I know I keep posting these, I just can't stop making concepts based on new ideas and videos of Velocicoaster. In this one, I add a little enclosed prelaunch section where it'll stop before the launch similar to Velocicoaster. Then after the tophat instead of an immelman, I put an outer bank turn like what Pantheon has then a zero g stall following it. I also made the station a little higher and made it look like a mill and I also have the entrance and exits instead of being on the sides I have it on the front of the station below the platform and before the stairs under the station is where they'd have small lockers for loose items like phones and keys and stuff.2 points

Yeah, you know, while they've got that nice red paint out that's on the sign, I hear fresh track is easy to paint!2 points

I'd like to chime in on this. While prices do go up when rages rise, it's not nearly as much as some of you are making it seem. I did a study in college and worked directly with the CMO of White Castle to see if wages were raised to $15 per hour how much the price of products would increase. It was something like 15 cents per burger. Not a lot. For real world examples look at places like Buc-ee's, a popular gas station in the south (similar to WaWa). They have starting wages in the neighborhood of $15 per hour for front line positions. They match 401k contributions up to 4% (which is what I get as a ops manager at Disney ) and start off with 3 weeks PTO. Their prices are the same if not lower than competitors. Or look at Costco. Whatever side of the fence you're on, one thing is for sure: there is an overabundance of jobs requiring little skills, and a lack of potential workers to fill those spots. Looking at before the pandemic, I think we here in Florida were hovering around 4 to 7 % unemployed and we were struggling to fill positions. That's why you'll continue to see these pay increases, other unique benefits like tuition reimbursement, relaxed appearance guidelines (look at the disney look updates that happened last week) because companies are desperate to get people in the door.2 points

Oh for sure. I’ve been trying to buy a cabin in the pigeon forge area to rent out on Airbnb for the past 6 months. I’m constantly outbid with all cash offers and the realtor says most of them are international. The market is WILD right now.1 point

I purposfully didn't include La Ronde since they have a coaster of a similar design. I doubt Magic Mountain will ever get a 4d coaster after Green Lantern's failure.1 point

Contradicting to this thread, I wanted to point out that there are 6 parks in the chain that have yet to receive a 4D freespin. Imagine being St. Louis fans waiting for years for their new coaster only to know it'll most likely be a 4d freespin.1 point

I got so excited when I first saw the front of the trains. When I saw the picture of the entrance, my excitement levels increased ten fold. I'm loving these improvements! Good job, Kings Island!1 point

S&S Screamin Swing like Skyhawk, perhaps. That would even work in Rivertown, maybe on the corner of The Vortex plot next to the pizza place, or somewhere along the pathway towards the Eiffel Tower, like the open plot behind/next to Showplace that was last used for the Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular setup.1 point

I'd like to see a general overhaul of some parts of Rivertown. Mainly, a more distinct area transition on the Planet Snoopy side, including returning the flume to Rivertown and integrating it with the "Miami River" overall theme they've been using, and bringing the theme appearance around Diamondback and over towards the walkways to Coney and IS more up to par with things they've done with Mystic, for example. They could essentially do to Rivertown with Mystic's theme quality and apply it like Orion's theme quality was used for all of Area 72.1 point

Sorry for the double post I thought of one more thing I would like to add. I think in the next 10 years you'll begin to see a dramatic shift in housing. Houses are getting bought up with all cash offers, usually much over the already astronomical asking price and with supply going down it'll only get much worse. I believe the big companies are going to begin building their own housing complexes to solve for this and make them stand out as employers. I've been pitching to Disney since I was brought on the need to offer housing AT COST to employees. This solves for so many issues and is another tactic at not only being able to fill open positions, but to fill them with top talent instead of just warm bodies. As it relates to KI, it is a much different business, but if I was in their HR department and desperate for people, I'd have to start thinking outside of the box with different benefits otherwise KI will continue to struggle with staffing.1 point

I don't know why people at the lower tier get upset if the highest tier loses some money?1 point

Also a good rule I must add...no contacting people from the news media over things lol. I used to do that, but stopped when I was told the park hates it and especially now since I work there.1 point

I could definitely see it being Silver Dollar City with their recent land clearing, but I am not sure how big the area being cleared is. I would love to see Cedar Fair add something new, but it does seem like they want to wait before investing in new attractions. Maybe they will add only smaller rides and not rollercoasters for 2022 besides Kings Dominion’s S&S 4D Free Spin.1 point

My money is on Silver Dollar City, notice that FUN said they were freezing all nonessential capital expenditures, Kings Dominion has had Freefly track in their parking lot for more than a year now, then I doubt Six Flags will want to work with Gerslauer after the Texas Giant incident, as for SEAs, most of their parks already have all of their 2022 projects finalized from 2021, as they've said on conference calls that they are going to continue adding to their parks, and because of the challenging location aspect of it, I doubt this is going to Kentucky Kingdom (along with HFE stating that they are focusing more towards families), and Silver Dollar City has land actually being cleared right now, which is a good sign that it is indeed them, so my money is on Silver Dollar City.1 point

Sorry I couldn`t make the recording of this podcast. My wife gave birth to our third child, a healthy baby girl on Sunday, and we were just getting home from the hospital when this was recorded. We already have the next episode recorded, with another special guest, and former park employee. It was a fun interview. Stay tuned for the release of that episode. As always, if you have thoughts on subjects or special guests for future episodes, please let us know!1 point

Ooh ooh, can I be on next! In all seriousness, great interview! Always enjoy hearing Don talk about his time at the park. You learn something new every time.1 point

I will not reveal either way. My body my choice, I am guessing most on here are pro choice, as you are so pro vaccine, as this is the complete answer to this virus. I am not a scientist, nor do I spend hours upon hours by doing research for old numbers. We have vaccinations for the old viruses that have been proven and approved. These 3 available here are allowed, but not approved. It takes years to completely develop a vaccine that can be guaranteed. But, I guess we are a bunch of experts here. I have stated an opinion, that is apparently farther right then what most want to hear. I will keep my comments to myself from now on, since everyone wants to take everything to serious.0 points
