@malem and I have asked very nicely and multiple times in the last few days to stay on topic, to be respectful, and for the language to be family friendly. At this point we continue to see this being ignored. We will be cleaning up this thread to the topic at hand. Anyone who continues to not follow these simple rules will be getting a warning and possible loss of posting privileges. We have hesitated on taking this harsh of a stand. Guys, we are in the middle of making history at Kings Island with what appears to be the biggest investment ever. KI may not get another investment like this for decades. Are you going to remember and celebrate it with your KIC family, or are you you going to possibly miss out because you did not agree with someone's post?

And here we are! Just 2 days before the big announcement! It’s been a long journey since we’ve seen the first leaks back in May. And it’s been an honor to be a part of this. To actually bring the blueprints into a software and layout the entire coaster is truely next leve stuff! Here’s some epic images from my final prediction of what this coaster will look like. More prep work for the announcement

Well I follow Andrew Setters on Twitter. Check out this recent tweet from him. Interesting. I thought the coaster was going to be shorter in length than Diamondback.

I've been lurking around this thread since nearly the beginning, and with the announcement just a few days away, I decided it was finally time to make an account and join in! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it to KI this year, but I did have the opportunity to go to Carowinds for the first time. Fury 325 is an amazing ride, and I can't wait to have a giga at my favorite park!

I'm at the park and got the chance to talk to Don Helbig a little bit. He told me that the platforms that are blocked off will be where the media will be. He also recommends we get here early.

I don’t think we will be just getting a Giga. I think it will be a whole plaza overhaul which includes restrooms and maybe even a restaurant. The reasons are as follows... 1. Last year, Carowinds did a whole area makeover adding a restaurant and flying eagles and retheme to Blue Ridge Junction on top of their pricey new Mack coaster. 2. KI has been prepping the entire Coney Mall area for additional attendance the past two years. They’ve added Coney BBQ, King Mills Antiques, and a new Racer lighting package. 3. I don’t think they would build all of coney mall up and not do anything with the infrastructure IN Xbase with this huge new investment. 3. The recent CF 2nd quarter earnings conference mentioned they were spending similar capital for 2020 as compared to last year. Last year they spent $130 million and built 2 pricey coasters. This is the only coaster known expected this year for CF and expected to cost roughly $30 million. That leaves a lot of extra capital for themeing and plaza improvements. 4. They’ve built a giant new barn back in the woods. They may have even built two by now (Our spy plane could sort this out cough cough@sixohdieselrage ). This could replace the current plush barn and maintenance building. This would open the whole area for a plaza. 6. None of this would be shown on the Project X blueprint as they are separate projects. We never saw blueprints for the new barn in the woods for the same reason. 7. Everyone calm the F down and get along. Let’s decode, try to stay on topic, have fun and stop being A holes. This is directed to the board in whole. Let’s speculate and not berate. K I’m done. The tone on this thread has been horrible for a while, but it's especially atrocious this week. In addition to the speculation about the physical make up of this coaster coming to a head with an eminent announcement, there is a full moon this week. It is well documented that the lunar cycle can affect the mental well being and actions of people, that's why mental health institutions were originally called lunatic asylums. I also can see anecdotal evidence of this at the hospital I work at, and I have experience in behavioral health. Hey guys went to the park last night and got one last final update before the big announcement here is the video, hope you guys enjoy! I tried to zoom in real good.

The entrance plaza blueprints have already been submitted though. This page has been labeled “Entry Plaza Concept.” Really, the only major things they are doing are: The giga, queue, and station Ride photo building at Flight of Fear lockers Firehawk’s queue tied to Flight of Fear Removal of that little food stand. The plush barn and maintenance buildings are staying. The path will be the same size, unfortunately.

So after thinking for the last 3 days that we didn't get any photos from the tower of the construction site as I thought the battery went dead on the camera, I went down the tower before my wife could tell me she brought an extra battery, and just telling me tonight she got photos, I'm going to post what she shot on Saturday. Wasn't much going on, but on some she could get pretty close... Also adding DB splashdown from the tower lol

Interesting times, guys and gals! It's cool that they are doing a very involved setup for this announcement. Reading one of the posts, I was reminded of when I waited for the news of Banshee to come online at 10 PM (as that's when the announcement was and IIRC, I thought at the time that the webpage would be live as soon as the announcement started)… and the Panera WiFi cut out... so I had to find out at home... Also, thanks @Magenta Lizard for your work in helping us with the lockbox and lock. Finally, I wouldn it be crazy if the guy who did play Mr. Christopher in the FOF videos show up to reprise his role at the announcement?

It could be that the fence is just there to protect their equipment. Things might change between now and then. Its incredible what the park can do for a temporary announcement setup now that they have all this “stuff” from Winterfest and Carnivale. It’s a great time to be a KI fan.

Am I they only one hoping the missing 16 pages from the binder shows up in the queue?

Ok, I think we can stop going off on me for sending stuff repeatedly to John Matarese and putting it on here. I learned my lesson and I'm calming down on that. No need to argue. This is a nice community.

^^^ That's what I and some others have been saying repeatedly.. The blueprints are NOT facts. Things change, get updated or revealed.

So I had a dream last night that the announcement was held in an airport gate area and the coaster was 296 feet tall with a 50 foot drop not making it a giga. Let me say that most of us were mad lol.

I’m a bit surprised to see them put all that stuff in there as it was going to be tight anyhow. I saw someone on Facebook who I know works for the park talk about possibily opening up the areas along The Racer(like on the behind the scenes tours) to fit everyone in. Just looking at the pictures I don’t know how that will work either. We will be there in a bit and maybe it will make more sense seeing where they are at currently.

So it's most likely we'll have the lift hill as part of our skyline by winterfest this season.

Giga coaster turns out to have 2 more feet of steel than Diamondback

No one guessed it, but it got leaked the day of or before the announcement. He's been told a few times that obsessively sending stuff to a news anchor is creepy and a bad reflection on this community. Sending him stuff from another news station is even worse. At some point you have to stop being polite and start getting real. That's more likely to be a random person's post than someone from KI. Theres no O in the first column.

Weird, I just saw a couple employees of Clark Reder come out of the gates near the lockers, and one took a photo of the support of the FoF overhang support flange. Probably because of the planned queue reroute? and if anyone wants to suggest lock codes for me to try, here’s the letters

There are a lot more people who read KIC than who actively post on any given day. For people trying to catch up on a day of decoding, reading pages of people arguing is not fun. No one wants to kill the fun, but let's try to stay on-topic as much as possible in this thread. Other threads exist to discuss other topics, including the random discussion thread for posts that don't fit into any topic. The arguing and disrespect has really gotten out of hand here. Everyone's help in keeping the conversation civil is appreciated.
