  2. It's simple. Just build the coaster underground so it can't sink.

  3. Charles Dinn and Al Collins would find it very fitting if they were still with us today.

  4. I feel there's something poetic about The Beast giving its first night rides on a Friday the 13th this season.

  6. Some data I was able to find. Probably not perfect, but likely close. (63) log flume rides were made 1963-1985, about half are currently operating. Of those at CF parks: (5) are operating (10) have been removed, not necessarily by CF Another Intamin failure...*SHOCKER*

  7. I thought the glaze was meh. Not bad. Not great. I encourage all of you to try it for yourself to draw your own opinions. For me, it’s not like it was gross, but it was not a, “You HAVE to try this!” thing like Dollywood’s.

  8. ^At least Cedar Point did try to put in a new one, its just they found the one designer who managed to screw up a log flume.

  9. Cedar Fair killed all the water rides there. They removed Powder Keg Flume and Whitewater Falls then left Rip Roaring Rapids SBNO. Paramount did most of the damage to the water ways but CF was the culprit with the rides. Given Cedar Points history of removing water rides I’m surprised KI and KD (thankfully) still have the original flumes.

  11. Yes, but IB has a new owner. The last company got rid of Galaxy. The new owner, Gene Staples wanted to put a Galaxy back in its place. He has deep pockets and has really put money into the place.

  14. When I think of frontier Cincy, I don't really have a mental image of Western cowboys and Indians. More of settlers and pellet traders, then steamboats. Soaps and candles from P&G and pigs when the area was known for meat packing (Slaughterhouse does fit the theme!). There is a big difference between pioneers/settlers and cowboys.

  15. ^Now I'm imagining KIC renting out a portion of the park a la Kentucky Kingdom and the KY fairgrounds situation, crowdfund a $20 million Mack coaster, and have all the ERT (with complimentary fountain for @pianoman using the old pedestals). It also has to be conditioned to run in sub-0F weather for @malem.

  16. Getting back to the topic, I feel like any park in the chain's "big four" could receive one. I'd even throw in Kings Dominion. Ironically, Kings Island is the one park I would think would be the least likely of the five parks I just listed to get one. We're missing that traditional looper and I feel like spinners aren't for everyone. Kings Dominion needs a stand out coaster which an extreme spinner definitely is. Carowinds is always in talks of getting something big but with them getting Copperhead Strike it would be unlikely that they would get something else from Mack so soon. Canada's Wonderland needs more support coasters and more launched coasters so I feel like one would fit there well. Cedar Point is always adding new, exciting, coasters so a record breaking spinner would certainly turn heads but I don't think they would be ready for one any time soon. In my opinion: Kings Dominion Canada's Wonderland Cedar Point Kings Island Carowinds If Cedar Fair decided to get an extreme spinner I think it should go to Kings Dominion. It could be a first for the east coast and could give people more of a reason to go to the park after they've removed so many attractions.

  18. If it is anything like Time Traveler I want it at KI. Poor MA can't even get their name spelled right in the poll.

  19. I don't know what park will get a coaster like ths, but I voted for a park that I want to get it. MA needs a new coaster, and I hate spinning coasters. I could go to MA and skip it and not feel like I missed anything. LOL
