  1. I think a big problem with this forum right now is that important things like this get buried under larger umbrella threads so people miss it. i.e.: A thread called “2023 season” makes perfect sense until important deals start coming out closer to opening. Having things like Preview Day, minor new updates, show announcements, etc buried into a 100 page mega thread is simply a disservice. It’s less of a TOS thing and more of a community understanding thing.

  2. I’ve heard that the new installment will be gravity driven, so it may or may not be a water coaster in most peoples’ eyes. The good news is that the new addition could be coming sooner than later, as in, by the summer. Don’t hold me to this, it’s just what I’ve heard. Their water coaster will be missed.

  3. Wilk’s Outdoor Living has been posting Adventure Port hardscape updates on their Instagram. They are currently installing big stone blocks to act as a curb (and will definitely be used as benches). I really like it so far. There are a few other posts on their Instagram in addition to these pictures.

  4. Even when I ran KIC, I would always allow the dual topics. People don’t gravitate to or utilize KI News so it’s another good way for people to miss information, although it’s important because it populates the main page.

  5. I just hope the Skyline’s in the park keep the crinkle cut fries. It is what makes Skyline in the park unique vs all of the Skyline’s outside of Kings Island.

  6. 2, if not 3. Think a Soarin’ type simulator would be great fun for family’s and be another attraction to do when it’s raining and add to Winterfest. if they do tear it down, I hope they keep the queue. Have always thought it could work well rethemed as a mine leading up to either an indoor attraction or a major outdoor flat like a Screamin’ Swing.

  7. I will say this and maybe I will be in the minority here, but I think it would be neat to see more in house type places to eat vs chain restaurants. Not saying chain eateries are bad by any means, but I like the idea of more unique opportunity to try something that is built from within instead of something you can find down the street. And that is of course if this is the direction that is being taken.

  10. I think Woodstock Whirlybirds, the Character Carousel and the Grand Carousel should be added. I don’t see the harm considering they don’t move super fast and people like to film their kids.

  13. No, they just like what they like. Kinda condescending to say that people chose not to eat different things because they’re scared….maybe they like to food from chains because it’s familiar and maybe even comforting. I like to try new offerings, but I’m not going to think someone’s scared because they opted for cheese coneys over King Cobra sushi.

  14. I'm with those that prefer original, in house options that you can't find outside the park. But I'm fine with chains that have a close connection to the park or the area. Though Skyline seemed like a waste of one of the park's few indoor dining areas. I remember hearing that you can pay a dollar to get Mac&cheese instead? I would like some tomato soup as an option personally. The meals are definitely light when compared to other things on the meal plans.

  15. Actually, GenX. But we call out the BS when we see it, especially from the so called "influencers."

  17. It's good to see the guestrooms being refreshed. They were still pretty nice, but they were definitely due for a remodel considering the price they sell for. Bedbugs affect all types of hotels, from Motel 6 to Four Seasons. Part of the risk of having different guests bring their stuff into the rooms every night. The first thing I do when entering any hotel room is to check the mattresses and behind furniture for signs of bedbugs. GWL follows industry best practices for detecting and eliminating infestations.
