  1. Outrageous. Next they will come for our cargo shorts and soon after pockets altogether. Eventually even us men will have no option but to wear yoga pants and it will be the scariest most terrifying Haunt ever!

  2. ^I understand the tension here, but I don't think the company owes a newspaper anything other that what public record requires. The SR, in my opinion, is making things worse for the city by engaging in this fight. Right or wrong, why would a company keep a HQ in a hostile environment? The company and city should have their discussion(s) and if it is subject to public records request, then the SR should request it through channels. I the the SR is actually hurting themselves and the community by "picking this fight."

  3. We are now officially into fall per the calendar. Mother Nature is also shifting into fall mode as we feel the change from muggy warmth to soggy chilly days. What does that mean for KICentral members? We look forward to the changing colors of the trees as we ride our favorite coasters during the day, and the cool wind in our face as we take night rides on The Beast and Orion. The park just has a different feel in the fall that can not be explained to those who have not experienced it. As we get off a ride and warm up a bit, what does our body tell us we need to do? That's right, time to get some good food. The saying goes, "come for the rides and stay for the food." Has Chef Major turned that around? "Come for the food and stay for the rides." Time for you to decide! Chef Major has been working his magic in the kitchen to bring us some great treats at this years Tricks & Treats. Not only do we have our normal meal plan options, but the Trick's & Treats tasting card is sure to keep you warm this fall. Who's mouth does not start watering when you see this offering at Coney BBQ? Burnt Ends & Tot Hash - Smoked brisket burnt ends tossed in honey BBQ glaze served over seasoned tots and topped with pickled red onions. Here are all the locations that will offer tastings. There will also be Specialty Brews & Booze Bars at select locations throughout the park. Some are even available in a non-alcoholic version. To learn more about the tasting treats: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2021/september/foodie-guide-taste-the-flavors-of-fall-at-tricks-and-treats-fall-fest-at-kings-island To give us your reviews of the Tricks & Treats Tastings, post them in this thread: https://kicentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/38185-kings-island-2021-food-news-and-reviews/What What item on the tasting card menu are you looking forward to the most?

  4. **DOUBLE POST** Here is an intamin blitz concept with a speed car theme. Shake Rattle and Roll get relocated to where the basketball game is currently to provide more room for a bigger plaza

  5. **TRIPLE POST** sorry it just seems like everytime I post a concept the thread goes quiet lol. Anyways I created another concept of an Intamin launch with the same theme as the one before, but this time instead of a Maverick like ride, I go with a more modern Intamin style blitz more like Velocicoaster. The top hat would be over 200 feet tall and it would take the fastest multi launch coaster record from Pantheon.

  6. Except this is the papers complaint. That the park is not willing to provide the information that the paper believes it is required to provide under state law and decisions made by the states Supreme Court. Having read the argument the paper is making I actually agree with the paper that the parks security likely will be forced to respond and provide documents and information. I am not sure if what the paper requested is really that important, but from what I can tell the paper is correct and the park appears to be breaking the law. The city would not be involved here and has nothing to do with this. You make Freedom of Information Act requests directly to the agency. In this case that means you request documents directly from the parks security. It reads to me like the park is refusing to respond to those requests and is instructing the paper to talk to the parks lawyers. Which is part of the problem here, none of us know what the parks response has been.

  7. Tomorrow will be the first day I have missed opening day of haunt since Fear Fest was introduced due to a surgery tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to attend next week!

  8. “I’ll take, ‘things they didn’t think of’ for $100, Alex.” But to be fair, I do feel a little better about the prices now that I’ve seen the pictures. They look delicious, but we knew they would be. The portions seem to be bordering closer to meals than they are just tastings.

  9. It will be interesting to find out if CP has submitted any information to SR & if SR is just looking for a fight as you have suggested and seems to be the case. If CP has submitted information & SR is taking this public just to make CF look bad, is MAJOR mud on their face. The other thing I have noticed- SR seems more concerned about obtaining the public records as opposed to the well being of the injured woman.

  10. I'm not really sure where that "journalist" gets the notion that the information that the park released is "self-serving" when they came out almost immediately after the incident and appeared to take full responsibility by acknowledging that a (relatively) small metal object "became disengaged", resulting in injuries requiring medical care beyond on-site EMS. As for how much info is right to release and when, morally and legally, I dunno. I do know that they were demanding answers before an investigation could provide them. Not really sure what their deal is at the ol' Register.

  11. ^I am not versed in law about police agencies releasing information to the press--I mean what benefit is there to revealing an accident victim's name to the public--but CP Police seem to be in the wrong if the court said so even if they were morally correct. I did not see the quoted text in the editorial, but I would agree that any amusement park is capable of performing basic first aid rather than advance medical care. Sort of like a hospital patient in acute care that needs advanced care--they are transferred to ICU. In my experience, emergency services will take a person to the closest hospital for first line care and then choppered to a level one trauma center. Sometimes the chopper is sent to the scene, but this is rare because of landing conditions. This would have been very challenging at CP with little open space and tall rides everywhere.

  12. Lost Backwoods Bayou, Urgent Scare, Rivertown Reaping, Dance of the Macabre, Blackout, and Wolfpack. Traded Field of Screams for Corn-ered Backwoods Bayou and Wolfpack were both bottom of the pack to a lot of people. Urgent Scare and Rivertown Reaping were most likely cut due to the pandemic (Hospital and Plague doctors) Blackout was probably a similar reason due to touching the walls to work your way around the maze. Dance of the Macabre was under the Eiffel Tower which is getting its repaint. All of these moves make since to me, and I can say that we have a rather good and large crew for Slaughterhouse this year. I have always been a quality over quantity guy. Plus with all the food offerings and Tricks or Treats Fallfest, I think we are going to have a great season. I hope to see many of you there. Come visit Slaughterhouse for the freshest cuts of meat in town. We are dying to "meat" you.

  13. The park has proven they can now create their own food offerings and be successful. I don't think we need any more chains on the park. I could see it going the opposite direction.

  14. They also cut Haunted Homecoming from the live entertainment. The budget cuts in entertainment are purely to make more profit with a lesser guest experience. They sure didn’t cut live entertainment for pandemic reasons. There are no pandemic protocols left… All these cuts result in a crowded park with fewer attractions and a worse guest experience. They won’t maintain pass sales with that formula.
