  1. I had it too!! The meat was so tender that you could just pull it apart with your fork. It was a real pleasure. Plus the chefs are really nice guys. Don’t hesitate to say hi when you’re picking up yours!

  2. We had 4 rides yesterday with fastlane, 2 in row 1 and 2 in row 8. I found the rattle to be much less than I was fearing, a bit at the bottom of the first drop and at the bottom of the pretzel loop, but we loved all 4 rides. It's fantastic in row 1, very intense in row 8. Its among the elite inverts for me with Montu (#1), Afterburn and Raptor. Still haven't ridden Flight Deck or Patriot, however. I doubt Patriot would rank very high but a lot of people speak highly of Flight Deck despite how short it is.

  3. Granted I have not been to the park this year, but in years past, it's always been teal train, other than that I'm not really bothered by it.

  4. I agree! My first ride of the day was blue train, row 3. It was actually REALLY smooth!! Second ride was teal train, row 4. That one rattled me a little bit. Something about row 4 is rough, because that’s the exact spot I was in when I rode it a month ago and it rattled. I was glad to get two rides in a row with practically no wait before crowds picked up yesterday! I ended up being able to ride all 3 of the B&Ms.

  5. I have been working and missed these opportunities, but it is great to see things like this pop up. I am sure these are some of the things Chef Major envisioned when he took the job. Even if you aren't a fan of this and prefer typical park food and not looking for a culinary experience, any time additional food offerings are made available it has to help out the other lines, even if by only a little. Plus this is like a little secret meal that probably hasn't developed a long line yet? What is the guess on meal plan versus pay percentage on this?

  6. No, it doesn't. I'm not on the lookout for things like this when I experience attractions. I'm just trying to enjoy the moment and have fun.

  11. Has anyone else noticed that Drop Tower is no longer rotating on the way up? Does anyone know why it is no longer rotating?

  13. Rode twice today. Obviously, it still has a rattle but it wasn’t nearly as bad as other visits this year. Might have just gotten lucky but darn did I enjoy my rides. Still my fav out of my 3 inverts. Banshee, Afterburn, Raptor

  15. I don’t know. A new patio would be nice, but there is no big restaurant nearby that is a big draw. Jukebox Diner is decent, but it never really gets long lines. Maybe if they give Jukebox Diner the Miami River Brewhouse treatment, it will need more seating, but I don’t know if they will do that.

  16. I wouldn’t say that. I think they are creating a patio. It gets quite congested on the walkway between Vortex and Backlot.

  17. If I had to guess, the park may be planting more trees right there.

  19. They started selling the full year Fast Lane again right after they opened, and single day Fast Lane a couple weeks after. I'm not sure they were ever set on not selling Fast Lane this year. I think they were just waiting to see how crowds would be, and how Fast Lane would work with all the new restrictions. They seem to have determined it would work just fine, in relatively short order. It's a nice source of incremental revenue that costs the park very little.

  20. Haven't we discussed ad nauseam that 5 year plans are kind of a myth?

  21. Hate to break it to you, Chief. This site has been wishing a giga into existence since before Dinosaurs Alive was announced. You can’t take credit for that shared delusion. Every time the park does so much as move a trash can some folks here start raising money for first rider auctions so they can ride a make believe coaster before everyone else. A broken clock is right twice a day! Sheesh. I hate to sound like a Johnny Raincloud, but seriously. We can’t use the “B” word to (fairly) reference the size of a new addition, but this guy is allowed to spam this thread every time someone spray paints concrete?

  22. I might get banned for this but you've given him too much slack. There are people who have been fed up for a while with the blatant misinformation. I argue there are certain people who cry wolf just to get the attention. Look at all the arguments (aside from mine) that have flooded this thread. Meanwhile there is a website, that we're pretty much all familiar with by now, that's racking up the views and hits because their content is still popping up and being shared on this site. I made a logical argument about a shuttle. I provided a solid argument as to why I think it might be a shuttle, showed renderings (albeit basic) to support my argument and gave personal examples. What you don't see me arguing is whether I'm right no not. I could be dead wrong. Now the member (members I should say) are making vague claims with no logical argument. They provide pictures but very little context. Its the same thing we've encountered time and time again- "We just know. Everyone else is wrong. Etc etc." So many threads have gotten derailed. I've tried to be as civil and polite as I can possibly be. I try to hear people out and get their side but its getting old. There's blatant lies and inaccuracies that were never nipped in the bud and now they've blossomed into a vine that has snared the very idea of a decent discussion. People are using this site for their personal gain. I go on this site because the world is in a very dark place and this is the one place I can go to unwind and have fun with people who have similar interests with me. I don't want to see people making false statements just to promote themselves and their website. I can't even hit the ignore button anymore because so many people get triggered, (and rightfully so) that they respond to the offending member so we can still see what's going on. Like I've mentioned earlier this month, the park looks at this site, people on the internet look at this site, news reporters look at this site. If we continue to let all this false information plague our discussions then we're doing a disservice to ourselves and the people who I mentioned above.

  23. I thought of that but two words prevent that: Flight Commander. I think what happened back in the early 90s with Flight Commander would turn the park away from something similar. Kinda like how I think Magic Mountain will never get a S&S 4d freespin.

  25. Wait. You guys go to the park to have fun? I’ve had a season pass since 2004 so I can complain about things on the Internet.

  26. Fattier meats like ribeye tend to taste better the more you cook them because the fat needs ample time to melt. Studies done with blind taste tests show people actually like their steak cooked more than they think they do. Try new things.

  28. Hurler isn't a bad ride and it would be a shame for them to lose their one decent woodie. If I had to bet on the spot for a new coaster/next coaster to be replaced it would be Nighthawk.
