Before the announcement, I would like to thank everyone for allowing us to be where we are right now. If it weren’t for the work of all of you, this thread would not have been so successful. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and I am glad I got to experience it firsthand. I would like to thank some people individually: @sixohdieselrage, thank you so much for those aerial photos. They really helped us get a better idea of the scale of this coaster. @RuthlessAirtime and @DustinTheNow, thanks for those awesome concept videos you created. They really were amazing! @collin.klopfstein, thank you for all of the track updates. You were the one to first see the blue track and tell us about it. @Fye Coasters and @Magenta Lizard, thank you so much for those awesome construction and teaser updates. We all enjoyed seeing those. @BSBMX and @fryoj, thanks for the blueprint decoding and answers to questions we had. Those were super helpful. @Bansheeback, thank you for getting us those blueprints. Those were crucial to the decoding. @Hawaiian Coasters 325 and @Maverick44, thank you for those awesome giga concepts you used to make. They were really cool, and I enjoyed them! Thanks to all of those who I may have forgotten to mention who played a big role in the decoding of the project. Your help was also greatly appreciated! While I certainly thank these people for all they have done, I would also like to thank each and every one of you who I didn’t mention for being here and contributing to the decoding. I really enjoyed all of it.

So after a year and a half of @Hawaiian Coasters 325 and I making silly layouts. its finally time to get what we have wanted for all these years. I am just so happy that we have this page to discuss what we love. Roller Coaster and Kings Island. I really look forward to what's next after Kiga. Maybe we will start to make layouts for the next rumored coaster. This has been an amazing experience and even with the highs and lows. People arguing and people getting on me about my undying love for Intamin lol I just want to say thank you and I really hope sometime next season we can all meet up and ride this giga coaster! This is for you fellow KIC members! Enjoy tonight!

^This. A special day like this it really makes me grateful for what we've gotten in a relatively short window of time. In my youth (old man alert), we had the Cobra, The Beast, The Vortex and the The Racer. That was it. The park then endured 2 decades of limited additions before we got DB 10 years ago. Over the past decade we've seen three heady coasters go up and tonight we'll officially be getting a 4th. Not many in the nation can just roll up to a park of this caliber for some after work rides like we do.

Notice how the drop is what’s being marketed already, not the height. Just more credence to the 285’/301’ theory. A bigger drop is more important than height as far as ride experience is concerned anyway.

Orion looks wonderful. There are more air time hills than Fury but not as many lateral elements. It is much shorter and compact than Fury. The length is closer to Leviathan. I will be there to ride this first day if possible. Thank you, Kings Island for making this happen. I was waiting for this since Canada's Wonderland got Leviathan in 2012. Unfortunately, we no longer live in Cincinnati area.....

Guys, I just wanna say how proud i am of us after 4 months, and 415 pages of decoding. So guys, we did it. Even if I didnt have much to say, I am also happy to call this my first completed thread.

Just bumped into Chad with a Fox19 Camera crew. The excitement is palpable. He seemed a Lil nervous...but a good kind of nervous. Like a I can't wait to tell you kind of nervous Edit: sorry for the 3 handshakes Chad. I am just as excited as you apparently.

That should be 1 of 2 cranes on this project. This one will more likely be used to assemble a larger "truss boom" crawler crane, then once construction starts both cranes will be used.

I think it would be nice for the lights to be blue and white. =)

From the FOX19 article: "The first announcement included pictures of the former roller coasters here at the park such as the Zodiac, Firehawk, Invertigo, and Sky Lab. So some were guessing possibly a new coaster." Only one of those is a former roller coaster.

We will be at the park Thursday to cover the announcement. We will not be live streaming since the park will be doing that on the KIBlog. Wow the excitement is really palpable, even from afar! I wish I could be there in person with everyone, but sadly adulting calls But I am super excited to watch the live stream tonight! Can't wait to finally see the reveal! You might say I'm feeling pretty psyched!

Looks like Fury 325 had 3 cranes.

That's pretty big but I think the two they have there now are the small ones. I can't wait to see the massive cranes they use for topping of the lift hill / drop

The park itself is streaming the announcement, and I know Don is setting up to record for it in a primo location. Theirs will most likely be the best.

Whatever B&M shipped to Kings Island was unloaded from the container this morning.
