  1. I would be willing to bet there will be plans filed with the city shortly for the footers, has anyone checked?
  2. Dont forget SOB station is still just sitting there!
  3. Has anyone been by Clermont County Steel Fabricators to see if there is any track starting to show up?
  4. I think i saw Fox19 is going to cover it.
  5. Yup, you are right. I don't think i have ever paid attention to the logo. lol
  6. This is interesting! Could be nothing, but to me the drawing of the coaster seems to represent the corkscrew of The Vortex as it passes through the loops, with the lift hill in the background going from bottom left, to top right. Again, could be nothing, and probably is, but that is what i see.
  7. Just to throw this in there, don't forget about those new footers that we're installed back by Vortex. They are obviously not for a new ride, but a coincidence that they are near The Vortex, and now they are removing a "big" coaster?
  8. So i quickly highlighted some things for my prediction. If they were to remove The Vortex, in red, they could place the station for a new coaster (Giga?) there and take it out and around the end of The Racer, in the yellow area, if they did not want it to interact with The Beast (obviously not saying a new coaster would all of that area). Another reason i believe this would be a likely option is i marked the main walkways in the area in green. With putting the station to a new coaster where The Vortex currently is puts the station on the " main loop" of the park's pathway. As you can see, and already know, the path that leads to Firehawk dead ends. If this is related to the rumored 2020 project i do not see them placing a possible world record breaking coaster (Giga?) at the end of a dead end path? Just some thoughts, hope my explanation makes sense.
  9. News outlets are reporting it is a coaster. I am going with Vortex leaving. With the "ItsBigItsGone" hashtag, Vortex is both, a physically large coaster, and the definition of the word Vortex is: "a mass of whirling fluid or air, especially a whirlpool or whirlwind. "we were caught in a Vortex of water" synonyms: whirlwind, cyclone, whirlpool, gyre, maelstrom, eddy, swirl, spiral; black hole "a whirling Vortex of smoke"
  10. I frequently read these forums, but never post, but after reading the legal documents posted over on Coaster Nation, mentioning the list of contractors including B&M, i am starting to think today's announcement will be announcing a phased project. If you have not looked over said documents i suggest you do. The part that stood out to me is Section 8: "Take notice that labor or work is about to begin on or materials are about to be furnished" this is followed by exhibit A which has all of the surveying coordinates (bunch of mubo jumbo to me, but might make sense to some) So i believe today will announce a Racer refirb, addition of antique cars, and some hinting at a large project getting ready to start (B&M GIGA) which land preparation will be begin for soon, and last through next season, with the coaster opening in 2020. That is my guess anyways!
  11. They are probably just parking it there while it is not needed, once they build some more bents they will probably move it forward and install them. The they will move the crane past where the bents are being assembled, then turn and continue building the lift hill, and the cross over, then that part of the coaster will be complete, and the crane will be on the "outside".
  12. Going back to what i pointed out earlier in this thread, that hill we are looking at, after the drop, is a lot steeper than in the POV video.
  13. I know there is method to the madness, but the way they are building this just doesnt make sense in my brain. You have the area we can see from the web cam almost ready for a train, and still have clearing in other places. The way my brain works is, do the clearing, pour the footers, get the structure to its final height, add the track and so on.
  14. i just watched an update video on youtube of the construction, and it looks the same as i described above. @:41 second mark!
  15. is it just me, or anyone else think the last bents installed are angling up awfully high? In the POV animation it is fairy flat after the drop, what they are building looks like it goes up a pretty steep hill? Maybe its just me.
  16. Could someone please highlight the "198", I can't see it. Lol
  17. This is going to have something unique, i dont see them teasing, and having a big announcement for a small "beastie" size coaster.
  18. The thing that has me really curious is the lake crossing, and with the amount of footers required for a wooden coaster, that is a lot of pilings that will have to be installed across the reservoir. I dont think this will be a normal wooden coaster!
  19. someone should check for updated blueprints if they are able.
  20. Those look like "pads" they use under machinery to spread out the weight to avoid the machine from getting stuck.
  21. It very well could be to place around one of the holes that they drill? Also this does appear to be a retaining wall, but what would they be retaining? It doesnt appear to be support for a access road or anything because of how far they are sticking out of the ground. I am beginning to wonder if these supports will be for something going over the train? Tunnel? something to enhance the train experience, also while providing something for the new ride?
  22. i was thinking the " picnic table" kind of looks like a drafting table, where the workers would lay out the blue prints, but now not so sure with the upright structure?
