  1. oooooooh greeeeeeeen. It's so pretttttty. Let's name it Orville and Wilbur's Wild GiGa. LOL. Or the Wright's Wild Wonderful _______. I'm in favor of this location, color and a Wright-themed name. WGSG, who loves all.the.colors.... and Daytonian flight inventors.
  2. Random - but is GMC the make of truck/car/motor vehicle that ends up in they grassy island in Coney? What are the odds?
  3. Maybe the rotting zombie flesh? Hehe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Anyone care to share which time slot they chose? I haven't purchased my ticket yet, but I did join a club.
  5. ...when you want to board ET just to stare at the park layout. ...and you're excited to watch fireworks from the observation deck.
  6. You'll find some stuff from the PKI era over on KIExtreme.com. The site is all but dead, but worth a gander.
  7. Some of the props are small but that doesn't make them any less cooler. WhenGodSaysGo, Feeling that punny Friday vibe. TGIF!!!
  8. ^^^Agreed. Just speculation. That was back in the OG KI days. I wish I'd been born about twenty years earlier to have seen that. And maybe catch a Racer ride with Don and a Beast ride with Carl. Sigh.
  9. I realize that The Beast is a one of a kind coaster made in house. However, I can't help but wonder what kind of coaster (Giga or otherwise) current park engineers/maintenance staff would come up with given their experience in running and repairing our favorite rides. If the sky was the limit, what would they do? Hmmm...
  10. Diamondback? Boring? Nah. LOL. I've swallowed a handful of bugs on that coaster. WGSG, perhaps too easily impressed.
  11. Welcome to KIC! I LOVE Xtreme Skyflyer. I kinda feel like if it's moved, it would fit nicelly in X-Base, no?
  12. I would love this! Maybe they could do it the old Action Theatre! You'd have to sign a whiplash waiver!
  13. I can totally appreciate that. However, Oktoberfest seems to have shrunk over the years. I'd love to see something new over there.
  14. It doesn't have to go a different direction. It just needs some love to get it back to where it was. An alternative option would just be to love on the area in any form - Oktoberfest or otherwise.
  15. Well, obviously friend foods smell better than your own food. And they usually taste better too. I meant fried* foods. LOL -whengodsaysgo, making her last postas a KIC Local.
  16. You know it's the off season when you miss the crowd sounds (and coaster screams) and the smell of friend foods, desserts and sunscreen.
  17. I love the Oktoberfest theme as much as the next person, but honestly the theming that was once there is so far gone, it would almost make sense to go a completely different route. It's the smallest "area" of the park.
  18. I had planned early on (weeks in advance) to go to the KIC meetup on closing day of Winterfest. This was when the temps first started dipping super low, and there was a lot of talk of the park not opening for the night. I made a point to keep an eye on park social media postings, keep up with my KI friends and the KI Pass Holders Facebook group and even called guest services to ensure the park would be open. It was decided very early in the day that no rides would operate. Boo Blasters was the only actual ride that was running. Ride ops were told not to even report to work. This sort of eliminates the idea that it could have been the KI/MV RR or Mysti’s crew(s). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. When you want blue ice cream so bad you can almost taste it!
  20. Yes it is! After meeting up with so many of you and getting involved with the coaster enthusiast community, this will be my first event. I'm still debating on which club to join, but I'm excited for what the future holds. I'll be beside myself I'm sure. Hope you guys are ready for that!! lol
  21. I think it looks kind of sleek. I can dig it, for sure. Is it April yet??
  22. For nostalgia reasons, I miss Phantom Theatre and Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal. Fantastic memories on those two. I think the biggest shame was not doing SOB right. I rode it on it's opening year, and again later without the loop. I was much younger and could handle rougher coasters much better - it was never smooth. I'm with @Bpat1983 that it could have been done better. Edit: Also TR:TR/Crypt. That's such a fantastic show building. Although I love Madame Fatale's, it could be used for something epic, no?
