  1. The Beast down all day 5/24

Anyone know why The Beast was done all day yesterday? I was really hoping to get my first rides on the updates but unfortunately it was down all day. Thanks for any updates on this!!

  2. I saw this video

about a surf coaster for Sea World opening possibly in 2021 and they have received some track so guess Clermont is busy on the coaster and others and with our focus no longer on the track factory, lots of stuff could be underway. Wished I lived closer and I would drive by for a look see. Hint hint. While I don’t want to seem ungrateful for our new coaster, it is always fun to dream about a possible new B&M “blitz-type” multi launch for The Vortex plot of land in the future. Of course we have to get this dreaded COVID wiped out so we can get our world back functioning once again.

I love the awesome lights on this thing, how was the IMAscore soundtrack and audio for the ride? Heard part but not all.

  4. Also after going forward there is an operator shack.  I remember because I always used to wave to the ride op as we started going backwards!  Loved that ride!

Not very forceful to my memory.

It felt so neat to be pushed forward and then you floated going over the edge. I can remember it clearly!

  5. 400 riders per hour, I think the worst part of that ride is probably walking up all those stairs.

Yes I remember climbing those stairs. Glad I was young because it took some effort.

  6. My guess is they are assembling a crawler crane to install the 200 foot turnaround. Putting that together along with the wood platform took a week or two for the drop. I remember earlier there was a Facebook post from the crane company saying they would use one back there.

What is the crane companies name so I can look on FB about any info? Thanks!

  7. I tried DT at 255 and I am 6 ft and the bar would not come all the way down to lock so I took the WOS as well. They really need to adjust the locking piece to allow for more to ride but at least I was able to ride everything else just fine. That was two years ago when I tried to ride DT but was at the park this year and rode everything else. I am now down to 208 so I should fit now but that one WOS helped to motivate me to work hard on my weight loss. I love Kings Island and amusement parks more than most anything else and to be limited wasn’t something I wanted to accept for too long. I also tried Wicked Twister and was walking the walk there as well!!  Keep working hard to make a difference!

  8. Yeah, I've already had several co-workers tell me that watching a construction cam is like watching paint dry. It takes a very special breed, and by special I mean awesome, to do what we do!

The major intense love we feel for our new baby!! Haha

  9. I was just thinking that. Our current view looks to be enough for the lift hill and brake run... we don't get to see the rest of it!

Only until Six and his pilot or Captain Nemo make spy plane flights when the time comes!

  10. Tbh I think it would've been better if they moved the MT cam instead and name the webcams around the area it's facing. Like Action Zone Cam, or Rivertown Cam, and Coney Mall cam.

I like that thought. Hope about have all the cams in the ET and just point them out where needed! Happy we can see live action!!

  11. I know but the road they use to bring track and equipment is in sight.   It is the area where we saw the first piece of track coming in the other day.

Got it, just hard to keep my eyes on the screen waiting, if we had some proximity sensors set up we would know when to look. Haha

  12. you have a psuedo one now if you watch the Banshee cam

But that is already built, I want to see new stuff going up big time! It would be nice if they had several cams because of large layout but any will be a great start. Come on September!!

  13. Still can't wait for  the web cam! lol I wish I loved closer so I could see this on the roads lol

I agree, track on the trailers looks good because it is finally headed to KI, also can’t wait for a construction cam that I can keep up on my desktop at work.

  14. IM assuming those numbers are if the coaster is running to its max. I feel like Diamondback often has all three trains stacked, which would decrease its hourly capacity. I'm assuming that DB does not get 1620 per hour over the past few years bc of the length of time it has been taking to dispatch the trains. I think a lot of it has to do with the bins to be honest.

I agree because everyone has to stroll over and deposit their goods and I understand you don’t want to be paying all the time for a locker but I try to travel lightly while in the park if possible.

  15. I agree that it would be tough to see it come down. Far worse than Firehawk. I, like some, have “retired” from the ride - but I come out of retirement for special occasions. If they were to replace it with a dive it would be kind of a “meh” trade off, but I would fully support something like Copperhead Strike.

    Or an Intimin blitz!
