  1. I thought the park outdid themselves decorating the carousel!

  2. Well I found the original post on twitter about this since it was not included in your thread. I have no idea how you are saying the lift hill is tilting. It looks like the stairs are bent and the track piece where it stopped was damaged. The total exaggeration and over dramatization is totally not needed.

  3. Winterfest is truly magical. Even though you know you are in a park with most of the things you go to a park to do (rides), which would normally be very sad, the feeling of elation is evident. Sights, sounds, smells (not much sweaty butt smell in December as there is in July! lol), tastes, it just hits all the right spots. I don't know how the original WF was back in the day, but I would dare say CF's version outdoes the Taft/KECO version by far.

  4. The lift hill is not "leaning" or even anywhere near critical damage. One of the brackets holding the stairs is bent, and at worst, one piece of track needs repair.

  5. @IndyGuy4KI why does everyone else have to provide a credible link?

  6. I think we are looking at the word "destination" differently. Dollywood/SDC are "destination parks" because they are just one of the many things to do in the area. Cincinatti has very little to offer for people to come there on vacation. Beautiful skyline, some pro teams, some museums/history, but that's about it. KI is a destination park for many enthusiasts, and it certainly has a draw from the 6 hour driving range, so the RVers will love that. Remember the Brady Bunch episode--when Mike announced he was going to Cincy, there was a visible letdown reaction. I'd imagine that'd be the reaction of many families from more than 6 hours away if dad said we are going to Cincy. The Brady Bunch - Episode 511 - The Cincinnati Kids - Act 1 (Letterbox) - YouTube As far as tent camping: Many people have a romanticized vision of that. But with the level of development in the Mason area, people would be woefully disappointed. They expect this: Brady Bunch Audio Commentary Part 1(A Camping we will Go) - YouTube But they would likely get this: Stealth camping in a tent @ WALMART in wapakoneta ohio - YouTube

  8. One of Enchanted Voyage's few dozen animatronic characters is for sale on Facebook Marketplace, with an asking price of $950. Tagg is four feet tall and about four-and-a-half feet long. His head rocks side to side and his tail wags back and forth. He used to be holding a stick in his mouth with two little characters suspended from it. In the actual ride, he was located across the trough from Gary Gulliver, the largest character in the ride. Per the description, he still works! This is at least the second time that Tagg has been listed for sale... he was on eBay back in fall 2016. If memory serves me right, his asking price there was $650... then $550... then $450... I reached out to that seller on a whim and he was willing to part with the dog for $200... I still regret not buying it then, though I have no idea where I'd store it now Here is the listing on Marketplace: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/180359263800601/ Video of Tagg in action, in the inset video at the 1:12 mark here: https://youtu.be/MV4CWEcvOec?t=70

  10. I actually wish MIA were not a chain park. I feel it could have potential as a decent smaller park a la Kennywood or Knoebels. They'd need owners who'd actually care for the park in that way. Its clear CF isn't going to do that on a regular basis.

  11. Eh, Cedar Fair corporate likes to throw the word "cedar" in various names. The also like to have fun using thematic names from one park at another (e.g. Cedar Creek Flyers at Dorney Park, playing off Cedar Creek Mine Ride at CP). Cedar also makes you think of cedar trees, which makes you think of the woods. You're not actually camping in the woods, but that's the mindset they want to put you in.

  12. Does anyone have a photograph of this new train? Curious what the restraints are like. If it wasn’t for those weird shoulder harnesses, the ride would be pretty good.

  14. Scooby was definitely better than Boo Blasters. Boo Blasters imo just feels like a repurposed Scooby Doo themed attraction. Plus I think adding the fun TV's in the queue of Boo Blasters really killed the feel of the building.

  20. But like...what is the purpose in replacing 3-4 year old trains? Unless Vekoma is giving them for free I highly highly doubt they’d pay to replace already new trains
