  3. Drove by the other say since I was over there and saw a police officer sitting in the parking lot for the office building. I think they're trying to track down @collin.klopfstein. (In reality, he was looking for speeders.)

  6. This should solve the whole Area 72 bathrooms: the government didn't acknowledge Area 51 existed for how long? For all we know there are bathrooms already and KI just doesn't tell us

  7. To simulate this unique experience, find a metal garbage can, invert it and place it over your upper body... Then invite the local little league team to beat on the outside of the can like a piñata... To further add depth to the experience, stand in a line for 45 minutes before you do it...

  8. Anything could happen in a week, but i'm guessing there will be a couple more pieces of track, and maybe some supports. Edit: Thanks for the update Collin! Now i'm guessing we will have a decent amount of new track.

  14. The park provides free lockers the price on something else goes up or we lose expansion dollars. You don’t have to bring a ton of stuff into the park. When Im not on call for work the only thing I bring in is my Apple Watch.

  15. Given it will be closer and taller than Diamondback to all the homes being built to the north, I would be surprised if sand is not added...
    2 points
  16. Not sure if it'd work well. Going up to 275 ft it would take away from the height perception of Orion though. WindSeeker would already pull a bit of the height perception from angles.

  18. Yes, by the Junkyard coaster. But it is not coherent with the design of the other leaves of the clover. I've considered that area of the park no man's land because it could be either Rivertown, International Street or the area formerly known as Coney Mall. If you want to get very technical, the only restroom in Rivertown is inside the Brewhouse because the freestanding restroom near Diamondback seems to be a part of Planet Snoopy.

  19. They don't provide free lockers because then they can't charge you for lockers. I firmly believe that the no-phones policy is designed with safety in mind. I also firmly believe that Cedar Fair realizes there is money to be made off of that policy and considers it a nice bonus, and until they provide free lockers for rides without bins, I won't be convinced otherwise.

  20. I don’t understand this because I was at CP in late June and another time in early July. The max time I waited for SteVe was 50 seconds per train. I don’t feel like that is terrible. The ride ops would basically ask you if you put items in the bag or not and then checked the restraints.

  21. I still think Slingshot would be a good fit for the area

  22. You do have a point. Kings Island has gotten 3 B&M's in 10 years. And I wouldn't be surprised if Kings Island didn't get a B&M for a while. But consider the possibilities of what taking a break from B&M could bring. New flat rides, a new woodie or two, refurbished Racer and Vortex, other odd and inns, new flat rides, etc. As we all know, for Kings Island the sky is the limit. So a break from B&M wouldn't be such a bad thing. Kings Island doesn't have to add a record breaking ride every few years. In my opinion, the park needs to increase and add a few flat rides. So they could use this "break" as an opportunity. Also, Kings Island could use this time to build the most anticipated attraction since Orion: Area 72 Bathrooms: The Ride

  23. Last year i was waiting in line, and saw an iPhone X fall and smash ground right in front of me, I was in the middle tunnel area waiting. was like 3 feet away behind the fence. I believe it. But it’s to blame people not securing their phones in pockets better or trying to hold onto it just like people wearing glasses onto rides and complaining after when they fell off

  26. Also, the employees are greatly outnumbered by the general public, especially at an amusement park. The more people with the "it's their job" mentality, the worse it is for them, and often it seems like the people who are the most demanding about the cleanliness of an establishment are the ones who are making it messy. A lot of people go on and on about respect these days, but how many of them actually show it?

  27. I'll make a deal. You all get your Area 72 restrooms and I get Rivertown restrooms. Preferably in the vicinity of Potato Works. Or when they renovate The Crypt, put them in there. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

  28. Get your negativity out of here! Two restrooms are in Action Zone, two in Coney Mall (opposite ends). My point is, every area has their restrooms. And since they are renaming XBase to Area 72, along with a new ride, why not add them? Also, what is your source of the claim "It's not going to happen"?

  36. Actually phones falling out of back pockets was a big problem last year on Twisted Timbers at KD and helped lead to all the different restrictions. I don’t know why CP didn’t just provide free lockers for SV and keep the no phones policy or something else that doesn’t slow things down. Hopefully they will revisit the procedures in the off season.

  37. So I rode my 60th coaster yesterday, Kentucky Flyer, and I ranked them. I count dueling or racing coasters that have two different tracks as two coasters. I also consider Surf Dog a coaster because it does use gravity along with the motor. #53 was at a traveling carnival that was in the parking lot of River Falls Mall in Clarksville, IN in the late 90's. If anyone remembers it or has pictures, please post them because I can't find anything using google. Hopefully it isn't a figment of my imagination ! KI = Kings Island, KK = Kentucky Kingdom 60. 38. I agree. These are really personal tastes after all. I did not think Steel Vengeance as anything really special. As I ride more, this may change. In fact, many coasters do. Maverick has been climbing. There are very few coasters that take my breath away when I first ride them. The last one was Lightning Rod. Before that, it was Fury 325.

  39. @Maverick44 Just turn off your screen, close your eyes, and imagine that amazing B&M towering over Area 72 and Racer. Then, be happy we get something reliable.

  40. In the parking lot, they have the street sweeper that drives around at the end of the night so at least it doesn’t have to be a person walking to deal with people’s abandoned food bags and dirty diapers. That is one job at the park that looks fun and I wouldn’t mind trying sometime Just drive around with approximately the flight path of a bumblebee, and not have to directly deal with people much.

  42. I think the previous reward program FUNperks was better than this one in terms of rewards, but it was based solely on how much you spent in the park and not visits alone. This current version is basically what was available in the app for those that used it while in the park - at least those you actually got if you opened the app while in the park. This current one has provided rewards to people that haven't visited the park and provided nothing to those over 40 visits, offering deals on meals to those with meal plans, etc. As someone pointed out above, better to have no reward program than this one that just comes off cheap. I guess if they keep Beta testing, eventually something good will come out of it.

  43. The park advertises “Pass Perks” as a season pass benefit. I too just got the $4 Carmel Corn and find that insulting, especially since the park is no longer open weekdays. Whomever the park hired to be in charge of this “perk” program just re-invented the previous reward program without any research, thinking, or special programming in the system. The program could be really great, but in it’s current very sad state could not agree more to get rid of it.

  44. ONE thing. THE only thing six flags does better is the rewards program. Cedar Fair Struggling, I spend minimum $500 dollars on the chain a year. Thanks for the $1.50 off of my 5 dollar cotton candy. Kinda irks me and when they didnt have these perks I didnt even think about it. Id rather have none then what they are giving us now it seems very cheap. But then again.... maybe the GP loves it idk

  45. There was a time where I was on The Racer, I believe it was probably 2 seasons ago, where a group of kids towards the front had ripped up a stack of park maps, and sat them in their laps on the lift hill, so that as the coaster started going, there was confetti going everywhere. Other peoples' kids annoy me. Visit before last, there was a kid in the row in front of my 4 year old son and me on Woodstock Express that stood up on the lift hill. He was probably 9 or 10, so certainly old enough to know better. His dad and younger brother were in the row in front of him. I snapped at him "Do you want to die, because that's how you die". Then when we got off the ride, the driver snapped at him too. More other peoples' kids.... ugh.
