the pullout of the drop from the hill. The height of the Hill is about 54 ft. Let me know if you’d like any other angles of the coaster from No Limits 2! This is the point, to truly decode this project and investigate how awesome this ride will truly be! Side note... is there a better way to get a POV then ride view?5 points

No need to talk down to everyone. Especially with topics as pointless as elevators. But thank you for that information; I didn't know that either.4 points

Still hard to believe they can actually make a lift hill taller than the top observation deck of the Eiffel Tower. When I was a kid going up on the tower, I never would have believed it was possible. Just another reason to be excited for this giga. It's still a marvel of technology. 3oo feet up will never fail to be shocking to me.4 points

Every time I go up there It seems like they take us right to the top. When is there the option to go to the lower floor?4 points
-
^Yes I did. I don’t really know what it could be (I don’t think it’ll be a standup type ride. Maybe seats facing away from the track?), but it’s exciting that they’re possibly making a brand new coaster type. It seems like it would be a good fit for CP if they every decide to have a coaster interact more with the water (at least just based off the name) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Fury KI’s Coaster Also as others have mentioned, the peak of this element is nearer to the entrance than in the center. Leviathan’s is more directly in the middle of the element while Fury’s is near the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

The highest elevation on the turn is on the left side, so the shaping is more one-sided than the turn on Leviathan. It also curves inward a bit like a wave turn, whereas Leviathan stays relatively straight until it reaches the apex. I'd screenshot the differences if OneDrive was working on my PC.4 points

Kings Island Giga No Limits 3D Model Update! I’ve completed the POV, and cinematic off-ride video and Amusement Insiders will post it in the next day or so! I really hope you enjoy the product of almost a month of work! I know, I know, this anticipated POV, video can’t come soon enough but to wet your appetite further, here is the Giga Prediction from no limits photoshopped on the land clearing! Enjoy!4 points

I’ve seen both open. It’s rare, only when they are VERY busy, and when they are overflowing with staff. Also, I don’t think that @Shaggy was talking down. You’d be surprised how many don’t know that the elevators go to different floors. For the record, most of the time the top (right side elevator) is that one that’s open usually. Most of the time the bottom level is open on rainy days since it’s protected by the upper floor.3 points
-
Who was talking down? Not me. My post was informational. Please do not try to cause a conflict on these boards when there wasn’t a negative tone to my post.3 points

You do realize the elevator on the left (when waiting in line)goes to the lower level only, and the elevator on the right goes to the top level only, right? There’s no random option as to what level your elevator stops at. It just depends which level they decide to operate for the day. I can’t remember the last time I was there when both levels were open simultaneously.3 points
-
Lower one is only ever open when it’s raining, so you don’t get wet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

He is talking about the 265-foot level. There are two decks at the top at 275 and 265 feet.3 points
-
I agree! I don't scare easily but I feel genuinely unsafe on the lower deck. The top deck feels more sturdy, the floors aren't as rusted and don't buckle as much, plus if you fall through the top floor, the second floor MIGHT catch you lol3 points

I'm glad we're finally asking the hard questions... It appears we've stumbled upon the record that counts, y'all: World's First Gluten Free Giga Coaster! And isn't that Surf Coaster filing somewhat old at this point?3 points

I know Tony Clark has always been joking about getting an Aquatrax, and maybe since Cedar Fair is B&M’s playground, they will build their first water coaster at Cedar Point. Edit: Since Carowinds recently removed their Intamin River Rapids Ride, maybe they are also a possibility for receiving this new coaster... if it is a water coaster.3 points

Maybe since that's at Carowinds that could have been the second option behind Fury 325. Also, the cloud and the bolt of lightning looks like Mean Streak. Just thought that was a cool detail.3 points

I'm talking about the gray track against the building. That's the MCT track that is KI's. Your pic that you say is where the KI track was with the brown curved track is taken of that brighter blue section of the building off to the left of the Midway Mayhem pic. Here is another pic from them showing the area you are saying where the KI track was. The same curved pieces are sitting there. https://www.facebook.com/pg/MidwayMayhem/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2334996800079258&ref=page_internal3 points

