There are more than coaster enthusiasts who follow the blog. Those questions will not be able to be answered until more is known about the pandemic--which changes daily. Therefore, those type of questions, as often as they appear, should be ignored.

I have ridden Orion 18 times over the span of 3 visits throughout the summer. Unfortunately, I was unable to get any night rides but I look forward to it next season. My favorite row is definitely the front, but the back is also extremely good.

With Kings Island’s 50th anniversary coming up in just over a year and the park still having its original front gate and entrance plaza, what would you like to see in an updated front gate and entrance plaza? The park could build a completely new entrance like Cedar Point, Carowinds, Worlds of Fun, or use a completely new design. Kings Island could also keep the same front gate and the International Restaurant but upgrade and theme the facade and build new ticket booths and a new season pass processing center. I really miss the old fountains! Before last year, I was saying to myself that they needed to be renovated. Now I’m regretting saying that. The old fountains just felt so much more magical to me. Fountain ERT will just never be the same again[emoji22]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

About 0 times. Lol, I haven’t been back to KI since July of 2019. I’m getting the gold pass so I’m hoping that changes.

Well I will admit I do have the all season Fast Lane so I ended up with 277 total rides on Orion this year. I had 19 visits this year including the First rider event. Had I not missed 2 visits late in the year I would have hit my goal of 300 , I did do 38 in one day. I did have the pleasure to riding with someone on Aug 10 when she was doing her marathon run of 60. Let see goal for next years total I haven't really decided but I would be shocked if I don't get to the 1000 mark as long as I get in 50 visits in 2021. I have been coming down for a long time but it was back in 2012 when I moved to the area and got a platinum pass that my visits really increased. I wish I would have lived this close sooner but I will just have to make up for lost time.

I thought this was an interesting video and he brings up some good points. Cedar Fair has been cutting off some manufacturers that have been giving their respective parks problems such as Intamin and by the looks of it RMC. There really hasn't been a hint or a leak that RMC is going to work with Cedar Fair in the near future. I'm not saying it'll never happen again, heck they could have something in the works now, but it doesn't seem super promising at this point and time. Outside of Canada's Wonderland there's not an immediate need to convert any wooden coasters. I imagine Cedar Fair is looking to see how Iron Gwazi does before wanting to work with RMC again. I'm not saying Cedar Fair has quit on RMC but it seems like they're more comfortable with other manufacturers even going so far as to work with Mack who ships their track overseas. It'll be interesting to see what the future holds in terms of Cedar Fair's relationship with RMC

Keep the structure as is. Get rid of the banners, replace the shingles, add accent pieces and international flags (i think they were there originally). Renovate the ticket building to emulate the architecture of International Street. Return the classic logo to the bank on the south side. Add some trees. Bring back decorative lamp posts. But don't demolish it and pull a Carowinds.

I would like to see them do something with the roof shingles and replace it with something more aesthetically pleasing. Right now those give it a run down look. I think that would be a good start.

I agree as well, the current entrance has plenty of infrastructure already built in, and it would be quite a large loss to tear it down. I mainly just see a facelift being needed in the next few years, especially on the west side facing the parking lot. Either updating it to a look more like the WinterFest entrance permanently with a more flush look like pictured above, or just simply modernizing the billboards and maybe new shingles and some roofing work would be all that's needed. KI truly doesn't need a completely new entrance plaza, especially compared to some other parks. Just needs a little modernization and/or revamping.

Rehab would be great.

I only ridden Orion one time last summer we only did a two day trip to Kings Island and we spent the rest of the summer at Cedar Point.

I agree that they shouldn’t demolish the entrance building but rather update and refurbish it. Something like this concept I found online would be nice because it keeps the same building and the International Restaurant, but it makes the entrance more grand and appealing and ties it into the international theme of the park. http://matthunterross.com/kings-island

Because of how beautiful International Street is, I don't hate the obstruction of it's view until I officially enter the park. It's always felt like a grand reveal of sorts, same with Wonderland and Dominion. I do wish the brown wall would be renovated and the building repainted/refurbished to look less dated and drab.

They can't tear it down cause of the restaurant, but they can over hall it.

I love everything about Mystic Timbers! The theme, the layout, the logo, the merch.... Oh and the ride kicks serious butt. So smooth, great trains, fast and furious, rapid fire ride!

I choose The Beast. There may be bigger and faster rides in the park, but this ride feels amazingly unique and has lots of charisma(and its also pretty fast)
