  1. Instead of retheming boo blasters into another peanuts dark ride, I say redo it into a new version of Phantom Theater and make it not part of Camp Snoopy.

  2. I have no clue how feasible this is but it would be absolutely awesome of we saw a large scale log flume return to the park.

  3. Paramount made decisions that would best fit their brand and not necessarily the parks and because of this, a lot of the old charm left the park. Great rides like Phantom Theater, the original Antique Cars, the eagles, and Kenton's Cove were all sacrificed for the brand. Again they were a movie company so they saw the parks as ways to promote their brand but it did damage that Cedar Fair had to fix. Unlike movie parks like Universal Studios and Disney, Paramount wasn't necessarily able to start off with a clean slate so they had to work with parks that had their own identity. I wouldn't call it a bad decision on Kings Island's part, but more so on Paramount. Cedar Fair has already brought back smaller versions of the antique cars and the eagles. I wonder if they have any interest in bringing back the old Phantom Theater IP and Kenton's Cove. It would be a huge shock if we ever saw a large scale log flume return to the park.

  4. That is a good idea, hopefully they go back to the traditional animatronics instead of cardboard cutouts.

  5. Interestingly, Space Buggies is the only ride with a space themed name. And the cars could be rethemed with a simple paint job. The names of most of the rides actually fit the camp theme better than the space theme. Joe Cool's Dodgem School still has space ship themed cars as a hold over from Nickelodeon Universe. Those could be rethemed easily as well. Having spent a day in Planet Snoopy this year, the paint jobs and signage are looking pretty worn. My guess is that we'll see a refresh of the entire area in the next few years since we're not really seeing them repainting the rides one by one. It would make sense to add a ride or 2 at the same time but I don't see us getting another roller coaster in that area. My vote would be to retheme Boo Blasters instead of adding a ride though.

  6. ...plus they SHOULD have kept charging since it’s towards a balance, not a subscription and they already said the passes were good in ‘21 too. Every park except maybe the ones in California should open next year, likely even on time. The PR reason they did this was because they were helping out people during the pandemic financially. But since this is a business, not a charity I think it’s clear that they would spend their days dealing with phone calls of people asking for refunds and (perhaps rightfully) contested credit card transactions. All in all, last year was a meh year and even if 21 is a meh year then two meh years for the price of a good year is a decent trade, I suppose.

  7. I definitely think WWC should get a Calico River Rapids/Mystic River Falls upgrade in the future. Definitely should tie it into the Mystic Timbers/Rivertown storyline. Maybe call it "Miami River Rapids"

  8. I recently watched a POV of the refurbished Calico River Rapids ride at Knott's, formerly known as Bigfoot rapids. Throughout the ride guests encounter tons of cool theming and even animatronics. Could theming be added to White Water Canyon or would it be pointless? There is a lot going on with the train, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers going by so animatronics wouldn't make a lot of sense but I think it would be cool to see some theming added throughout stretches of the ride on an off year. I would even be fine if they tied it into the Mystic Timber's story. Thoughts?

  9. Best of both worlds idea: Peanuts in Boo Blasters and Phantom Theater in the old Crypt building.

  10. I've been thinking this for a while now, maybe put some animatronics and maybe even a dark tunnel scene would be cool if it was added to WWC. I think it would be really cool if they made something similar to the Haunted River that used to be at Kings Dominion.

  11. ^The idea looks good on paper but I have a few nitpicks that would require some change. The station elevation- I don't know what's the tallest B&M station it but if its built over SoB's old station it would have to be pretty high The station is right near Banshee's- maybe this is just me but it would be too condensed in that corner. Demolishing Timberwolf- I'm torn on this Its too similar to GateKeeper- a wing coaster running up to the front of the park in Ohio. Multiply that by two and it seems repetitive Full disclosure I'd love something compact like X-Flight but with Thunderbird in the next state, GateKeeper up north and even Wild Eagle to the south it just seems too saturated at this point in time.

  12. Even though this doesn't really have anything to do with the markers, I came up with a wing coaster concept based on @gforce1994 Winged Demon concept. Except I removed both Invertigo and Congo Falls. The station replaces the former Son of Beast station which also gets demolished. I also rerouted The Bat's exit and used the former exit path/SOB queue path as the queue and Fast Lane queue for this new coaster.

  13. I thought I would share this. An old friend from school was going through his stuff and found these. He said he thought I would appreciate these instead of throwing them away. 4 unused Dry Run day tickets for the 25th anniversary season. Now I just need to get them framed for my office. Way cool. 14. I would love theming on WWC. It would add something to the ride. Does anyone know why they no longer spray you in the last tunnel of the ride?

  15. Because of how beautiful International Street is, I don't hate the obstruction of it's view until I officially enter the park. It's always felt like a grand reveal of sorts, same with Wonderland and Dominion. I do wish the brown wall would be renovated and the building repainted/refurbished to look less dated and drab.

  17. Even if King's Island does not open in April the park will not lose out on a lot of money. Prior to this past messed up Covid season the park usually only opens for 2 weekends in April. No Sundays at all and one of those fridays is a 5 hour passholder day. They could even make up for those lost days by adding Haunt weekdays. Early last year the plan was to add back lost operating days later in the year.

  18. I didn't know I305 was Batman-themed or that Behemoth was a looping wooden coaster I seriously have to wonder how hard it would be for these sites to actually proofread this stuff.

  19. I prefer not having to make a reservation, mostly because most days during the season, as long as we have passes, we just go spur the moment. Sent from my LM-X220PM using Tapatalk

  20. I found a few slides from 1972 and had them scanned. Quality is pretty bad (anyone remember Instamatic cameras?), but hey, it's history. Here is the ORIGINAL Fort Mc Hale on the loop where the waterpark now stands. It looks pretty new and I don't see the exploding Gatling Gun, so this was probably around June 1972. I took it from the top of the mountain that we circled before the 1989 track relocation.

  22. Scooby was definitely better than Boo Blasters. Boo Blasters imo just feels like a repurposed Scooby Doo themed attraction. Plus I think adding the fun TV's in the queue of Boo Blasters really killed the feel of the building.

  24. Wow, this is way cool. I'm jealous. I have a thing for anything related to the 1997 season as it was the 25th anniversary season and the year I was born. Once I realized that a few years ago, I went onto eBay and got myself a souvenir 25th anniversary Coke bottle and ornament (pictured below). I actually got really excited for a second when I first glimpsed this post as I thought you were selling them. I was ready to jump on it, but hey, I'm glad they're in safe hands rather than the trash.
