  1. Cedar Fair is splitting management of park operations between Jason McClure and Pat Jones. https://www.morningjournal.com/business/carrie-boldman-named-vice-president-and-general-manager-at-cedar-point/article_5654b2b2-97a2-11eb-b665-e7c577b701eb.html https://www.coaster101.com/2021/04/06/carowinds-announces-manny-gonzalez-as-new-vpgm/

  4. This is what I’ve also been wondering. I’ve looked but I’ve founded no previous mentioned of SVP of operations @ CedarFair so I’m assuming it’s a new role. I’m assuming the regional VP role still exists (Which was filled by Bob white for the parks KI, KD & CP) but I guess it’s also possible that role has been phased out and replaced with this new posistion?

  6. Was there anyone previously in this role? Or are they both new roles? I know that Tim Fisher is COO of Cedar Fair.

  7. The "have to plan for their visit" means they don't want people to show up unprepared. If they were going to require reservations this year, it would've said "all guests must make a reservation before coming."

  8. Tune into WCPO on TV tomorrow! John Matarese produced a feature on my book that will run at 6:30 Thursday morning and 5:30 Thursday evening. It will be posted online afterwards!

  9. No indications yet that reservations will be required. Capacity wasn't an issue last year. I doubt they hit capacity more than once or twice, if that.

  12. I've been hoping we are getting all 3 DB and MT trains, as well as full loads. Will definitely help cut down wait times!!!! (and by full loads I simply mean loading every row/seat, not pairing different parties together)

  13. So, I got part 1 of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. I have a auto-immune programmed immune system, just without the organ my body was auto-immuning, so it hits viruses and the like pretty hard from the get go. As expected for me, I did get a little sick, but only mild achiness and head grogginess. If I had to work today, I probably would have. Just throwing this out there in case anyone here has someone affected by auto immune disorders and wants to know how they may affect them, albeit anecdotally.

  14. If you like the photos, wait until you read the stories behind them in Kings Island: A Ride Through Time!

  15. I remember when Mike Koontz flat out told the crowd at Coasterstock 2018 that he put in a request with Cedar Fair for Kings Island to build a giga coaster. Anyways, it is nice to see that the park has not abandoned Vortex’s plot of land and that they are still looking into a replacement someday. Edit: At the top of the page I am curious about what success paved the way for Orion. Was the article talking about Mystic Timbers?

  16. Makes sense considering CP and their access pass fiasco last year.
