  1. It seems like I have heard about a possible upgrade to International Street in the coming years. There has been talk about an upgrade to the Royal Fountain with new LED lighting. If you look at the fountains at Kings Dominion and Canada's Wonderland, they have already been upgraded. When they prepare the fountains for WinterFest next year, the lights and nozzles will have to be removed temporarily in order to accommodate the ice rink. So maybe when they have to put it all back together for the 2018 season, they would install new LED lights and spray patterns.
  2. Wow! This is great! I'm listening to these on YouTube and it is bringing back so many memories. The last year these were played in the park was 2006. Once Cedar Fair bought the park, all of this magical feel disappeared.
  3. Another one I just thought of is the Forrest Gump Theme.
  4. One of my best memories as a kid is sitting on International Street eating LaRosa's pizza and watching the fountains while listening to all of the movie themes.
  5. I forgot about Star Wars. And I'm pretty sure they played the Superman theme as well.
  6. Thank you. I always thought that this gave the park a more majestic feel to it. Now its Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez blasting over the speakers.
  7. Hi everyone. I am trying to remember all of the movie themes that would play on International Street during the Paramount era. I already have several that I remember hearing. If you remember one that you don't see on this list, please feel free to share it. Here are the ones I have figured out already. Parade of Charioteers Lawrence of Arabia Top Gun Mission Impossible Ghost Theme Romeo and Juliet A Summer Place St. Elmo's Fire The Champ Theme The Naked Gun Two and a Half Theme James Bond Theme Indiana Jones Theme Titanic Theme
  8. Well this seems to have mixed reviews. I didn't ride it a whole lot but I thought it was still a fun ride. Yes I agree that it had long lines due to the loading capacity. Kiddie land was all different when I was little. Many of the rides were still Hannah Barbera themed. I actually liked the park better when it was still owned by Paramount. It was a whole different atmosphere. I really miss all the movie themes that would play on International Street like Top Gun, Mission Impossible, A Summer Place, James Bond theme and many more.
  9. Who remembers this ride at Kings Island? I used to ride this all the time as a kid. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/563864815821527066/
  10. Hi everyone this is pianomans first trip report. I just became a KICentral member so hopefully I do this right. My real name is Eric Craiglow and I've already met a few of you. So I got to the park just after 10:00. At 10:30 I headed over to Banshee for ERT. Thats always a great way to wake yourself up in the morning. I then headed over to The Beast at 11:00. While waiting in line, I ran into ohiocolts. I had already met him a few times. I talked to him for a few minutes then I rode The Beast. Over the next few hours I took advantage of my Fast Lane plus and rode all of the big coasters. The highlight of my day was getting evacuated on The Bat. It broke down at the top of the lift hill and I was stuck for 20 minutes. At least there was a nice breeze and I got to look at Great Wolf Lodge. Maintenance was unable to fix the problem so one by one, they had us walk down the stairs on the lift hill. Towards the end of the day, I rode the train to see the progress made on Mystic Timbers. After 7:00 I took advantage of last rides of the season. I rode Woodstock Express for the first time in who knows how long. I still remember when it was Beastie and had a tunnel. At the end of the day, I met Malem. He was awesome and told me all about KICentral and the things you guys do. I then took part in the last ride of the year on The Beast. I then made my way to the front of the park and said goodbye until next season.
