  1. It is Beast Gal's machine gun nest! Her husband designed it prior to deciding which lucky gal to marry. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  2. I am so excited for Mystic Timbers. Kings Island is my second home park. My wife and I discussed this while on a trip to Carowinds. We are so blessed to have Cedar Point as our home park and have the beautiful Kings Island only 3.5 hours away. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. Alot of people enjoy Magnum for its ejector airtime. It is the real deal. It is a roller coaster that is approaching being 30 years old. It was the very first in the world hyper coaster, and is a serious landmark. It started the coaster wars that now exist to build the biggest and fastest best ride known to mankind. It should not be compared to modern rollercoasters such as Diamondback, which I love by the way. Comparing coasters of different generations is not fair. Most "rollercoaster enthusiasts" would say that The Voyage at holiday world is a far superior coaster to The Beast. I would say that these enthusiasts are not taking into account the age or history of The Beast. See, The Beast is approaching 40 years old and the Voyage isn't even 10 yet. What The Beast did for rollercoasters was revolutionary. What the Voyage did was perhaps improve on this slightly and it took 30 years. Apples to apples friends. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

  6. Terp claims (I don't doubt him, but have never seen a link to proof either) that he mentioned the name Banshee roughly a full year prior to its announcement. Being so early, he claims it went almost completely unnoticed, except by Don.As mentioned, the name was trademarked early in the season, so it was out there as a possibility that many had in mind, but those speculating weren't sure if it was really for KI's project or not. CF had trademarked it prior, and was ready to call a ride (Raptor?) by that name before some backlash led them down a different track. It was Mantis that was supposed to be called Banshee.Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  7. We can all rest assured that whatever this ride turns out to be, a family coaster or an absolute monster coaster, that Cedar Fair will greatly improve the beauty of the park and add to the area it goes in to. All of Cedar Fairs recent major additions have added midways or had awesome modifications to midways that really added to the enjoyment of the park. I am expecting something pretty spectacular on this front.
  8. That does not appear to have been painted, most likely just primered.
  9. My favorite part of KI is that they have the ability to naturally have their coasters take a path through the woods and hills. Cedar Point does not have that. I hope the next coaster built at KI really utilizes the terrain well. If they do build a giga, I think it would be sweet if most of it is really low to the ground following the first couple of hills, or a multi lift would be sweet as well. A giga with a second lift hill like Beast has would be epic. Probably cost too many $'s though.
  10. KI also doesn't have a Dive Machine or a world class Multi Launch terrain coaster (which has terrible capacity).
  11. Mean Streak with an RMC treatment would be incredible. The Texas Giant went from being a giant piece of crap to a top 30 roller coaster.
  12. We are agreed on this with the exception of Diamondback being Greater than Magnum. Both are beautiful rides that I love. I will give a slight edge to the Magnum due to it being 20 Years older and the very first of the hyper coasters and every bit as good of a layout as Diamondback. The Banshee is only slightly better than Raptor IMO. KI has no answer for Valravn, Rougarou, Maverick, or Gatekeeper. This is just my opinion, but I feel that the middle of CP's coaster lineup is far superior. I love both parks and hope that they continue to add coasters!
  13. Perhaps if CP doesn't build anything, but not likely. I have a feeling that CP will be getting a couple more major installs/ refurbishments over the next couple of years. If they would RMC Mean Streak (or tear it down) that would be a huge addition to the park. They will also most likely be building something spectacular for their 150th anniversary. The only area where CP really comes up short is Wooden Coasters. Beast is one of the finest in the country. I would say that Blue Streak is equal to Racer IMO. The kids woody at KI is awesome. I would say that the 2 parks will be close at the top of their lineups if KI installs a B&M giga, but CP will still be much stronger in the middle of their lineup.
  14. A giga at KI would be awesome and I hope that is what is coming! I just can't see how that would push KI past CP.
  15. New poster, I enjoy your forum. I find all of the hate toward Cedar Point funny. CP and KI are my 2 favorite parks, but for anyone to say that the coaster collection at KI is even remotely comparable to CP is ludicrous.
