Interesting that CP is still able to maintain their Von Roll 38 years later with little apparent difficulty. Has better uptime than WindSeeker as well. I loved the one at SFSTL as a kid and always ride it at CP at least once.

So it is the stack that determines if a coaster is classified as wood? If coaster used steel bents but used topper track would you still consider it a woodie?

Beleive I originally created my account on my phone. You should be able to link the account to your husband’s pass as well, though you might need the assistance of a booth associate. I was poking around the FunPix web site the other day making sure all my photos were downloaded and came across a page to link other passes to the account however my attempts at linking my boys passes were unsuccessful, but I had just renewed so maybe the info wasn’t committed to the database yet.

Exactly. Probably a smart financial move as well becuase if you can win the prize you probably have a number of basketballs at home anyway so are likely to get tired of lugging it around and just leave it somewhere. Recycle the prizes.

I think the low frame rate of the gif makes it look faster. Comparing to the animation it does appear to be slightly faster. But they claim 74mph and that is where I assume it hits it. 74mph is fast.

They could put 20 more in the park for all I care as long as they handed out deflated basketballs.

Some WALL-E style loungers on conveyor belts would be perfect for a que. In fact I think the La-z-boy coaster concept is something that needs to be fleshed out. We don’t go to movies anymore with old crappy hard seats. No. We expect comfort. The same should apply to coasters. They already have the stadium style seating thing down with Dback, now we just need to insist on cushy leather seating and restraints. And they need to be adjustable to fit our preferred style of riding.

Only been there once but most of the duct work as I remember was inflatable plastic so there shouldn’t be to much of the metal stuff to inspect and fortify if necessary. Inam really surprised this happened because everything looked very clean and well maintained, including the theming. And as we know some companies completely fail at maintaining theming.

I would sure hope you could get in for ERT sure would be petty of CF to not allow that for an employee. Your plan seems rather solid but if you do get ERT I would maybe push a little farther towards CP so you can get there no later than 8:30 AM for 9:00AM ERT. If you are looking to do Steel Vengeance for ERT note last year they started blocking parking in the morning for the CPS (back) lot, so you will need to park up front and hoof it to the Marina or Resort Gate to get closer to SV. The new boardwalk on the beach is supposed to go all the way back, but I haven’t seen it yet and is probably still under construction. Also for your approach to CP I would let Google Maps pick the route for you and do not follow all the “Cedar Point This Way” signs. They will likely add 15-20 minutes to the route. I come up from Columbus and take route 4 all the way into downtown Sandusky and then hang a right on 1st Street and take that all the way to the causeway. Here is a sketch of the route I made last year for someone. Edit: if you don’t already know this start in the back half CP in the morning and hold off on the front 1/2 of the park until after lunch. I have seen 1.5 hour lines for Raptor and GateKeeper in the mornings to see them turn to station waits by mid afternoon.

Assuming you have Gold/platinum passes, check the back. If there is a QR code then just hand that to the gate photographer and they will take a pic of that and it will automatically be loaded onto your account. Otherwise they will hand you a business card to take to any FunPix booth to scan and load on your account. I suggest waiting an hour or so for the photos to upload to the system. The booths up by the front will upgrade your SP with the new QR code for free. Don’t forget to rescan your SP into the KI app/digital wallet. Made that mistake last year and had some minor issues trying to get into CP when I forgot my passes, though they fixed it for me.
