  1. This is quite possibly one of the dumbest posts that I have ever read. Thank you for the laugh.
  2. Looked like there is a block brake before the shed and there almost certainly will be one after the shed but before the station.
  3. Found it. I guess the truck was a clue after all! (http://mystictimbers.visitkingsisland.com/nature-rises/ride-renderings)
  4. Lot's of good information about the ride in this paragraph from the official website. (http://mystictimbers.visitkingsisland.com/explore-the-woods/press-release)
  5. Just felt like mentioning that this ride made my 54 year old dad want to revisit Kings Island. My dad hasn't been to the park since 2010.
  6. Actually surprised that I was somewhat close on my guess. Anyways the ride looks like what would happen if The Beast and The Racer had a baby. AKA it probably will be a very fun ride especially at night. Still confused like the rest of you on what Greg meant by there being two major announcements for 2017. Also, does this mean we have to start a decoding episode 2.5 topic for #WhatsInTheShed? lol
  7. I'm officially guessing Mystery Forest. Based off every single clue that I have read in this topic.
  8. So I think I am incredibly close to the name/theme after reading this. That was not in fact an axe in the truck.
  9. Best name that I could come up with: Barreling Beaver Beavers are nocturnal, chop down trees, and make dams in rivers. Barreling because the ride has a couple barrel rolls in it.
  10. Keep in mind guys that no other CF park has teased anything to the scale of Kings Island this summer. My money is on this attraction being the "Major Thrill Ride" addition in the chain. If that is the case, this could easily be in the range of a $20 million capital investment. $20.5 million was the cost to build Son of Beast for reference. Me personally, I believe it to be an RMC. Barrel rolls and "If you build it, they will come" were part of the teasers. This is, to me, not being advertised as anything average or small. I'm not discrediting GCI for not being fun, but a lot of you act as though the GP do not really know about RMC, but attendance is probably up in those parks because of how easy it is market an upside down wooden coaster. At this point in time, there is enough safety and capacity data for CF to warrant investing in one, so why not now? Like most of us are saying though, anything is fair game. So buckle your seat belts and put your lap bars down. This announcement is about to be just as thrilling as the ride being announced!
  11. I think we would have received more feline related clues if the name was Splintercat. The website's hint alludes to more of a forest vs lumberjack dichotomy at least in my opinion.
  12. I'm pumped!! A little sad I'm in Chicago this summer until August 13th. I was at the Banshee announcement, and I remember how incredibly enjoyable that event was. Waited 2 hours before the actual announcement to get a front row spot lol. Hopefully I can catch a live broadcast online for this one. I'm sure someone will have it.
  13. Somewhat relevant to the discussion: I just rode my first RMC yesterday when I visited Six Flags Great America and rode Goliath twice. That thing is absolutely insane and is making me all the more excited to see what Greg and Don announce for next year!
  14. FORG... C + E = G??? FORCE...?... FORGE?..?.. GORF, GOFR... GOPHER??... Probably nothing...
  15. Did someone call for an engineer? Or are you possibly referring to the train's engineer. (emphasis on train)
  16. As much as I wanted a giga, I think this is an excellent Rivertown addition. A GCI would be a great cost effective coaster that provides the park with another mid-size ride. Also, I'm curious as to if the park took the bait and names it The Beastie for nostalgia.
  17. I'm quite doubtful that RFYLCB is being removed. If I recall, Thunder Road's removal was announced in May. If we don't hear anything by next weekend (which is a major tourist weekend), I think the flume will be safe.
  18. As someone that lives in the area, it's fairly obvious that you need to get in the left lane driving north, at least if you're an observant driver. For those not, maybe your $18 parking fee and refund wait will make you one. Just my two cents.
  19. Splashdown = Major Key What else splashes? WWC and RFYLCB It doesn't add much to the conversation, but it is still consistent with previous hints. If I recall one of DJ Khaled's quotes though: "The key is to make it." Edit: Think of what else Khaled says... (Another one)
  20. @fryoj: If that were the case, then the park would just invest the money into a new family attraction and just scrap DA all together. Logistically, it does not make that much sense to me. As previously said by other members, the spectacle of DA wore off already. Why spend $1 million dollars to move an old attraction when you can build a new one for that price?
  21. I don't think the argument that having DA next to the kids area is a good enough reason. I'd imagine the park would rather want to spread out its younger audience attractions across the park instead of only having them confined to a single area. It's better for families that way.
  22. I was a Security Officer for the park last season. So I'll try to clear this up since I've never seen anyone fully describe it. That said I 100% refuse to divulge anything about how KIPD and KISD (or the park for that matter) operate for very obvious reasons! This post is just meant as a clarification because this stuff is all public information. Kings Island has a Security Department and a Police Department. The latter is composed of officers that are members of other police departments as you mentioned. The City of Mason also rotates their officers into the park to provide assistance to the KIPD. The key thing to note is that all police officers in the park or parking lot do have the authority to enforce laws and regulations in the State of Ohio. Anyways, obviously follow all rules including the park policy and parking laws in order to keep you and others safe and able to fully enjoy the day at the park. Hope this helps!
  23. Thanks haha. I've been reading the forums for awhile, but I haven't really had much different to add to the conversation until now.
