In honor of the upcoming announcement very likely for sometime next month, here is the announcement video for our last coaster Mystic Timbers! I wonder how the announcement video for this will compare to Mystics announcement video!5 points

It has occurred to me that Project X, as what was on the blue prints, closely resembles Hyperion at Energylandia (if I were to compare it to any other coaster) to a certain degree. If so this is going to be a phenomenal ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

I am the first one to admit that fireworks have lost all their specialness*...but it’s still sad to see that kids would rather look at their phone than fireworks right by them. *And ironically I blame amusement parks for this. It used to be something special to look forward too that you could only see once a year for the 4th Of July, now we can see them so often they have become mundane. (Even though the fireworks themselves seem to keep evolving into nicer and nicer creations.) Personally I wish the parks would only do them one night a week at the most.5 points

The abnormal ECG has Q waves that indicates a past heart attack. The owner of that ECG should avoid all rides and eating at the park.4 points

^Agreed. I think they should do something similar to SoB crumbling and have Firehawk burn itself up like a Phoenix and have the new coaster build up from it’s ashes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

I was looking through the Notice of Commencement for this project, and Kingdom Productions is listed. Kingdom Productions was also listed on Mystic Timbers’ Notice of Commencement, and I think they either made the announcement video or the videos in the queue/shed. This means that we will probably get a ride announcement video made by them or some other type of theming videos. Holovis, who did the theming for Mystic Timbers may have made the queue/she’d videos, though, so I am betting that Kingdom Productions is behind the announcement videos. If anyone has more information on this matter, feel free to share!4 points

Prior to the 2019 season, I was thinking Supernova would be a good name for a sci-fi themed giga coaster.4 points

For some reason people are like “it’s jerky, therefore it’s bad/breaking down/at the end of its life”. No, it’s a runaway mine coaster, it is meant to feel wild and out of control, and like you might get chucked out. It isn’t and was never meant to be a smoothly transitioning glide through the woods. So other than the effects, which are showing their age (some years more than others), the ride is giving the intended experience, feeling just like it has been since it was installed.4 points

They did a great job on this video and I hope they do one for a back story on Project X... Not sure how likely that is though3 points

^^ The only problem with the name Apocalypse is that Six Flags still has that name trademarked. https://trademark.trademarkia.com/apocalypse-85978789.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Here is my Theory... Project X! X roman numeral for 10! There are 9 Posters up, the 10th (X) will be the new ride. There are large Letters on the each poster. T E O T W A W K I after thinking and researching so much space and science related things bc of the testing info on each sign lol, I figured it stands for, The End Of The World As We Know It once I figured that out, I started thinking about X or10. a 10 letter word related to T E O T W A W K I and that would be APOCALYPSE. so my guess would be the new ride could be APOCALYPSE. I've been checking in everyday to see the new posters thanks you all who have been posting the new teasers. Even though I caught on late to the postings. Its fun! I'm trying to come up with a plan B lol. Thanks again for everyone who released the images for us!3 points

To those who are claiming AE to be "towards the end of its service life" - some food for thought... Runaway Mine Train (SFOT), Dahlonega Mine Train, and Cedar Creek Mine Ride, the first three mine trains built, are still operating at 53, 52, and 50 years old respectively. Adventure Express is 28.3 points

I wouldn't speculate that based off of this tweet. They always do a "on this date" tweet for popular ride announcements and such.3 points

Agree. However, this also a by-product of parents letting their kids have access to phones and electronic devices all the time. Our kids have video games and tablets, but they aren’t allowed to stare at them all day. We still expect them to go outside and play. I hate amusement park fireworks. Minus Disney and those who spend lots of time and money to make them good, the end of night shows are just lame. I’ll gladly take the community event fireworks shows as they are usually set to music and change every year.3 points

This is a good pic, lol. In the summer of July 2019, kids sit under the teasers trying to decode it while their older sister who sits to their left already has said- "Nope, I ain't gettin on it".3 points

Just because a ride is old doesn't mean the park should get rid of it.3 points

I just hope it is something at least a little different. I love Fury, but I want us to have something more unique. Kings Island deserves something record breaking from this coaster.2 points

Little late, but Kings Island does track the exact number of cycles and riders for all its rides. Every hour, every day. Over 45+ years there'll obviously be some error, but I assume the numbers listed are the official counts.2 points

I'd be on the lookout for more tape-overs. I also wonder what the chances are of another decoder message starting on Monday.2 points

20: AZ Invertigo 11: AZ Firehawk 23: NV Flight of Fear 9:900/HR:>75 Bayern Kurve 32: NM Vortex 11: KS Zodiac 10: OK Rotor 24: ID Shooting Star 11: SD Skylab These are all the areas that have stickers over them. If someone is at the park, can you verify that these are all the same?2 points

The electrical engineer isn’t manufacturing roller coaster pieces, they are working with their best knowledge and belief of the layout. They have no responsibility of the layout as it is created ‘by others’ and is simply shown for reference to aid in installation of their scope of work. Unless we have CSFs shop drawings or a drawing by B&M we can’t be positive of the layout.2 points

So, just to confirm with everyone. There is only enough room for one more sign on the fence?2 points

Very creative way with this teaser. I think i may have came up w my personal guess on a name for this new coaster. Ive worked hard to try to crack this code! I can not wait to see it all come together!!! So exciting!!2 points

I saw somebody talk on here that they are starting on the Soak City side at least so that's a start at least. There was one next to my parking spot that looked like a sink hole today.2 points

Not true. Every print must be stamped by the engineer that made or reviewed the drawing. The only exceptions are for preliminary or draft drawings. All final drawings, or prints issued for construction must have the responsible engineers seal, signature and date.2 points

I've been saying the same thing but instead I'd like a repaved parking lot that doesnt look and feel like it got hit by a meteor shower...lol2 points

Instead of a new giga, can we just get some ice, please? Running out of ice at 4pm on a Saturday is inexcusable.2 points

So, just catching up and a few things: #1: LEONARD BERNSTEIN! #2: I like the name Paul; the Paul’s I’ve met are pretty cool #3: To the person who talked about the ‘60s space theme... Also, anyone notice the old style TV photo op during Winterfest (and to an extent, Tinsel Town in general)? #4: Shooting Star is definitely an interesting choice as it wasn’t even at the park, though it could be reference to CONEY Island, which was the original name of the Coney Mall area (IIRC). So far, the posters depicting non-coasters have been connected to Coney Mall in some type of way (with the exception of Bayern Curve). Speaking of Bayern Curve, what if we could be getting a new flat (well, a restored one) along with the giga? Just something to think about...2 points

It has a dual purpose. The Kings Island News forum is what updates the home page of the site. So, that thread was to update the homepage and I thought it would serve a good place to put all the teasers in one location to reference easily like Six mentioned here.1 point
