  1. I get what you are saying which is why I don't find it the most realistic. However, I would be okay if they used some of it, but made sure they did whatever they could to keep The Beast's secluded feel. This coaster only goes under the hill right before the long straight section and does a cutback over the drop before that hill and that's the only way it comes close to The Beast's track. If I would change one thing about this is I would have a much lower drawn out wave turn and would go straight to the cutback so that it doesn't take up that much space and they can keep most of the trees there. Think of what they did with White Water Canyon when they put in Mystic however with this much less trees would be removed and you would only see this coaster once while on Beast. I may make a more updated concept. EDIT: Here is a more updated concept using a better software (I used my phone photo edit app and Google Maps on my last one) This time I'm using Google Earth Pro and Pixlr Editor so I can get a better look.

  3. So glad you’re enjoying it! It’s the comments like these that really make writing a book worth it.

  4. So, I just got my copy two days ago and already 100 pages in. I am loving it so far @KIghostguy It is very detailed and informative. It's like I was sitting in the room as you were doing these interviews.

  5. Just got my email yesterday saying the book was shipped, can't wait! I wonder how does this compare to other amusement and theme park books out there, like the one's for Carowinds and Kings Dominions? I listened to the podcast about the book and Evan said CP has one that ends in the 60's, is that the only one for CP?

  6. If you could somehow separate Sea World From Busch Gardens that would be great. Oh and bring back free beer.

  7. Agreed. Beast needs its seclusion, it's an important part of the theme.

  8. Sorry but I don't want anything crossing over or coming near to The Beast's land. Orion has been the only coaster to come close and that's as far as I would like it to go. Personally whatever replaces Vortex, I hope they use the cleared land and nothing more. Vortex had a low angle lift hill which took up a lot of space where as most manufacturers nowadays incorporate steeper lift hills to save space.

  9. Ik this isn't the most realistic, but this is my "dream" Vortex replacement. A ground up RMC topper track that interacts with The Beast. Basically you give RMC The Vortex plot and the land around The Beast and let them go at it (not touching The Beast, but interact with it). But still leave enough trees to keep The Beast secluded, but maybe give Beast a near miss element or two with this ride. In the concept below, it features a cutback going overtop the bottom of the second hill of Beast. The coaster would also feature lots of RMC ejector airtime.
