  1. Ya got me! That's what I meant [emoji3] Sent from my Pip-Boy 3000 via Tapatalk
  2. Best version of the 20th Anniversary Special is here: Also, the 25th anniversary would've been in '97. 2004 was KI's 32nd year of operations..

  4. https://www.instagram.com/p/BHfb-HoB6fY/?taken-by=kingsislandpr "Lots to see aboard the KI & Miami Valley Railroad." Notice the heavy equipment in the background

  6. Only Don could make WLWT publish a headline like: "KI tweets photos of sticks"
  7. ^ ____________________________________________ fryoj, I love your layout! Best I've seen so far.
  8. Project info shared with no sources, sources flashed as proof to justify egos, and finally, some real updates. Looks like I'm all caught up on the ol' decoding thread!
  9. ^Yup even wiping the phone and putting the device in DFU mode can't break Find my iPhone and iCloud lock. It's hard-coded into the iOS. As for the efforts of KK staff to find the phone, all they'd have to do is stand in the restricted area after park closing, so its quiet, and have you play the lost phone sound and have the screen light up. Simple. It makes me mad they claim they weren't able to find it.
  10. Really great photos and video, malem. I had anticipated that the majority of clearing around the WWC queue was yet to come. It looks like they're making great progress!
  11. I got this kid yesterday. I thought he was hilarious, but that's just me. If I was his supervisor I'd advise him against saying that^ in particular. Some of his jokes weren't too bad though. And he thanked us for visiting the Newport Aquarium, so that was cool
  12. I'll chime in with the walk on's, from 6 to 9:30 yesterday we rode whatever we wanted as many times as we liked.
  13. I may try. Its shaping up to look like we may have a window from 6 till about 9 or 10. I could be wrong, but as of now that's what the hour-by-hour shows. Currently no rain out my Mason office window. It's very scattered right now
  14. Most if not all rides at KI will stay open in light to moderate rain. As far as individual attractions, what level of severity brings them down I do not know. Any level of "severe" weather will generally ground all major rides. I would think that would include things like hail too IMO.
  15. ^^Oh gosh, I wish so much that could happen. I still call it that. Although, I'll still catch myself calling any ride in that area by its Nick U name. So many great memories. I'm 25 today, so do the math, lol
  16. Be nice to bring The Beastie name back, however I don't see that likely, as with the name's connotation I think it would be viewed (obviously) as a kid's coaster. I strongly feel it won't be. It'd be a great name though.
  17. The funniest spieling I ever heard was on The Bat ('13 or '14, can't remember if before or after the name change) We were there after 10 for ERT, and we just kept re-riding it since there was hardly anyone there. (This was also before the asinine re-ride policy). The ride op kept changing the name of the coaster and the park, and even the park slogan, every time the ride dispatched. I know I'm easily amused, but it was hilarious. "Enjoy your ride on Top Gun here at Knotts berry farm!" "Enjoy your ride on Flight Deck here at Kings Dominioooon!" "The Fuuuun and Only" It was dumb, but it was late and I thought it was funny. I don't mind the spieling. I certainly understand how some people DO mind though.
  18. It makes sense. And It'll work very well with the terrain.

  20. Hey, that's my house you're talking about! Kidding. Wish I wasn't though.
  21. Eh, we'd love to see the maps updated on a regular basis, but if that was to happen everywhere, consistently, I'd think that would make it easier for those that wish to do us harm to plan out acts of terror. To have updated and recent satellite imagery easily available to anyone would be a security risk IMO.
