I feel like they’re getting close to a deadline, and weather this weekend is likely gonna hinder that. If you look back, both Banshee and Diamondback (Not sure about Mystic Timbers) were done with track erection the last week of January. They may be trying to get this thing complete in the next 10 days or so.5 points

I'm guessing that teacher doesn't know that there are multiple coasters that go over 90 and over 100 mph.3 points

I think the Skyline on international street being replaced with something like this would be nice.2 points

I'm glad someone else is thinking the same thing as I am. For some reason I don't think we've seen the end of Vortex. I bought up the subject on KIC, the possibility that RMC could do a makeover on the Coaster, making Vortex the 1st. Ever all steel Coaster to receive such a makeover. A person who read a post from me said that's absurd. RMC wouldn't mess with an Arrow Dynamics Coaster. I came back with, no one would have thought RMC would do makeovers on Dinn Coasters or an NAD Coaster ( Colossus, SFMM ). With all the magic RMC has done with wooden Coasters, anything is possible.2 points

To look at the layout and stats and to remember that my friend's teacher said that it is impossible to go ninety miles per hour on a coaster because, scientifically, it will rip your face off2 points

There is an all season plastic cup with free refills, an all season paper cup option, and an all-season plastic cup option that is much cheaper initially, but refills are $1 after the day of purchase.2 points

I'm going to go with about a 1/4 of the history of any other date.....2 points

Most any date does. Though February 29th has significantly less history to it.2 points

That airtime hill is huge! They're making a lot of progress on this thing!2 points

Orion and Vortex will share the same opening/anniversary date! April 11 will also be Vortex’s 33rd anniversary.2 points

The anticipation of the new season starts kicking in when Kings Island publishes their operating calendar for the year, and that time has come again! Kings Island's Opening Day for 2020 will be April 11th. With the opening of Orion, Kings Island's newest roller coaster, this season this is sure to be historic and one to not be missed. Besides Orion, what are you looking forward to the most ant Kings Island for the 2020 season? I think the changes and upgrades to Area 72 is what I am looking forward to the most this year besides riding Orion. I wish Skyline at the park would bring back foot long coneys.1 point

I saw that on the cam too, it’s surprising to see the current pacing of construction. That next support should be to the left of the one on my image.1 point

Looks like the station is getting some kind if wrap on the roof that’s the same color as the track. Initially i thought it was paint.1 point

I wonder if they'll bring that guy back from the MT preview day who used the microphone and gave direct instructions on the loud speaker. "If you are headed to MT go to the left side of international street, if you aren't go on the right side of IS."1 point
-
Ok I want to clarify something here. I made a mistake. I tend to get my directions mixed up. He did in fact say Mystic Timbers riders were on the right side of IS. Others were on the left. I apologise for that.1 point

It's crazy to think that this helix is exactly as tall as Dueling Dragons was.1 point

It's great to see a Cedar Fair park bringing in a restaurant focused on healthier options. Hopefully it's the start of a trend. Which KI food location do you think could use a concept like this? Food at KI is already in a pretty good spot after three consecutive years of new restaurants.1 point

If you wanted to ride Banshee though why would you walk down I-Street at all? You would enter the park and turn to the left right away.1 point

So he was announcing this to everyone as they entered the park? How does sending everyone in the wrong direction help with the chaos?1 point
-
No I believe he was told to do that. That was to help with the chaos of the hype of the new ride. He actually did not say it in that manner.1 point

It’s posted. No more midnight closes Saturday in July? That’s a real bummer, the only one that’s a midnight close is July 4th. Midnight closes for Haunt too. All around pretty bad news. I wonder if this is a noise ordinance thing.1 point

Funny enough, even after all of these years of riding and getting on the biggest baddest of what the human imagination can currently conceive realistically, I find FoF to be one of those rare experiences where no matter how many times I’ve ridden it, I still find myself brimmed with excitement when lining up for it. There is something magical about walking up into that UFO and watching those classic space themed trains take off into the darkness. The sound of the LIMs will be imprinted in my mind for as long as I live. There simply aren’t any other rides I can think of that give me the same feeling of excitement and. FoF is a unique gem for that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

That's actually false. There is one block before Unload that can be used if a train is still at unload.1 point
-
The station/launch is considered one block, which is immediately followed by the first block of the ride (which continues through the midcourse). What you are talking about is not an issue because you can't launch the train until the midcourse brakes are clear.1 point

Here's some FOF trivia for you... KI's and KD's versions were built simultaneously. However they were constructed in 2 different ways. KI first built the building and then constructed the coaster inside - partially utilizing the crane built into the ceiling. KD first assembled the coaster, then built the building around it. KI won - they completed construction first.1 point
