  1. There is the rigging involved to ensure the angle of the track is close to what it needs to be for installation. They use the chain hoists to make small adjustments once they fly the piece in, but it need to be close to begin with.
  2. It's not taking too long, they have a schedule, and those cranes are crazy expensive, thousands per day. There is no reason to have it sitting there not working. The cranes needed will show up when they need to.
  3. Unfortunately i dont think there will be much color this year. It has been too hot, and dry.
  4. Looks like they are dumping gravel for the crane pad!
  5. The crane in that is in the parking lot, that will be used for coaster assembly, will be so large it is a job in of itself to assemble it. It will take them a few days, if not a week to assemble the crane, and get it ready to lift track.
  6. This may not have been planned for very long. Something could have come up in recent inspections, or something needed to be replaced for next year, that is no longer available.
  7. The yellow crane will be used to assemble the lift hill supports, while also unloading trucks!
  8. Have those lights always been on The Racer?
  9. I am going to say right around 110, you figure the normal flatbed trailer is 48 feet long, and the track pieces are roughly the same size, the track length is 5321÷48= 110 and some change. Now some track pieces could be slightly longer, or shorter, but 110 should be pretty close.
  10. Since the location of the track was unknown for about a day, I am wondering if there is another shop, on the way to the park, where they took it to have the guide wheels someone mentioned was installed, put on. I dont believe CSF does any type of assembly, they just build the track, and paint it.
  11. It is, what it is. Just not sure why they didn't take the opportunity to build a world record. Even throwing another element in before the brake run.
  12. Same here, have kiblog open, YouTube open, and a couple news stations in case the stream freezes up
  13. Sorry, just had this overwhelming feeling I was not going to find it, and miss it. Lol
  14. Just to double check, where is this going to be streamed?
  15. That should be 1 of 2 cranes on this project. This one will more likely be used to assemble a larger "truss boom" crawler crane, then once construction starts both cranes will be used.
  16. I don't think they will have a piece of track at the reveal, i dont see where they could place it.
  17. Track could very simply be sitting on the trailer back on one of the service roads.
  18. They use a smaller crane to simply unload the track, the crane parts in the parking lot is for a much larger crane used for assembly.
  19. I am sure they moved it into the park overnight!
  20. Page 396, and I remember way back on, I think around 40, the first blueprints leaked? Absolutely mind boggling!!!
  21. The clue Fox19 got to reveal was in the lock box.
  22. Man, I have seen the "Beast unleashed" video reposted on Facebook at least 5 times in the last 2 days. That thing really grabbed ahold!
  23. Not sure if this has been posted or not, but a fun fact for anyone that doesnt know, Hanger 18 is located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton OH.
  24. This is really making me wonder why not.
