  2. ^^I’m not sure what exactly was promised for Mystic Timbers. All I remember is a “family woodie” with a shed at the end that would do... something. KI never said anything about it being elaborately themed to Disney standards. Most of the hype around the shed came from forums like this where enthusiasts speculated on what would be in the shed, from some animatronics to an inversion/drop track. As for what the shed is, it’s a well themed area that is much more enjoyable than sitting in the blazing heat on a boring brakerun imo. Plus, in terms of what major park chains usually do, MT is well themed, with such things as lift hill voiceovers, a small “movie” for the queue, and amazing music by IMAScore, in addition to the Shed. I personally love the theming. Could they have done more? Yeah of course. But for what was done, I think it’s great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. ^WE DEMAND PHOTOS!!!!1! DELIVER ON YOUR CLAIMS OR YOU’LL BE BANNED FROM KICentral FOREVER!!!!! Just to clarify, yes I am being sarcastic. At this point I honestly don’t care to see more track/structures of the same blue color that we’ve seen a million times already. The main thing I’m waiting for now are some teasers. 4. Decoding 2020 has solved another mystery! Great work everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. ^Those who expect no surprises are those that end up being the most surprised. I’m not saying they’re gonna be like “lol the blueprints were fake we’re actually getting dive coaster” but there may be something that isn’t quite what you expect. (For example, look at MTs shed at the announcement. We knew the layout and everything, but we didn’t know what was in the shed [if you don’t like the shed, please, save us some time. We’ve heard it a million times]. If that’s not your cup of tea, check out DC Rivals back car. I’m not saying this coaster will definitely do something like this, I’m just saying don’t count it out yet) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. ^I mean personally I would care if I payed 30 million for something and it was covered in scratches, but that’s just me. Plus, scratches can lead to cracks, and cracks can lead to material failure. So to answer your question, it depends. A small surface scratch or two, no they won’t care. Some things you just can’t control. Scratches all over the coaster, or scratches that are a bit more than just surface abrasions, yes they will definitely care. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. ^Just saying if we choose to vote one of you off the island, I think we’re gonna keep the one that flies in the spy plane lmao Back to the topic at hand, I think is this is a good point to reiterate how different B&M and Intamin gigas are. I’ve heard quite a few concerns that this new coaster will be just like Mille and there’s no point to building it when CP is “right there.” If you’ve ridden any combination of an Intamin giga and a B&M giga, it’s clear to see how different they actually are. The Intamins seem more focused on positives and low to the ground speed while the B&Ms, though also focusing on speed, put more attention into airtime and lats. I personally prefer that latter much more as I love airtime. Fury is an incredible ride, and if our giga rides anything like fury (which I’m sure it will), it will be nothing like Mille. 8. It’s hard to tell tbh. I think it’ll peak around 4-5 hours for opening weekend and maybe even the second weekend, but then I’d guess 1-2 hours max after that. Most summer days I’d assume less than an hour, but as I said before, it’s really hard to tell. SV consistently pulls multi-hour waits even into this year. I think Fury would be a closer comparison though. Whenever I’ve gone to Carowinds, it hasn’t been more than 30 minutes (though I first went in 2016). Plus, I believe KI pulls larger numbers on average than Carowinds (please correct me if I am wrong). My guess, though, is that it will be around an hour wait the whole first year, as B&Ms are GP pleasers. Many normal park guests will flock to this ride unlike I305 which is often a station wait and rarely gets too crowded (from what I’ve been told.) It will be crowded, but hopefully worth the wait! 9. ^I don’t think it’s related. I believe they did the same thing last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It only makes sense the worst giga has the worst college’s colors! I’m of course being facetious... about it being the worst giga. Love the color, can’t say the same about the University of Kentucky... DB, being as controversial as ever Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I’d say Mille is “The Hunk of Junk” and KIs will be “The Better Blue Coaster” [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I just realized how similar that track color is to Banshees supports. Love that blue though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. There have been quite a few made. Just look up “RMC Son of Beast” and have fun watching. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. ^Thats not even funny. Flashlight are expensive! Don’t get our hopes up! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. ^True. I always forget about DB. I just think about Banshee and MT, which (I believe) both started on the first day of the season. If not, they were very near the beginning. To me it’s just strange that there’s been next to nothing in terms of teasing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I know we’ve been saying it for a while now, but I really do think teasing will start within a week. It makes sense to wait until Grand Carnivale starts so as to not take away from it, but I don’t think they’ll wait all the way until it’s finished as, going off when announcements have been done in years past, that would give them only about a month of teasing before the announcement. Who knows, maybe that’s what they have planned. Maybe they won’t tease at all. Imo that would be very strange given the scale of this project, but if not teasing causes more hype, so be it. Plus, if their intent was to have people spread rumors about a giga before teasing starts, mission accomplished. Most everyone, including a lot of the GP, know something big is coming, most likely a 300’ y’all coaster. However, with no really big recent developments (For the point of argument, im saying the hype around track color has died down), I think some teasing should be in order to keep people excited. Just my two cents on the matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Also no matter what (unless its a new coaster type) B&M will call it a hyper model, as is the case with Fury and Levi. Giga is a term by Intamin when Millennium Force was built. B&M just refers to their coasters by what their mode is. For example, multiple dive coasters are over 200’ but they are not called “hyper coaster” they are called “dive coasters” because that is their model. As for Kings Island, they can call it whatever they want. If they wanted to call Diamondback a giga, there’s nobody stopping then. Yes enthusiasts would be upset because we have an idea of what a giga should be (300’ height and/or drop) but to the average person, they don’t know the difference between a hyper, giga, or strata. Kings Island will almost definitely market it as a giga because a. By most enthusiasts definitions it is considered a giga, and b. the term has become fairly well know around here due to the all the hype surrounding KI getting a giga for years. KI will do what they think is best to get the most people in the park. Edit: Didn’t mean to put that emoji lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. No you don’t, but the likelihood of that being the case is very near zero, mostly because these are the plans that were filed with the city, not just a random find on an online forum. Messing with enthusiasts and guests is one thing. Doing so by sending fake plans to a government building... doesn’t sound like fun on KIs behalf if they did this imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. ^Seems to be a theme here. I understand people not wanting to get their photos posted without credit, but if the watermark covers the whole photo, it really defeats the point of the photo because you can’t see any detail in the photo. Am I crazy for thinking this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. My hope for a lime green giga is dwindling ;-; Maybe we’ll get some other lime green coaster in the future... DB, who has wanted this color coaster for years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I believe CSF did work for Arrow Dynamics and B&M really liked the quality of work produced. I believe this is what I’ve heard but I may be wrong. Edit: Found a little story about it http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2008/12/scott-carol-present.html?m=1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Few quick questions: Dark or light? Single color or two? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. ^^Unless the FAA has amended its rules on drones, private property owners cannot allow or disallow any drones flying in the airspace around their property as they technically do not own the airspace. The FAA is the governing body over all airspaces. While there are many rules, such as it must be under 400’, it must be in sight at all times, you cannot fly over humans, etc. flying over private property is not a restriction. So as long as you take off from non-private property, are outside a 5 mile radius of an airport (more rules on this and when you can be in the radius), and follow all other rules set forth by the FAA, it is perfectly legal. So again, my previous question still stands. If we were to have proof of taking off and landing from an appropriate, legal spot, and the pictures are taken from, a neutral, legal airspace, would we be able to post pictures and videos? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. ^Not trying to be snarky, just genuinely curious. If we were to take a picture of the drone taking off from a neutral, non-private area, and keep the drone from entering any unauthorized airspace/buildings, would we be able to post drone photos and videos? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
