  1. What if Cedar Point removed Power Tower (S&S Space Shot) to make room for a new Top Thrill Dragster queue/station extension and relocated the ride to Kings Island with the new spin shot seats on two of the towers? Drop Tower could be removed as part of the eventual Action Zone redo. I will admit this idea is a bit out there.

  2. That they do, I would be surprised if it is any kind of ride. More food options would be great. I would love to see a giant swing, like Skyhawk and 2 more flat rides back there. Kings Island has great coasters, but truly lacking on the flat ride side of things.

  3. This reiterates the Orion story but clearly says 2022. Any thoughts?

  4. That would honestly be a great idea! I actually said it when Orion was being built and I went through the Chaos Expedition Orion exhibit in 2019 that they should do it all year.

  5. Perhaps Chaos is getting turned into an all-season indoor attraction as part of the area theme?

  6. I seriously doubt they would start a teaser campaign for a Haunt attraction a year in advance.

  7. Hey maybe they’ll get python from Coney Island because riding it feels like getting hit by a meteor.

  8. Who knows, it might be something like an escape room in the Chaos building

  9. It be cool if they got one of those Mondial rides that look like airplanes and spin around even upside down…. But maybe give it like a retro name like flight commander as a way to celebrate the parks history Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. As much as I would love for Area 72 to see some additions for next year, I don’t know how much sense it makes with Kings Island’s 50 anniversary in 2022. If Kings Island adds any new ride, I think they would bring back an old ride. An Area 72 expansion would be really cool in the future, though.

  12. I've said in the past...someone from KI might have to go reclaim them in the middle of the night. I've never seen but I assume the existing Woodstock Gliders at KI are the newer kind that can't be snapped?

  13. according to the new KI book, they have tried to get them back several times, but Carowinds wouldn't give them back and it's not surprising as the locals there love it too.

  14. Or get the original gliders from Carowinds that many generations have rode. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I would love to see a flat ride package added to area 72. They could move those storage buildings over next to Orion's brake run and add a nice few flat rides to that area. My choices would be: an air race, a gravitron ride, and maybe you could relocate the current Gliders over there and give them an aircraft/spacecraft theme and that could free up room for something else in Planet Snoopy.

  16. i mean a flat ride could be announced during the off season and be built before spring right?

  17. Area 72 is a part of the park that would be great to have a big thrilling flat and maybe some smaller family oriented flats. A custom Mondial Top Scan would fit the thrilling piece and doesn't take up much space. A Tilt a Whirl and Musik Express themed to Area 72 would meet the second part. The other thing to keep in mind is if they are adding other rides they could they add more dining back there as well.

  18. This is a stretch so do with it what you will but could 2022 be the start of a construction year? I know it sounds dumb to tease construction a year before ground is broken, that's why its a stretch. The only reason I say this is because lately, the park has had coaster related construction start two years after a coaster is built: Banshee debuted in 2014 then two years later on 2016 there was land clearing for Mystic Timbers, Mystic Timbers debuted in 2017 with land clearing for Orion beginning in 2019, Orion debuted in 2020 and this poster is referring to 2022 meaning something coaster wise would debut in 2023. Like I said don't read too much into this, the numbers just seem to match up to what's been happening the past few years. I'm personally not getting my hopes up for anything coaster related since our 50th is next year so I'd rather focus on that than a construction project.

  19. The signs are in the CHAOS que. I didn't notice them Friday night, but they were there today. I think it has to do with the lab, not a new attraction.

  20. To me it definitely doesn’t sound haunt related. it wouldn’t focus on the hope part of it was. this is most likely a flat ride expansion for the area. It isn’t as big so it can wait to be announced and with Covid it likely just got finalized and approved 100%.

  21. Still confused as to why it would mention 2022 if it’s for this years Haunt, though.

  22. I totally agree but what I think is even more unlikely is them teasing a ride that’s supposedly supposed to be opening next year … in October of this year . I mean certainly anything is possible but that’s just my take. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I know @Oldschool75 said something about soil samples being taken in the back of Area 72 behind Orion. Maybe it could be a new flat ride or dark ride in Area 72 for next year?

  24. I am thinking a flat ride that can be rode by multiple "generations".

  25. Yes. Tervis is one of the leaders in this front and their stuff is good. Plus their printing process feels premium to the touch. I know this isn’t the exact same product, but I did buy the Cedar Point 150th mug by Tervis. I actually bought it because I loved the way the logo looked and I wanted to keep it as a display piece. Those who know me know that I don’t really collect theme park merch so it takes a lot for me to pull the trigger.

  26. There is one big difference between vaccination and natural infection. You may be betting your life on it: “While a natural infection may induce maturation of antibodies with broader activity than a vaccine does—a natural infection can also kill you,” says Michel C. Nussenzweig, the Zanvil A. Cohn and Ralph M. Steinman professor and head of Rockefeller’s Laboratory of Molecular Immunology. “A vaccine won’t do that and, in fact, protects against the risk of serious illness or death from infection.” https://www.rockefeller.edu/news/30919-natural-infection-versus-vaccination-differences-in-covid-antibody-responses-emerge/ I would also point out that the study in Israel has NOT been peer reviewed as referenced in your link. I believe it also only looked at the Phiser vaccine and seemed to be concentrating on the Delta variant. There is a reason studies are peer reviewed. (https://lib.byu.edu/faq/244739/) "The study relies on data from Israel's Maccabi Health Services, and was conducted by researchers from Maccabi and Tel Aviv University. A preprint of the study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, was published last week on medRxiv." It should also be pointed out that the it is better to get a vaccine even if you've been infected for the best results. https://www.11alive.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/vaccine-comparison-natural-immunity-covid-19-verify/85-6b531cb8-b604-46ef-b575-7566a4a6699a Those people you know who got sick after getting vaccinated and having it previously just shows how effective the vaccine is at inducing the body's immune system to an effective response. Most people who didn't have COIVID had a reaction after the 2nd dose because the first dose trains their body to recognize the antigen. I was relived when I had a reaction to the 2nd dose because it meant my body was ready to do battle with the disease and the vaccine had done it's job. BTW, did any of them die? https://www.gavi.org/vaccineswork/why-vaccine-side-effects-might-be-more-common-people-whove-already-had-covid-19 COVID affected me because my uncle died of it. He refused to get vaccinated and his last days on this Earth were spend fighting for is life and in pain. His last words were (as so many others have conveyed on a ventilator) "I wish I would have gotten the darn vaccination".

  27. Because the immunity from previous infection does not last. The last study I saw was 180 days of antibodies. Then you’re at risk just like the non-vaxed. Also private business can ask for anything. If you don’t like it then that’s fine. My private college demanded our vaccination record because they didn’t want me being measles mumps or rubella on campus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  29. It seems to me the sentences are scrambled to play with us. Seems like it should read: Decades ago astronomers predicted it would happen. A meteor storm will continue for generations, but there is hope. In 2022 it begins.
