  1. I wonder why they are taking so long to put Zeus together as they will have 2 other cranes to assemble. Do you think they are working on the brake run so they have space to build the cranes?
  2. Wait... a maze called blackout was very dark?!?! Who would’ve expected that???
  3. Let’s just settle on Max as the big one and call the other ones by colors yellow and white. This is all getting way to confusing!
  4. I drove by the park earlier today to see if there was additional crane items in the parking lot. There was a huge white crane with its boom extended holding a red piece. It was hard to tell what is sitting there as it slopes down a bit. The crane is close to the entry area by GWL.
  5. I have a feeling that somebody has a new poster for their bedroom wall [emoji1787]
  6. Based on those photos it looks like they are staging the next lift hill supports. It will be interesting to see how they install this as it will be multiple support pieces bolted together.
  7. From looking off the blueprints, they have 5 more track pieces that will need to be installed before the top of the lift. That equates to 2 large bolted pieces and 1 regular piece of lift track. It looks as though they have begun placing the wood down on the gravel pad area. We might see this pad ready by the end of the day or early tomorrow.
  8. I would think Cedar Fair would want to get a statement out on this issue in the near future. This will definitely not help with 2020 season passes if they let this roll on throughout the rest of haunt and winterfest without a response.
  9. Just saw this today and hope this does not go through! Edit: Here is a link to the Reuters article https://www.reuters.com/article/us-cedar-fair-m-a-sixflags-exclusive/exclusive-six-flags-in-bid-to-acquire-cedar-fair-sources-idUSKBN1WH1ZA
  10. That area they were digging on definitely looks to be a pad where our crane will go. It looks perfectly smoothed out. via wildgravitytravels
  11. Remember that last year when Firehawk was announced they told us the decision was made during the summer. Clearly that was a lie. I also don’t think this is due to a structural issue. Why would they continue to run Vortex throughout haunt if it wasn’t structurally safe?
  12. I doubt they do anything more than connect the pieces today. The straps that are on the track are both toward the middle and are not in a spot where you would want to lift into place.
  13. First lift hill piece is installed and cranes have detached.
  14. I don’t think we will see anything significant on the lift hill or drop until we get two large cranes assembled there. I wonder if the crane is being put together back behind the trees where they have been storing all the track. Fury’s lift and drop required 3 of those large cranes.
  15. I think we haven’t seen any additional construction because they are ahead of schedule and taking advantage of the nice weather to get everything organized. We haven’t had rain for 18 days and they seem in no rush for vertical construction.
  16. You can see the base of the lift footer here. The next piece added to the front would be the start of the lift hill.
  17. Here is a good Fury 325 construction time lapse. Looks like they completed the brake run before the lift hill. I would expect to see the same here.
  18. I enjoyed watching the MT cam when it was being built. It was right on top of the lift hill and you could see every bent going up in great detail.
  19. Am I the only one that is wishing for a better camera placement? You can barely make out anything they are working on. I feel like they cheaped out by just turning the Banshee cam.
  20. I saw this little support waiting for some track
  21. Question... Don says those are maintenance platform columns. Are those for the transfer track?
  22. Wild gravity travels update from yesterday
  23. I think it would be cool for at night time if they had LED lights forming the Orion constellation between two of the lift supports. Another idea would be to have LED lights at night strung from a wire throughout the entire course. To give you the sense that you’re flying through the stars. Lastly, a permanent impact crater or two off the side of the ride line would be pretty cool. Lots they could do to theme this up nicely!
  24. Thank you for using one of your 5 posts to enlighten us all on what the definition of a Giga coaster is. We can all rest easy now that we’ve read your great contribution to the community.
  25. Does anybody know if and when we will get a construction camera?