I would love love to see a floorless come to Kings Island. In my opinion, that's one coaster that's missing from the park. I feel like Cedar Point is more complete now with Rougarou since 2015. I know some people will argue that coaster sucks, but to me I love it! Maybe when Kings Island does decide to build one, they could build the first one with the vest restraints. Heck I think it would be awesome to have the first Floorless Giga, but the likelyhood of that happening is slim. There would be a lot of butterflies going down the first drop though.3 points

I wonder if they’ll use a non chosen name in theming like something like this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

This reminds me of that candle company that makes scented candles based on smells you experience at Disney parks. Their name is slipping me, but Offhand Disney sometimes promotes them.3 points

I’ve been looking at this NL2 creation and a few things pop out to me. First, very good recreation. This is probably exactly what ours will be like, element wise. However, some of the shaping leads me to believe some of the forces may be off. Firstly, on the small speed hill, I don’t believe it will reach -1.1 Gs. If you compare it to those camelbacks found on fury, you can see how Fury’s exit is more drawn out in comparison. On this recreation, the coaster bites down, which would give more negative Gs when whipping over the top. While I hope to be wrong, I think we’ll see a less aggressive dive out of that hill. Second, I actually believe the reverse treble will have more airtime than the video shows. This recreation has a slight movement going up the reverse treble instead of being straight which will dampen the airtime a bit. Looking at Fury’s, you can see that the track is straight from the top of the treble to the bottom, only rotating slightly around the heart line of the coaster for the banking. This should give airtime from when you start rotating to a little bit down the treble. You may find it odd but B&M tends to use zero G transitions on their gigas. Fury’s banked turns have airtime because they go from constant positive Gs to zero g transitions, as seen also at the top of the treble. This will extend the airtime on the treble slightly before the positive G section on the spiral down. In addition, this same shaping should also give airtime on the first overbank (specifically on the entrance and exit) and the end hive dive element. Lastly, I believe the coaster will actually pull 5 Gs rather than 4.25. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe B&M hypers are designed to pull 5 Gs in the pullouts of their coasters. If this is the case, I think the reason this recreation pulls 4.25 Gs is just a small shaping error. I could be wrong about this tho, I just partially remember hearing this about B&M hyper models. Again, this was a very good recreation. B&M shaping is very unique and very challenging to make. (I would know, I’m terrible at it!) I just can’t wait to ride this coaster and see how the elements feel! The pictures from the recreation are fromDustinTheNow and AmusementInsiders video. The picture of Fury’s camelback is from google, and the picture of the treble clef is one I took. Edit: I would just like to add that some of this discussion may be incorrect due to the camera for the POV being the rider cam, which dampers turning and such. I could only be for sure if it was a static, rail-level POV Edit 2: I was told hypers are actually built to pull 4Gs, not 5, so 4.25 is an accurate max positive G force prediction Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

What on print makes most believe this will be a reverse treble clef? To me, it just looks like the standard turn around that Leviathan has.2 points

What FOF96 was trying to explain to you is that B&M is a design firm and not a fabricator, they contract out the fabrication to Clermont Steel Fabricators.2 points

This part looks AMAZING. Can't believe more people aren't talking about it! I cannot wait to ride this. Watching Leviathan's POV, I think this will be a better ride. Compared to Fury, not so much. It also seems to have the same ride time from drop to break run as Levi, and 5-8 seconds shorter than Fury. I am excited!2 points

After riding Fury a few time today, I think our taller elements will make our ride a lot more extreme, I feel like that is what fury is missing, being low most of the ride Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

The video looks very interesting, thanks for doing that! It looks like a pretty fun ride. It will be interesting to experience the first banked turn. It looks like there's about 2 seconds of sideways air time there which should be thrilling from that height (I think I saw that it crested at 180 feet?) and speed. The turn around is also going to be interesting to see how it feels, and the section right after the turn around looks fantastic. Also how will the airtime of the final camelback transition into the positive G's of the helix? Post helix looks pretty tame. Love that it's going to be in amongst the trees rather than out in the open. I'm still wondering if there will be another small surprise added in that we haven't seen from the plans. I think this will be everyone's favorite ride in the park for a long time.2 points

What is this new fad of using portable speakers in the park. We were in the kids area of the park and someone was standing there with a portable speaker blasting some not so nice music next to us. The park should ban these.2 points
