  1. Thread Police are more annoying than the people they are calling out. Everybody is excited about this coaster. Comments veering slightly off center make this thread interesting. Especially since there is only so much to work with as far as "decoding" right now. If it's even slightly relevant, I want to hear it. Love the comedy posts in this thread as well. Many of us can use it:)
  2. Here's the POV of Shambhala. Read some of the comments on youtube for this coaster. Seems like people are beyond impressed. A taller version of this could be magnificent. EDIT: Shambhala is only # 45 in 2018 Golden Ticket awards. Diamondback is #10.
  3. I was just talking about lift hills. This coaster is 249 ft.
  4. It's a B&M coaster as well. KI would need to be at least 50 ft. taller than this to avoid the hyper category.
  5. I don't mean that kind of launched coaster. A launched coaster that uses the launch speed flies down the drop and continues through a full layout. Not a Kingda Ka, TTD type of coaster. Doesn't Lightning Rod use a launch up a big lift hill?
  6. A launched Giga would be insane right? Haha!
  7. HotWheels Flyer 2.5 I rode it! The picture doesn't do it justice.
  8. 2020 going to be a great year. This coaster is only the second most important thing I'm looking forward to. Can't talk about the first, but lets just say that Canada's Wonderland could become my main park if it doesn't happen.
  9. Why would somebody think 335 is sad? lol
  10. Anybody remember if any footings were poured before the official announcement of Mystic Timbers? I was all over that decoding thread, but hard for me to recall. I do remember all that work over by WWC close to the train tracks.
  11. I think this would be great music for a "mysterious" type coaster.
  12. So you're saying Kings Island is "on the map"?
  13. Looks like I have the place to myself now. lol
  14. Here is a 300 ft drop with 85 degree vertical angle. Still really impressive.
  15. Pretty sure KI would get crushed if they build a 290 ft hyper coaster or something. If it's a giga, would they really keep it below 310 just so MF can retain the title of tallest giga in Ohio?
  16. It was the footings correct?
  17. Another steel hyper just over from the previous steel hyper going the same direction makes ZERO sense right? Doesn't that fact pretty much guarantee this will be in giga category?
  18. No way would KI design a coaster JUST short of 300 feet. I would bet the house on it.
  19. Who needs the coaster then?
  20. I'll take height and intensity over length every single time....
  21. He also said talk in the industry is that the new Kings Island coaster will be about 5,000 feet long and run at speeds of up to 93 miles per hour. I can live with that. Especially if this thing ends up being 355.
  22. The reason I asked is because this new KI giga is likely to surpass I305 at the very least. Will still be an awesome ride even if it doesn't break length records.
  23. I rode it 11 times in one day right after it first opened. I'm happy with any Giga going into KI. 300 ft. drop is never anything to scoff at.
  24. Anybody who has ridden Intimidator305 want to give your thoughts for those of us who haven't?
