  1. Surprise! I told you they were saving something good. I am so proud to have served as lead contributor. It’s been a long process to get this to reality (5years) but now that it’s out, I couldn’t be more excited. Enjoy folks!

  2. Well, today’s item is special…a coffee table book about the history of the park! And at the moment, there are signed copies available:

  3. I was given the chance to proofread the manuscript and page through a physical copy at the IAAPA show last month. It's a beautiful book that's a must-have! As with anything written/published by Barry Hill, it's very high quality. It makes for a fabulous accompaniment to Kings Island: A Ride Through Time.

  4. Finally! I have been looking forward to this book ever since I first heard about it back at Ki's 50th birthday celebration in April.

  5. All of the models in the 50th anniversary shop as of tonight. Definitely buying The Vortex model when I get paid next. (Stood around for a good while trying to figure out the exact price and availability but the staff member was SUPER helpful at the desk tonight!!) They still have several copies of Goodbye Coney in stock, got a few for some Christmas gifts and they’re in good condition!

  6. Lol - no signature. The main challenge was, of course, squeezing in 50 years of visual history. It barely scratches the surface of all the park’s memories. But I think it captures the past 5 decades well.

  7. yep and we spoke to a guy at the collections who had just put out the last pins. He was not sure when they would get WindSeeker. Said they got those pins in today so hopefully by next weekend WindSeeker will be out for sale.

  8. Still feel “Sounds of the Nativity” is the most underrated, under appreciated live entertainment option at Winterfest. Awesome vocals, well produced lighting and just a “classy” experience (with sone tweaks). They’ve done a few things in past year to this to draw attention, but think the “light up tombstone “ sign should go further down on the main path. Then line the path back with all the other “tombstone lanterns“ with stained glass designs leading to the big stained glass nativity. Even lining the path with snow drift trees and luminarias. The assorted lanterns they used over the old “Pumpkin Eater” path this year would be beautiful to hang over the path to really draw attention. Then PLEASE put some benches or cafe tables back there in front of the stage. Put the animal food vendor right by the entrance or someplace NOT right by the stage so you could actually focus on the entertainment if you didn’t want to pet the critters. Actually they NEED sone seating at all of these temporary show venues to make more enjoyable to actually watch the show.

  11. So where’s your signature?! (Maybe you can still run over to the park & sign them before they go out!) I am looking forward to seeing so much park history all in one place instead of spread out over years of maps, Fun Gudes, press releases etc…and I know that you are swimming in rare stuff, so this should be amazing! I never would have expected a physical book at this point in time, so this is really cool. Thanks in advance for your hard work!

  14. Now it’s Vortex’s turn! I wish that they would have gotten more creative with the track…maybe a partial corkscrew or half of a loop.

  15. Today on the site the “new” listings are for 2 different Christmas ornaments. I believe the brass one is the same as the one I bought a year or two ago. (Am I wrong?) I have not seen the fireworks one before though…but it really doesn’t look $19.99 nice to me…more like something I would expect to pay $14.99 for. EDIT: I dug up the one I bought a year or so ago…the new one is different…they swapped out some rides…it is really similar…yet different.

  18. They look great! I really like the Orion and Mystic Timbers ones! I am interested to see how those zippers would feel.

  19. Today’s new offering on the site is 5 new sweatshirts: They are $70.00 each…I think they look nice, but I am not a fan of printing on sleeves…I think it looks dated…like it’s from the 90’s…for those of you who are old enough to remember that time period.

  20. I really like the Mystic Timbers one; that would be cool if there was one for The Bat (1993).

  21. $200 is a little excessive, but I’m sure the right buyer is out there. I like this one better than the DB one.

  22. CP has had these for SV and Millie since 2020 and even as an insane SV fan there still isnt one in my house, nor are they sold out on the website, so for those who want one of these but dont have the cash to drop on it just yet, dont worry.

  24. It will sell out, but at $199 I don’t think it’ll be crazy fast. It takes a special type to spend that kind of money of KI memorabilia.

  26. Although it would be tempting to choose one of the more intense/bigger coasters like Invertigo or Banshee, I voted for The Bat. The past few Winterfests I've walked back there (well, as far as I can go without trespassing - which is to say, a little past the Action Zone bathrooms) and was sad to see The Bat closed during the event. Though I understand that The Bat (and my second choice, Adventure Express) are Arrows and therefore, they can't run below a certain temperature, it would be great to have it open during this time (and on that note, I wonder if Adventure Express will be "winterized" during the offseason so that it could perhaps run during next year's WF). They could even have lights on some of the trees and festive signs in the area. Also, like I said, my second (and more realistic choice) would be Adventure Express... perhaps this will happen with the opening of Adventure Port... EDIT: I saw someone voted for Beast... that could be interesting during WF... it could even be rethemed to an abominable snowman like monster
