  1. Just tried it it makes a shape similar to Australia, so no it doesn't. in other news Orion will not be visible in the sky August 15th.
  2. ok I thought I'd throw a little bit into the mix. I did a quick search on the states (what I presume they are) that appeared within the posters for UFO sightings and got this. South Dakota : 34 Idaho: 11 Arizona: 6 New Mexico: 7 Nevada: 13 Kansas: 23 Oklahoma: 28 not sure if they'd mean anything but I did notice when placing Arizona and New Mexico together got 67 (obviously) which I thought was the rumored ride time after the lift, so if these numbers are true for anything they might help or I might be working up a wild conspiracy theory.
  3. 1. Refurb of racer. (paint, lighting, possible new trains) 2. Antique cars. 3. new flat ride (gerstlauer sky roller) I've been guessing that racer was getting some work this season and I think this is it. now I have also guessed that Coney mall was also due for some work and it seems perfect to do these at the same time. I chose to pick a sky roller for this area because of this photo (below) and the closest thing I can compare to zodiac is a sky roller. this photo basically locked up my guess.
  4. I personally can't wait to see what is up with Mean Streak, the last time I rode I came off with some sore arms (considering I was holding on for dear life as I didn't want to be split in half from the ride). personally if it is a RMC (hybrid) I think you'll see something new and off kilter, if its a GCI or any other woodie manufacturer your going to get a huge "super" twister airtime mixed ride, BUT if it's this way they WILL need to break a huge record of some sort, what I have no clue. my last idea is there is a T-rex track coming to the point and there will be a huge woodie going in the StR spot (most likely 2020). just my ideas.
  5. perhaps its a 4D experience with the vines and wind making it have a spooky and haunting theme to it as if the woodland has decided to "claim" you and the other passengers of the train, would be an interesting idea to see if they could do something like that.
  6. I'm going to say RMC because of all the markers I've seen like these. (I've seen two of these both fairly close)
  7. my guess Racer repaint and restore (LED's up the lift and original 1972 colors) Coney mall revamp (new sign pathwork etc...) Small flat ride ( one of the new Enterprises or a Zierer Star shape) Example: (the star shape is a bit different from a standard Frisbee (360 rotation and rotating seats) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pvslg5Km5p4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUdeyc1GdEw
  8. personally can't wait to see this ride, it looks great! also can't wait to see #WhatsInTheShed!
  9. i think your fairly close here. this is my guess: Height: 122 Ft drop: 118 Ft Speed: 58 Mph Inversions: 1 overbanks : 2 ride time: 2:21 Track length: 3,088 Ft Manufacturer: GG
  10. when I see this teaser and countdown I thought immediately an enchanted forest style. so I went and searched enchanted creatures and found two really interesting ones in Satyr and Manticore. anyone else agree either of these could fit? also ironically they are both hybrid type creatures (not assuming just pointing it out)
  11. Hmmmm the only thing I have been picking up from this is the baseball references especially this last one, and what is the only baseball team that would fit a theme like this is the Texas Rangers. not only that "it's not easy being green" I think references to Park rangers of Ohio, after all they use a lot of green on the vehicles and uniforms. another thing Park rangers use axes to clear roadways. Am I right?
  12. just looked up the definition for Tomahawk and here's what I found, (via dictionary.com) noun 1. a light ax used by the North American Indians as a weapon and tool. 2. any of various similar weapons or implements. 3. (in Australia) a stone hatchet used by the Aborigines.
  13. when I look at the twine / rope or what ever it is it makes me think of a tomahawk, or a single handed axe (hatchet) maybe we're thinking something more to a native American theme? in fact even just the twine makes me believe it's a native American theme. Example: Native American Kings Island tease
  14. this is for the one who Still don't get the difference between RMC wooden and RMC steel hybrid coasters https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7jzb5DYKqs (skip to 7:25 for explanation) I still like Lokie to be honest, it has the logging idea and the train theme mixed into one
  15. If I am tossing my hat into the name game I'm going for Lokie or something to do with a windthrow This is a Lokie This is a Windthrow this kind of looks similar to their twitter pic of "Falling trees" that they are constantly posting Personally I'd like to see something themed around a train and Lokie would be a perfect fit because of it being a Logging train (would also be a cool lead car)
  16. Ok I'm looking at some plans (no I didn't buy any I found some stuff online) and looking at some of the stuff on them I think we might see a steel structure with a GG woodie. I have a few reasons why. 1: the supports don't come out far on some of the areas (such as the turns) 2: if you look a some of the recent stuff GG has been doing they have began to make their supports much more narrow (ideal stuff for the terrain) 3: maybe a low turnaround? (maybe a Switchback style?)
