  1. Rode Delirium a few times last week. Anyone noticing a pretty strong "shimmy"? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. A group of us stopped to eat at Juke Box Diner yesterday (6/27) at about 5PM. Awful. Food was cold. Service was downright rude. ALL FOUR freestyle machines were out of ice (on a very cool day). Two of the machines were down entirely. Ridiculous. Employees just standing around. 4 hours later we had Larosa's on International Street. Very good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This apparently happened again today, at around 2PM. Becoming quite the issue for KI and Duke. Hope they can figure it out soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Last year they played it on the carousel in Planet Snoopy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hit the traffic on 71 at 4:00PM. Into parking lot at 5PM. Through front gate by 5:30PM. Waited 30 minutes for a drink at Freestyle over by Burrito joint. Then 30 minutes for food at Potato Works by train. Sat down and ate, people watched, then entered MT line at 7:30PM. 4 hour wait. Ride was down on two separate occasions in that time, for about 30 minutes each. Loved the ride tho. Worth the wait for my group. Had a blast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Probably around 1989, I was with my cousin playing around in the arcade over by the Zephyr. We walked over to that bowling ball game, and there was this dad playing next to his son. The dad tried it about 3 times and lost. He was really upset because he wanted to win something for his son. The son, who was probably around 7 years old, said "Daddy, let me try." The dad tried to explain how hard it was, and how heavy the ball was, etc. Eventually the dad caved and let the kid have a shot. First try: BOOOM! Nailed it. A perfect try. Great technique. Like a pro. But that wasn't the crazy thing. The dad let him try again. This time the kid closed his eyes when he pushed the ball. BOOOM! Again! Twice in a row. The dad was hollering and the worker kid was hollering. I was hollering. It was amazing. Of course, the kid had to try a third time, to get the biggest prize. By now, a crowd had gathered. Probably 25-30 people. The "guess your weight" barker was even into it. The kid grabs the ball, turns his head around to look at his dad (who was behind him) and said "got it" as he pushed the ball. BOOOOOOOM!!! Crowd went crazy. High fives. Strangers hugging. The dad picked up the kid in his arms. I may have cried. The kid picked the big prize (a bear or something) and they walked off. Incredible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'm sitting 3rd row with my 3 year old daughter for the last show. She loved it last time. It has been such a fun year at KI. #blessed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Maybe not the right place to post, but we were down at the Gaslight District on Ludlow and stopped by a store with a very cool display on the front window of some old KI pics. Worth checking out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Haha true. But those specific issues have also been officially discussed by KI, notably in this video at the 1:26:20 mark:https://youtu.be/3qXCFVrzXuE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm somewhat happy about this. I've been a season pass holder since 1982-ish as a kid, and I remember WF from back then. It was cool as long as weather cooperated. The problem was it seemed like it was often too cold for families (little ones) or too warm for the ice skating. But when the weather was just right (maybe one weekend per year, based on faulty memory haha) it was real fun. I'd rather have a few more flat rides, but I hope this is a success and makes the park a lot of cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Speaking of the Flying Eagles, i found this pic recently. My sister and cousin, circa 1982. What a ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Haha nice pics. We actually saw you guys in The Beast station (I commented on someone's MT shirt). A great day to ride at KI. Place was darn near empty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Spent all day at KI yesterday (THU, 8/11). Place was a ghost town. Every que save Firehawk and Backlot (10 minute wait) was empty all day. It was a lot of fun. Almost like we had the park to ourselves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Good info, thanks! What is the price difference between passes? (How many trips to "break even" on the parking?) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You don't need a platinum if you are going to just go to CP. Just get a CP season pass and save a lot of cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I haven't done the ERT thing before (slacker). How are the lines for those 30 minutes, typically? On a weekday? Do they let you through gate at 9:30AM? Or earlier? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Henry, you mean?(He's stated that he's in favor of a reworking of the ride, as long the "Mean Streak" name lives on in some way.) Yes haha. Thanks. Henry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I feel bad for Harry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Speaking of passes, I came across my first KI season pass, from 1982. Haha. Just my pic, along with a hand-written "King's Island" next to it. Nothing on the back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. "unique each time you ride" is interesting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. You can. http://blog.livestream.com/blog/2015/4/9/cast-away-with-livestream-and-chromecastLiveStream is a top notch service for online streaming video. It looks like their app also can AirPlay to Apple TV and works with Roku. Beautiful. Thanks! I am downloading the app now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I'd like to watch the reveal on YouTube so that I can Chromecast the vid onto the big TV. Not sure I can do that with LiveStream without hooking up the PC. #firstworldcoasterjunkieprobz Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I say yes, to a degree. I am 39 years old and have always lived within 30 minutes of KI, and pretty much always had a season pass (tho they lost me a bit during the Paramount years). Being able to go several times each summer takes some (but not all) luster away. I guess I experience what you describe with annual trips to Cedar Point or Holiday World, etc. Where you get the butterflies as you approach the park on your annual pilgrimage. But there is still ample magic for me at KI especially now with children of my own. I love every second. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
