  1. Thanks for the info! The lift hill was so slow on The Beast that I didn't think there would be an issue. I'll refrain in the future!
  2. I need to be more proactive about passing out compliments - getting names etc. Mysti's crew is awesome! Always high energy and so much fun! Last night's ERT was so much fun. I'm still kind of a newb around here (well over 25, if I were honest) and not sure who is who. So Mysti's crew: much love!
  3. I got to the park after work around 6pm. Went straight to Mysti and got on twice in 20 minutes. I got my favorite shed ending the first ride of the day! I then headed to The Beast where I walked on. After that I hit up BLSC for a triple, ending with front row which is the best in my opinion. No more than a train wait each time. I then opted to try FOF after a long hiatus. She was rough- not sure I'll try that again. She gave me a headache and I lost a shoe, which thankfully stayed in the car. Got on in 15 or so minutes. I mosied on over to AE. I will always love that ride. Also a walk on! I left the park for a bite and some hydration- it was quite humid. When I returned, I found out that after 8pm preferred parking is free, which is awesome! That last several yards at the end of the night seems to stretch for an eternity some days. I headed to Planet Snoopy to walk on Boo Blasters twice, scores 900 and 420 respectively. I've rode enough to know when my blaster is acting up, and I know it was the second time around. I'm not sure what causes it. As the sun was starting to set, I returned to The Beast for a night ride. I went on the "end of the train" line as it as nearly empty. I'd say I waited 7-10 minutes. I caught the last train before they closed it for fireworks. I grabbed a sip of water and headed to my favorite, Mysti. This was my first night staying late for Tuesday night ERT. On my first night ride, I caught the fireworks which was amazing! Second row! I got in line again. As a solo rider, I tend to run into a variety of people. I ran into quite the character who was there with two younger boys. He gave me a weird vibe, but thankfully I met a kind soul who I rode with. After ride two of the late night marathon I had to deal with a call off from work (I'm a manager at an interpreting service. I sent some texts to cover the job from the line.) the sweet soul, Andrew happens to be his name, rode with me either two or three more times. I've officially lost count of how many times I've ridden Mysti, and how many times I've had each ending. But, I ended on my favorite ending, so I'm a happy gal. I'd say it's probably one of my #KIBestDays so far! I love me some KI! ❤️
  4. These vines are in The Beast's queue. A possible nod to Mysti? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Got on Mysti in 10 min and I'm line for round two. Got my favorite ending the first time... hoping to get all three. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone down at the park today? Are lots of rides up and running with the drizzle?
  7. Night before last, I dreamed that a YouTube buddy (a fellow vlogger whom I've never met) was driving me around the park on a golf cart and I was giving him a tour. (He is from Louisiana and has never been to KI.) Suddenly, we were in the middle of the woods and the plot to MT started to take place in real life - somewhat like the video clips that they show in the queue. The only way for us to escape from the crazy tree monsters was to ride every coaster in the park. We succeeded, the overgrowth retreated, and all was well. Last night I was riding all of my favorites - The Beast, MT, AE, The Bat, BB. This morning when I was hitting snooze (a couple of times ;)) I kept telling myself I would get up after I rode Mysti just one more time.
  8. I've been reading up! Some stories I've heard for years, while others I've seen new info on through the forums here. I thought maybe @VortexBFForever had a personal experience to share.
  9. Am I the only one who still gets giddy when they get the first glimpse of the ET when driving to the park, seeing the Royal Fountain upon entering, and then trying to decide what to ride first? Am I the only one who smiles like a dork just walking through the park or when I'm next in line to get on a coaster? Am I the only one who has Kings Island dreams? LOL - This happens more often than one would think. This morning hitting snooze I kept thinking to myself, "I'll get up after I ride Mysti one more time." PS - Is it creepy to like or comment on super old posts around here? Hope everyone is having a fabulous day.
  10. I'm with @jcgoble and@homestar92. They said all of the things I was thinking, only articulated them neater. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That's basically where I am. You're closed? No worries, I have all season to shop. But maybe, "Sorry, we're closed," would have been nice. It was still an epic end to a Monday and a half day (work-wise) and doesn't affect my over all love for all things KI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I just got into my car from visiting the park. About 5 minutes ago I stopped in the shop right after the funpix stand on the right- it's either 80s or 90s themed. I wanted to inquire about the King Cobra shirt. I walked through the (wide open) entrance maybe 10:05-10:08 and asked the gentleman who was working. I walked over to some t-shirts. He said, I'm sorry but you'll have to leave now." I kind of just looked at him and he gestured toward the exit. I understand that the park technically closed at 10:00, but there were still people in like for ice cream and lots walking down International Street. The last thing I would ever want to do would be to inconvenience someone or overstay my welcome- but I just saw this as odd. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. I'm the past hour walked on WindSeeker, AE AND Banshee. I'm like for my first night ride on misti. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm in line now. I'll ask Siri. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Waited 30 min for MT just now. Third time, And I've had all three endings. Was about four trains away and they called for single riders. #solostatus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I had a hankering for MT and was going to go down at rope drop but slept in instead. Kind of glad! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Here! As I was watching the others, this was suggested. Let's just say YouTube knows me well. Lots of KI stuff in my queue. https://youtu.be/4ACouB-2kmA 1. I LOVE old video footage such as this. Helps you to visualize (for those of us who weren't exactly there) what the park looked like in different eras. 2. It's been far too long since I've ridden The Beast. This must change.
  19. It was more so that they thought it wasn't extreme enough because it didn't have inversions. They didn't expect them. These guys were all about "extreme" and aren't able to appreciate more chill rides. I don't feel like the extreme factor is a must to have fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. If the preview was Friday, then I saw the very first show! (Saturday 05/27 at 1:30!) Sweet!
  21. Maybe it's just Chrome? Does anyone have a new link? I'll try mapquest.
  22. As a newb, I've been looking around the forums, doing a lot of reading on my down time at work. I love reading all of the discussions, past and present. I love knowing as much as I can about all of the things I love - KI being one of them. So, I saw on @Mystic.Timber1's wondering on the Rumors feed what was going on in the field behind the Banshee. So, I used my Columbo-like research skills and headed on over to Google Earth to peek at the park, which I hadn't done before. It still shows Son of Beast! It's interesting to see this time period of the park and what it looked like, but at the same time I kind of wanted to see what MT looked from the sky (in 3D of course)! I wonder when they'll do an update? These images have to be a few years old. 23. The past few times I've been to the park I've ridden The Bat on repeat, not usually having to wait more than a train or two. Even first row, which in my opinion is the best! I was there on Memorial Day (yes, I know! ) and the ride op on the unload side would say as we were exiting, "Have a bat-tastic day!" with a huge smile on her face. Her enthusiasm was contagious, as was her smile. I told her as much. #battastic
