  1. I have 3 personal things I want to return Phantom Theater The Keggers King Cobra I know people will think I'm nuts for wanting KC to come back but I like to keep an open mind. The Surf Coaster is coming out so it might prove to be a comfortable alternative to the stand up model. I don't want anything huge, just something close to KC's stats. Georgia Scorcher is a pretty small stand-up and apparently people love it.

  2. I would be cool to see it incorporate a logging theme. I shared this a while ago when I was talking about incorporating MT theming into the train.

  3. Yes, there are sections delving pretty deep into the development of the waterpark through the years. The story behind why it was built in the first place is one of the most interesting in the whole book, in my opinion! I can’t wait for you to read it! I’m curious about your paranormal experiences? I know you’ve mentioned it before on here, but I don’t think you’ve ever gone into detail.

  4. I'm actually looking forward to seeing this project in print as I think Kings Island is honestly one of the few parks out there that really deserve more regard for the historical importance it has. Hopefully you have some waterpark history in there as I think it is more interesting than what most would be led on to believe. (and personally is one of the only places I can 100% say I've seen/heard paranormal activity at in the park)

  7. That’s what I envision too. Nothing extreme like Knott’s. Some static scenery in spots and lights on the trees that mimic the concept art for MT. Then sounds or something to give the concept of something in the woods. Basically just something showing an idea of logging and nature fighting back.

  8. I recently watched a POV of the refurbished Calico River Rapids ride at Knott's, formerly known as Bigfoot rapids. Throughout the ride guests encounter tons of cool theming and even animatronics. Could theming be added to White Water Canyon or would it be pointless? There is a lot going on with the train, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers going by so animatronics wouldn't make a lot of sense but I think it would be cool to see some theming added throughout stretches of the ride on an off year. I would even be fine if they tied it into the Mystic Timber's story. Thoughts?

  10. KD never had a car storage shed. Kings Island didn't in the early years either. Lew Brown had a lot of pull back then and convinced them to spend a lot of money on the ride that most parks don't. The KI enginehouse originally didn't have doors and we had to put plastic over the openings in the winter. He also convinced them to put in the jacks to raise the engines and the gantry behind the enginehouse to pull the propane tanks out and to lift the coaches for truck changeout. Plus we added all kinds of stuff to the engines in the way of making the piping better and to heat the sand dome and lubricator. There were many little things as well such as tapping in a drain in the exhaust to keep water off the engines in the morning, and adding the fake rivets and front door "bubble" (an old patio umbrella stand) to the smokeboxes. They are the heaviest modified Crowns ever built. I've always been curious why KD curved the storage tracks. Maybe there was a big rock there that they didn't want to move.

  11. I can’t wait for everyone to read Kings Island: A Ride Through Time in spring 2021, when it will be published by Rivershore Creative! The book is moving full-steam ahead once again now that I have a contract signed with the new publisher. I promise that the wait will be worth it, as I’ve been spending this time filling the book with more content, more interviews, and more incredible stories.
