  1. Here’s a photo of Orion I took yesterday.
  2. Voyage is the only coaster that has me gasping for air and leaves my heart racing when it hits the final brake run. That's why I love it.Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk I completely agree about Voyage! I got to the final breaks and my eyes were watering as I was gasping for air! This proof that a Wooden Coaster, or Hybrid Wooden Coaster does not need inversions to be a great coaster!
  3. I just got back from a two day trip to Holiday World and Kentucky Kingdom. Raven, The Legend, and Voyage are all three amazing coasters. The re-tracking on Legend is amazing and so smooth along with the additional head chopping elements added that are on point. I personally would be thrilled if Kings Island got anything remotely like these three... speed, good drops, quick turns, air time, over banked turns.... all while secluded in the woods. Trees are abounding around thee three wooden coasters. Voayage is one amazing ride, I got off thinking, "what is the heck did I just experience." Just when you think the ride is over after some mid course breaks, you dive back down into a tunnel, and the last half of the ride is just as great as the first. It packs a punch from the first drop all the way back to the station. I rode Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom and while it was decent, I just wasn't that impressed. I am hoping for GCI or The Gravity group to come and build a one of a kind thrill buried deep in the woods of River Town.
  4. In response to the recent photos posted of all the trees being cut down over by the new entrance to WWC and Diamondback.... Does anyone get a sense that this path could also possibly be a new midway area with some new flats, or it might be the queue area/ station for the new coaster. I do hope they keep as many trees as possible back in the woods to increase that feeling of speed.
  5. From the looks of the layout, it does seem to mirror certain elements of GCI coasters. However, screamscape is reporting of an RMC makeover of Mean Streak. I know the legitimacy of screamscape can be questioned, but what if Cedar Fair went with a packaged deal, and we are in fact getting an RMC. I will be happy with whatever we get. We already have three pretty unique woodies, and I hope they will all still be around after Project 2017 is built. It will be fun to see all of the decoding now that we have some plans to keep us occupied until further clues are released.
  6. Long time KICentral reader (over ten years or more) first time poster. Every time a new project is on the way I throughly enjoy reading all the speculation. I live in Huntington, Wv and have been coming to Kings Island since I was in diapers! (Hanna Barbera Land, The Smurf Adventure, The Witches Cauldron, King Cobra, KCKC, riding Son of Beast with and without the loop, etc.) the list could go on! Many amazing memories. I applaud Cedar Fair for trying to bring back the park to its former glory! I feel blessed to have such a great park within a 2 1/2 hour drive. As far as the rumored to be wooden coaster, I'm pumped! Given the fact that the park is sparingly removing trees will only add to the sensation of speeding through the woods! Kings Island has what many parks do not... secluded, wooded land. I can't wait to go zipping past the trees, by the reservoir, through tunnels on our new CGI, RMC, or whatever we get. I'm just blessed we are getting what looks to be a coaster.
