  3. If ODOT was in charge of coaster inspections, there would be pot holes in every ride at KI.

  4. The Drive-thru New Years Eve Party is going to be lit. Now I could really go for a KI Winterfest Mario Kart map. Drifting around ET, a shortcut jumping over DB's Splashdown, weaving back and forth on Coney Mall, a little detour through WWC or RFYLCB. Nintendo needs to make this happen.

  6. If I could make money traveling and visiting amusement parks yes. Florida is a good location for that. Otherwise heck no. I love being in central Ohio and within 8 hours of so many parks.

  7. They cannot give an opening date until the Governor says amusement parks can open. If he says they can open, I am guessing opening between June 26th to July 4th. After that I don't know if it makes since to open. But nobody really knows at this point.

  8. It's hard enough to drive around in the park during the day even after going through training, I shudder at the thought of distracted guests driving through at night with no training. No thanks!

  9. Keep in mind you don’t see PR Departments complaining about the click-bait headlines. Having your business out there in the public consciousness is a good thing.

  10. I’ve flown through Allegiant multiple times and it’s really not that bad. It’s nothing fancy but it gets you places for pretty cheap.

  21. As Shaggy said, Stadium of Stars (sometimes referred to as Stadium of the Stars). It repurposed some of the bleachers the park had purchased for the Evel Knievel motorcycle jump and was used for visiting celebrities. It was added in 1977 and was last used in 1981. Festhaus sits in its spot now.

  24. Not a conspiracy theory person at all... but Georgia mostly reopened 3-4 weeks ago. MANY were saying it was stupid; they'll be the next New York, just wait- it'll be just like Italy. Result- daily infection and death rate have been flat since March 30. Florida reopened... infection rate scaling down- death rates flat. We've been trained to hear that places reopening equals a huge spike in the virus. I think that parks (KI, CF, Six, etc...) need to get open. Lobby the states to push the start of school to Labor day to give 'that much longer" and restore 4 weeks to the summer operations (which, by the way, employ a ton of people). Politically I don't think I agree with five things Bill Maher says. I respect what he says because he's incredibly consistent and doesn't usually flip between popular views- even if I do disagree with it. He is spot on in the video he had on May 1. It doesn't contain "family friendly" language so I won't post the link here- but I agree 100%.

  25. I had some issue with the audio and instead of trying to fix I just deleted the original audio and used royalty free youtube music. Disclaimer: This is edited footage. Once the train drops behind the dorms, that footage is clipped till it gets back to the airtime hill. Due to angles, I wasnt able to squeeze that into the frame and amounts to 10 secs or so of dead space.

  26. Sea World Orlando is not open to the public. The photos and videos of people riding Mako with face masks only riding at the ends of the rows are of employees. It makes sense they would not be seated next to each other, and I think people assuming the middle seats will not be used are reading way too much into this. I am guessing they will just leave at least one empty seat between groups, and will use every row. You have 3 or 4 you get the row, where if you are a group of two there is an empty seat then a single, two singles just get the ends of the row. So worst case two people per a row, should keep capacity of a train at least 50% of normal. I have yet to see any park which has reopened which left rows empty between guests, I have no idea what good the empty rows would be. From what I have read the virus is only active for several minutes in direct sunlight. I wonder if for outdoor coasters it might be just as effective as a wipe down to just cycle the train empty every other cycle. Run it as full as is reasonable, then lock the restraints quickly and cycle it empty, load an empty train when it returns and repeat. But this feels pointless, and providing hand sanitizer before and or after riding is likely more effective. Spreading the disease outdoors is difficult, add reasonable safety precautions like masks, hand sanitizer, frequent hand washing, and cleaning the trains a couple of times a day feels like it would be enough. Obviously really risky activists should not occur, so no parades, no shows, and limited indoor areas of the park. But it does seem like most outdoor activity which do not need direct contact between people including amusement parks should be able to operate safely.
