  1. I can confirm it is operating.

  2. The wood planks are still present down by the first drop, and there are big tire tracks. But in terms of Banshee, it was running fine. In fact, on blue train today I probably got one of my smoothest rides ever at the park.

  3. GCI was on the 2020 notice of commencement, furthermore they already did work earlier this year on racer.

  4. That's by the Field of Screams haunt. It could either be related to that attraction, or just staging for offseason trackwork on Racer and/or Beast.

  5. Honest question, how do we know if GCI is scheduled or not this upcoming offseason?

  7. Can anyone confirm that Banshee is running today?

  8. I feel like the Eiffel Tower does the same thing as a Ferris wheel. They both both provide elevated views of a park without the fear of large drops of extreme speed.

  9. I noticed on the Cedar Point Power Tower West camera that the paddlewheel boats are in the water. There are 2 and they have moved since yesterday. I didn't notice them until about a week ago. Wonder if they're trying a soft opening during fall fest? I'll find out as I'll be going the last weekend. Anyone know anything more?

  10. Reminds me of the good old days when I worked in a record store...customers would come in and sing (and usually butcher the lyrics to) a song that they were looking to buy...I’m guessing you’re looking for Billy Joel’s “You May Be Right”!

  11. Because of the outrageous scalping issues they've faced, Disney has now instituted MerchPass on ShopDisney.com. The stores must now adhere to a "lottery" system when exclusives are released at retail. Ticketmaster has done the same with Verified fan and virtual queing. I have a very distinct opinion on this subject, since I've spent the past 25 years in an industry that fights scalping everyday. But, frankly, this board is already waaaaay to full of people's opinions, and virtually Every.Single.Thread becomes a disagreement or argument anymore. I will say, KI did a really good thing. And those of us that got a souvenir are lucky to have one. Most parks would have never given it a second thought. KI knew just how much Vortex meant to its fans... that's why the first track that was removed prior to demolition was the section ultimately used for these keepsakes. I also have heard that there's more to come as far as preservation of a piece of Vortex track. I applaud them for understanding Vortex's place in the park's history, preserving a part of it, and putting a little bit of that history in the hands of those that will cherish it.

  13. I have seen people smoking, showing far too much affection for eachother, and worse- in full view of KI security employees- and they haven't been kicked out. So I don't even know what you do to get kicked out.

  14. Over the course of the last week, it seems new construction materials were dropped off at the park (large crates of lumber). Any thoughts on what this is for?
