  1. I forgot about this. PTC made a train called PTC-360 which can go upside down but I'd doubt anyone would use them since GCI, RMC, and GG all make their own trains now and PTC hasn't built an original roller coaster since Screamin Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis unless you count the Ghoster Coaster at Canada's Wonderland which is just a clone of Woodstock Express.
  2. I think the only time they use it is for Halloweekends during October so as far as I know they don't use it for anything else
  3. Just think...that clip above was made when Kings Island was under construction. Hey, maybe this new "attraction" will be themed to the early 70's - when Kings Island was built! Only music from the early 70's would be played! Maybe it will actually be called "Carpenters"...carpenters do work with wood, after all... I would love to have songs from the early seventies play in the queue Especially this one
  4. Don't forget... They also removed the tunnel on the first drop.
  5. Quite clever how they just slapped Six Flags Great Adventure on the front of the trains and put the camera at an angle so that you need a real good eye to tell that it's The Racer. Still I wish The Racer had its color scheme from the seventies. Red White and Blue is way better than fading White
  6. I could see that happening now that you mention it. I don't ride Congo Falls much because I think White Water Canyon and RFYLCB are way better water rides
  7. Donkey Kong throws barrels Donkey Kong is a Ape Goku can transform into a Ape Goku starts with a G Gravity Group also starts with a G Gravity Group was founded by former CCI employees CCI was founded by former Dinn Corp. Employees Dinn Corp. was founded by Charlie Dinn Charlie Dinn worked on The Beast The Beast opened in 1979 Pink Floyd released The Wall in 1979 Pink Floyd performed in Cincinnati on April 23, 1972 Kings Island opened six days later on April 29, 1972 six divided by two is three the Illuminati Symbol has three sides so Kings Island is Illuminati Confirmed I'm sorry I just HAD to do it when I saw this post

  9. Are you serious! Do the GP really not know/ too afraid to do that.
  10. Thank you and yeah you're right I sometimes think Vortex may be next as it is one of the rougher less popular attractions nowadays
  11. Do you have photographic evidence that they used photos of The Racer in early Rolling Thunder promo's
  12. I've sometimes thought to myself "Which ride will not make it in the next 5-10 years" Since I can't think of what ride could be next on the chopping block I would like to know "Which ride do you think KI will retire in the next 5-10 years."
  13. If this is a small gci I feel for the public relations team for the park. Hyping a coaster since the Waterpark announcement last year and it turn out to be a small run of the mill wood coaster. Not all GCI's are run of the mill some are actually quite thrilling. I'd even say that American Thunder, Renegade and Prowler are the best in their parks. Now this seems like a fantastic wooden roller coaster!
  14. The brake shed is no longer able to completely stop a train. So the only places a train can be held are both lift and the station. Remember The Beast was designed to run with 4 trains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Does it still run four trains or is it three trains now
  15. Hello I'm a lurker and I'd like to put in some toughts regarding sizes. When it comes to modern day wooden roller coasters you've got three choices: GCI, RMC, and The Gravity Group (aka Gravitykraft according to some rcdb pages) When it comes to size Gravity Group has usually built really longer bigger wooden roller coasters that are for the most part out and back, rides like The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Hades 360, and Switchback. These are roller coasters are more long than wide but GG has made smaller roller coasters in a twister layout like Roar-O-Saurus, Boardwalk Bullet, Timber, Wooden Warrior, and Zippin Pippin. RMC on the other hand have made their woodies BIG just look at how much space Lightning Rod, Outlaw Run and Wildfire take up large plots of land meanwhile Goliath at Six Flags Great America is a bit smaller and by that I mean it's one of the shortest in length despite being very tall. GCI on the other hand builds smaller twister style woodies. Exaples would be American Thunder, Apocalypse, Gold Striker, Kentucky Rumbler, White Lightning, Renegade, Prowler, both Roar's, Thunderhead, and Wildcat. Although they have built larger roller coaster than this, Gwazi, Joris en de Draak, Python in Bamboo Forest, Wodan Timbur Coaster, and Lightning Racer are examples of this. What could fit back there? Any of them. But based on recent findings it looks like a small GCI but we can't be sure till the park itself announces a new roller coaster.
