Saw it yesterday and loved it! Both of my kids (8 and 5) walked out saying they wished Phantom Theater was still there and not Boo Blasters. They loved the “moving” busts and looking at all the old images and layouts in the lobby. I first learned Hootie (aka Darius Rucker) was a black man while waiting in line for The Beast. [emoji23][emoji2370] it’s a completely random fact, but anytime I see old music videos playing on the TVs while in line, I remember it and smile. My other Beast memory is how on my first ride, I came up about half an inch short at the front height meter. The worker looked at my parents and whispered “go get some napkins and stuff them in her heels and come back” ... my parents looked at each other and said “okay let’s go” [emoji23] so off to La Rosas we went ... napkins were acquired and placed in the heels of my shoes, and I cleared the bar. I vividly remember my dad pushing my lap bar down as far as it would go, and telling me to hold on tight .. I replied with a hearty “no way. Hands up!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I used to love going to Winterfest as a kid with my family. We have many pictures of us with Santa (KI Santa was always cooler than mall Santa) and I have memories of ice skating on the Boulder Bumpers (now Joe Cool Dodgem School) rink. Hopefully it will be a big hit and worth the drive and cold!

Carnival rides have always given me the creeps because of the fact they are packed up and carted around and then set back up for a few days. I prefer my rides to have a more permanent structure lol
