  1. WGT's 11th update. Some good stuff in here! Big news! As he noted on his site, there are now some coordinate markers for the final turn (before the brake run) as well as part of the helix (best I can tell from his images). Note the proximity of these markers to the existing concrete path. This leads me to believe there's now more blueprints available that give more X/Y coordinates for these markers and possibly more. Hopefully someone can check on more blueprints! This is the first time I've seen work being done that is beyond the existing released blueprints. Also the T-shaped footing at the end of the brake run looks like it has been poured or will be poured soon (the tarp over it is either helping it cure overnight or is keeping the area relatively dry prior to pouring concrete). http://www.wildgravitytravels.com/kings-island-2020-update-11-work-site-and-track-update/

  2. Usually announcements are held on Thursdays, but things can change.

  3. Most likely. Banshee was 24M, I believe. This one will probably be 26M-30M.

  4. We got to go back there on one of The Beast tours I went on, while Beast was running. Apparently the helix isn’t a lock-out area. I’ve also seen maintenance down there before. The last time I did (from the ride), earlier this year, I waved and one saw me and waved back

  5. Banshee was $24M. Leviathan was $28M in 2012, and Project X will almost certainly be that much or more. EDIT: Beat to the punch, lol.

  7. Roposting here from the construction thread since this thread gets more eyes and potentially more people to check on new blueprints. The WGT video was posted earlier but not the site, which has some more interesting pics in it. WGT's 11th update. Some good stuff in here! Big news! 8. I originally thought the name Orion was the better of the two names, but now I think Polaris is starting to grow on me. I still think Orion is more likely, but Polaris is definitely now my favorite.

  10. I do think a B&M Hyper would be a fine addition to the park considering B&M hypers are probably the biggest crowd pleasers ever created.... personally a hyper would be what I’m rooting for but as many like to point out Apollo’s chariot is in the same state so who knows.

  12. Today while going into the park my daughter noticed that the name on her pass had changed to Bruce Wayne. Her pass on my phone had not changed. And after she entered the park it remained that way for a while. We asked the ticket scanner kid if he knew anything about any upcoming promotions and showed him, but he just laughed and said the app must have some kind of glitch. Anyone have any ideas how this happened ? Here is the pic:

  13. This might relate more to year-round parks such as Universal and Disney, but I believe that teasing a big attraction too early can sometimes hurt the park. Especially with Grand Carnivale happening, and still more of the summer to go, KI wouldn't want to deter guests from visiting now and instead coming next summer. It needs to be timed right to ensure enough people are still pumped about KI this summer, but are also excited about next.

  14. I believe because they were focused on the 2019 additions and they didn't want teasing to overshine Grand Carnivale.

  15. I bet you teasers are tomorrow because it’s the last day of grand carnivale and there is most likely going to be a lot of people there to see the last show, if not Monday

  16. Hi Everyone, I'll be at KI Later today 7/6/2019 I Have Noticed that yet again as of 9:05am KI only has 2 trains out on Diamondback like they ran it a couple weeks ago is there another problem ?

  17. I feel confident that it will be at night. My theory is that in order to do the video they have to have darkness for a projector. Antique cars wasn't a huge announcement so they were able to do it during the day because they were indoors. This will be a huge announcement with lots of people there so will have to be outside, most likely at the site. I predict the video will be on a projector screen hung on the side of the FOF building with the announcement around 10pm on a Saturday, probably August 10th

  18. As of last night when they put it to bed all 3 trains were running with no issues.

  20. Kings Dominion is missing a mat racer slide. It's the only slide complex I can think of Cedar Fair adding in recent memory other than the drop slides which KD already has. http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/ has a theory that they'll eventually move all of the waterpark to the other side of Racer 75. That makes sense to me as the 2 slide towers left on the other side are originals. Interestingly, KI has the same slides which are also originals. However, I hope they can move the Proslide tube ride or replace it with the modern version https://www.proslide.com/rides/pipeline/. It's a great starter water slide for kids and still lots of fun. The old body slides can go. Water coasters don't seem to be Cedar Fair's thing. I think this is a sign that Volcano's removal truly was a last minute decision as they clearly had other 2020 plans on the books. There's no way the wave pool site would be combined with the Volcano site. However, the old waterpark site could be. Is it conceivable that Cedar Fair would add a B&M Hyper in the same park as I305? It could go right over top of Backlot like Behemoth does. Edit: To further this thought, they could move the park entrance of the waterpark to between Apple Zapple and Twisted Timbers. Add a parking lot behind TT and you're all set. I'm sure the long walk from the parking lot to the waterpark is a huge deterrent for people. It would be for me. Trips to the waterpark with kids requires a lot of stuff.

  21. Skyflyer starts at $5 in the morning on weekdays usually raises to $10 around noon if it starts to get busy. On the weekends it will start at $10 and raise accordingly. Slingshot used to start as low as $5 but they do not offer that deal anymore and they went as far as throwing away the sign. On weekdays it will start at $10 in the morning and usually raises to $15 around noon if it starts to get busy. On the weekends it will start at $15 and raise accordingly. gold and platinum pass members recieve a 10% discount on there tickets. My recommendation is to buy tickets in the morning if you plan on riding. The tickets are good for one time use anytime the day of purchase so buy before the price increases. If you don’t know if ur child/family member/ friend wants to ride then go ahead and buy the ticket and if they decide they don’t want to ride Kings Island always offers refunds as long as you have your ticket.

  22. Yeah, price is HEAVILY fluctuated by daily demand on these two. If nobody is in line and a slow day for the park you are in luck.

  23. I thought it was only 10 % off with gold or Platinum? Also I've seen both as cheap as $5 usually first thing in the morning. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  24. Yeah I'm starting to think that too since there is only two days left lol Now I'm wondering if it will be Monday, the day after GC ends, or next Friday or even later ... or maybe none at all. At least it is finally July so stuff should get interesting real soon. I'm mostly looking forward to having the theme and name confirmed/announced.
