    The park suspects it's because I knew the security guard they sent and he and I were chatting prior to them being removed.
     
    Edit: according to the park their text reporting system isn't capable of receiving photographs just fyi

    That’s poor training on the guards fault. This whole issue would have stayed off of you had they just walked it and did the thing. Did they need further instruction on the rapscallions were since no pics?

    Again, a different type of crowd than an event marketed as a DJ dance party...many take this type of event to be an outdoor club and will draw a different age demographic like a bunch of unchaperoned teens coupled with college age kids...that was the mixture in the Paramount marketed dance party...in addition to the the fights, you had 19-year old guys doing a little bump-n-grind with a 14-year old girls....we don't see that at the bandstand event that had lots of families with little ones there...nor would we with a bunch of enthusiasts at an Orion announcement event...

    Maybe your user name isn’t very fitting?

    I don’t think a bunch of kids looking to go clubbing are going to drop the cash to come to KI for an hour of what will likely be the equivalent of a wedding DJ?

    I saw security from an outside company today. Like a rent-a-cop.
    Is that normal?

    That video while there is a large crowd, it looks like younger teens doing the fighting. Impulse control isn’t the strong suit of 14yro’s at all.

    My wife said the Facebook KI group said there was some "gang activity", someone pulled a gun in the parking lot, and a bunch of cops (20) showed up.

    If it’s the same FB group I was reading last night it was 1 guy saying over and over and over it was “gangs” Like he commented after every post insisting it was “gangs” then a couple of folks that were not at the park made “thug” comments.

    I keep trying to take the nihilistic approach of, everyone has access to the vaccine, it’s really on them at this point. Or as my husband more succinctly says “f ‘em, our people are good” but it’s hard.

    Ride Wait Times 2021 Season

    Obviously it was very crowded Saturday, I was disappointed to see how some folks were treating the kids working at Juke Box.  They were obviously overwhelmed and most seemed to be in training.  I will say the one young lady that was attempting to get food out was taking the brunt of the abuse, and she just kept smiling, and doing her best.

    Yesterday was great - walked on most, and only waited a ride cycle for the ones we did have to wait for.  After waiting 2.5 hrs for Orion Sat night, it was a strange feeling walking on the next day lol.

    Mother's Day Crowd

    We went last year on Mothers Day and it wasn't very crowded for rides. Food WAS an issue. I think partly because it was early in the season, new staff, new positions etc. We left and ran to the Jimmy Johns. Even with the walk to the car it was faster than the food lines.  I like spending Mothers Day at the park with my daughter, and it gets me out of breakfast with my MIL!!!!!
