  1. I hope they relocated the two redbud trees that were planted during the 2022 offseason. I'm fortunate enough to have tons of them on my farm growing wild, they are beautiful specimen trees. It would be cool if they would plant some pawpaw trees. They are a subtropical species but have a very tropical look and are native to the area.

  2. So, assuming that there aren’t widespread changes, this is what you get vs what had/what was advertised: VIP Lounge (Was) Open park hours (Now) Limited hours Bottled drinks (Was) a feature (Now) Not available Bottled water (Was) a feature (Now) Jugs with rotten fruit sitting in the top Other parks benefits (Was) available (Now) not competent to tell us for sure Preferred parking (Was) a feature (Now) possibly inaccessible many days Pass Perks (Was) some sort of joke (Now) offers “enhanced” prizes which are equal to the ones you paid for with your pass I implore you NOT to tow the company line. Remember you paid for these features. If other people were taking advantage of things like the bottled drinks then that is not your problem. You paid for it. That’s the park’s problem to figure out. Also, taking your payment and then changing the terms is not something you should accept. They offered a product and you accepted it. They can greatly reduce the value and you cannot opt half way through to downgrade your pass and get a refund. Remember, the people that bought this pass shelled out $300-$400. The things listed above are not like gold pass benefits. You paid extra for these features. You should demand to get what you paid for. If you think otherwise you are nothing more than a sycophant, and even if you think highly of the park this alone reflects how the park thinks about you.

  3. That might work, I think they have to put some Christmas lights along the trail, for something for people to enjoy along the way, so it's just not a carriage ride in the dark woods.

  4. I noticed it was missing and wondered about that. If it does come back at some point, I hope it is moved to a trail in the woods rather than a midway. I think that would make a great setting and also people wouldn’t have to constantly be on guard to ensure that they don’t get run over by a horse!

  5. Heres a new concept of mine. This one involves basically splitting Timberwolf in half. Based on observation of this past year's concerts, the concerts weren't even half sold and it's pretty obvious Timberwolf won't bring in the big acts that Riverbend does so they don't really need the 10,000 seats. This idea will allow them to use some of the land for new additions/new coaster (I have here a B&M surf) in part of the land and in the other half where the stage is, install grass for festival style viewing and still have concerts (more like what the Busch Gardens parks are doing) where it is more up and coming/local acts and is free with park admission.

  6. With all their classic rides and old props they seems to still have they use for events would be cool to see them make a large “legacy store” gift shop like Universal Studios did. If they don’t reuse the entrance sign somewhere in the queue would be a great addition in a shop like that.

  7. Knowing Kings Island they likely lowered the original sign down gently and it’s being repainted or something behind closed doors. They wouldn’t just toss that…

  9. The IF statement will come to fruition IF the passholders stay silent and simply let the park devalue the pass. What can they offer to take away the bait-n-switch feeling the prestige passholders are experiencing and expressing on social media? Does moving the VIP to the grassy area next to the Restroom across from Hanks constitute an improvement? Does providing fountain drinks next year constitute an improvement over the bottled beverages? Does.... Or...what can they offer that is above and beyond what was proposed when they purchased that folks will feel like they got their money's worth? Is it ERT for just Prestige holders? Extra BAF days?

  11. New video dropped by Kings Island on YouTube. One of the last things Kyle worked on before he left. I’m glad I was able to help him out with it and get the film scanned. Not perfect, but it’s being worked on still. Please Enjoy.

  12. Beef Wellington burger was not great. 2 low quality burger patties, mushrooms, spinach, and Swiss in a Wellington type of roll. It’s premade, so you can’t customize. There’s a reason they don’t describe what is in it on the menu. Chicken and dumplings: I have yet to see a dumpling in it. It’s basically a chicken stroganoff or stew. Coney Turkey was good. But still on the hunt for something to get excited about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Diamondback webcam just got a lot more interesting this off-season! Looking forward to see if it's the same paint job as the original or a different one. Curious if we're going to get a Beast re-paint with that red stained wood.

  15. Might become a new addition to the museum walls of the sign shop, unless they put it in the station or in a tunnel or something.

  16. I could see the old sign being incorporated into some kind of que easter egg, along with some other different types of teasers.

  17. It will be very unfortunate if they don't bring back the iconic sign in some way. Like maybe they have a new one to match the rest of adventure Port but bring the old one back as a Easter egg in the AE que or put it inside the new restaurant or something. As for the dedication rock it needs to be included in the new area in some fashion as well.

  18. Same. From the concept art, it looks like it might be gone.

  19. I'm glad I have pictures of the old sign of Adventure Express. Just in case it doesn't return.

  21. Went last night and had a great time. Cheers againt to the Culinary team for all the new offerings. The Meatloaf Burger was outstanding and I can't wait to try the other Winterfest goodies. Saw the Swinging show in the Feasthaus and it was fantastic. Good amount of audience participation and the band and singers were great! Also saw what the Dickens and it is definitely a very re-watchable show. The cast does a great job. Finished the night with the parade and it was fantastic as always. Such great energy and a good way to start the xmas season. Kudos to all the staff at KI for getting the park ready for Winterfest. Your hard work and dedication are appreciated!

  22. My thoughts- loose chick fil a, add a park unique Chinese concept there with revamped seating - more pavilion style open side-hard roof with heaters and fans, revamped landscaping to make it feel like Chinese garden to tie into international street. Loose skyline and add park specific indoor dining concept with breakfast, lunch, dinner sandwiches- with a few loose “international” influences for the lunch and dinner options. replace Panda in Festhaus with a dedicated German option, then make the other, larger side an international “food hall” with family friendly options lije pizza, burgers and chicks fingers one aside and rotating CARNIVALE-style food choices on the other line.

  24. Apparently Gerstlauer created the actual restraints If it does turn out that someone at the park adjusted the seats to allow larger riders, then whoever did that and whoever employed them is fully at fault rather than the manufacturer. As someone previously pointed out, the belts on KI's Drop Tower are more of a sizing mechanism. It sounds like the Orlando Freefall has sensors for that same purpose and, from the manufacturer perspective, doesn't need belts. And belts aren't going to stop an operator determined to let more people ride.

  25. I love this concept. It would be a great way for some of these bands to get some recognition and be some fun entertainment for the guests.

  27. The point of enthusiast "media" sites is to get clicks and drive traffic. Ever notice how so many things are BREAKING NEWS of titles use the word "We" and alot of capital letters? Just like traditional media, outlandish headlines sell.. I'm still wondering if there is going to be a discussion of the "land clearing" around The Beast queue or the Adventure Express queue.