  17. I get what you saying but I haven't said once that this would be a dual tracked ride I was just claiming general amounts. that is my bad I should have explained myself a bit. Hourly capacity is actually a great hypothetical to run upon to get a baseline of how good/ bad a ride is on getting people through the queue. Example a smaller park can work quite well with a ride that runs 675 riders an hour, yet a park like KI would suffer a bit with a hourly capacity like this (unless it is a kiddie coaster). I also did show a capacity for Wodan Timbur Coaster and It can do 1,250 an hour with 3 trains and 24 passengers
  18. GCI aren't that bad on capacity around anywhere from 850 to 1,750 an hour 24 ppl a train so not a B&M but not bad overall What GCI is getting anywhere close to 1700 that isn't a racing coaster? I was only using a general range of all GCI's not just the single tracked rides. For example Joris en de Draak at Efteling can hold 1,750 riders an hour with 4 trains and 24 passengers. on the other hand Wodan Timbur Coaster is the largest single track GCI woodie and It can do 1,250 an hour with 3 trains and 24 passengers. my guess is that they will want to run around this amount to get the best results. (FYI a Gravity group woodie will run anywhere from 700 to 1,200 based upon what train they decide to use obviously voyage uses PTC trains and so it can run 1,200 riders an hr where Cu Chulainn runs 700 with the timberliners. The more you know!)
  19. GCI aren't that bad on capacity around anywhere from 850 to 1,750 an hour 24 ppl a train so not a B&M but not bad overall
  20. This topic, man I've gotten some laughs at this topic, but back on to the subject. When Ghostrider was redone was there markers on the footers of the ride when it was being redone? another note please can we remember Gravity group just because they don't do a ton of ride doesn't mean that they won't come in and do this project, I mean come on they what, 15 min. away? Lets be honest though, Dinosaurs Alive was a huge mistake for Cedar Fair in general, in fact the ones at CP are almost overgrown and lost in the foliage around them, I don't know about the ones at KI but they can't be much better. My official guess is KI gets a GG woodie for 2017 and CP gets the first swing at RMC (yes I'm saying RMC will get a project of this size done for 2017 for a few reasons, 1: they are quite masterful at doing their work and getting it done on time 2: RMC seems to like the larger wooden rides to convert, just look at NTG, TC, and MedusaSC they are massive rides! yeah I get it I was all over in this post but I had to put my 2 cents into it again.)
  21. Someone made a good point on the Coasterforce forums saying that the support trusses look more like a style similar style to Voyage or RFII both of which are GG coasters.
  22. Actually they aren't considering the size of this project. for example Timer at walibi was just over $4.7 Mil and its only 55 FT tall, there is also Roar-O-Saurus which is even smaller and its and airtime machine! going a little bit bigger we have Ravine Flyer II and its $6 mil for a medium sized woodie. I do think this is going to be a rather interesting ride if it is by any of the three manufacturers (RMC,GCI,GG) it may get me back to KI and get some rides on this and The Beast. (also BTW Voyage was only $8.5 Mil and that's a monster of a ride)
  23. yes CF has no relationship with RMC but were are we getting this idea of RMC having a somewhat spotty track record? the only time I have heard anything about a problem with RMC was with new Texas Giant and that was a train issue (still a Gerstlaurer train too). I don't mind a GCI but this blueprint seems a little copy paste from Prowler, I'm guessing a woodie but something a little bigger than a prowleresque (that's a word right?) wooden coaster. only time will tell. another note what happened to Gravity group being a possibility?
